New Ditch: Pro Vs. Con

I went to the rants and saw a lot about the new ditch...I'm sort of looking for a more rational side of the community's view...

 

This may be dumb but I'm gonna make a pro vs. con list about the ditch, adding as you do...

 

 

 

Pro:

 

Lures have very little affect now.

 

 

 

Cons:

 

Less wilderness (Notably less lvl 1 space.)

 

Takes away from the charm of the deathground :thumbsup:

 

 

 

 

 

It won't get better unless I get help...

Easy noob ditcher to pro. If they follow you keep crossing it, keep doing that than randomly run at one point. Or you could just run.. lol

The sign stands out more to new players so they would just keep clicking into the wildy and lose the sign. You have to click accept.

The sign won't that be useful. New players probably won't even read through the warning message and just click enter directly.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

well, the first day it didnt have the warning...and i was like, well its not that bad. But now it just seems to get more and more anoyying everytime i go across it.

 

However i dont think its that much of an inconvienience that people should make rants about it, its not like takeing the 1-2 seconds to get across it is so tedious that its going too really slow down runecrafting or something.

Pro: you can now walk from edgeville to the monastary the short way without entering the wild

 

 

 

Thats a pretty big pro.

 

I haven't checked yet but is crafting mind runes harder by having to cross the ditch or don't you have to?

Pro: Noobs will find it harder to enter the wilderness and get killed, because they dunno how to cross the ditch :)

 

 

 

Thats a con. Its fun killing noobs who bring nice stuff and are stupid.

Lol anyway, If you keep jumping over it, and if you do it at the right time, Your character will float over it.

why is it so hard not to trade near the wildy?

I'm just glad that in making this, they removed the old warning, that would pop up at the most annoying times (Edgeville to Fairy Rings, mainly). I haven't tested out the effect on Abyss running, mainly because I haven't been training it.

Pro: Less newbs to waste pk food on. More challenging opponents? The monk prayer walk being safe. The cool new non-agility move that f2p can use~not just to jump over some sheep fence.

 

 

 

Con: Member complaints. Member complaints. Member complaints.

 

 

 

Wonder what were the other suggestions besides the ditch?

that ditch thing is a bit awkward to me:

 

 

 

pro: it allows you to mage/range the wilderness skellies at edgeville without being attacked

 

 

 

con: i saw a lvl3 mage wind striking them, almost taking over that spot.

I actually like the ditch very much.... ::'

 

pro: less luring (been said)

 

con: if you have a big clan following you when you hop over you gotta wait forever for the rest to realize they gotta hop the ditch.

It looks ugly, I think it should be like 2+ squares wide, because the one now looks like a liuttle dryed up steam :?

 

 

 

I was wondering how a little ditch 6 inches wide could be such a barrier... :-k
