does anybody have suspissions of the new ancient mace becoming a staple along with the ddp. I say this because of the prayer draining effects of it. Finally(correct if i'm wrong) a new semi-wothwhile weapon \ :-k

I think it will never be as popular as DDS.

 

Although I'm fairly sure it will be a barrows trip staple just like the holy wretch was/is.

well yeah it wouldn't be as popular as the ddp but for quest wep Jagex actually did a decent job...

Yeah its ok I guess, but its hard to hit high enough with it to make the boost worthwhile. The highest i've hit is a 13, and it completely drains your special bar.

 

 

 

P.S. Its a Goblin mace, not a dwarven one

Why would draining prayer help at barrows? I am a total barrows noob btw.

 

 

 

Also does the mace drain your opponents prayer or what? If so surely it's a good idea for KQ?

it heals prayer actually, to be more accurate. and no @ kq it probably would not be helpful since her def is high and you usually need a good considerable amount of prayer points to kill her, instead of 1-15 points.

This thing needs testing, is it possible to get 99 prayer by using the special over and over again?

If it heals prayer rather then stealing it and adding it, then yes this would be a great weapon for barrows. I'll have to look into it later

No, suppose I hit a 10 with the mace special, and say I have 60 prayer. I would now have 70/60 prayer.

 

Then I hit a 7 with my special, however my prayer level is still 70/60.

 

But if the next time I hit a 13 with special my prayer will now be 73/60.

 

 

 

Apparently 13 is the max hit by the way.

Effect one : If its a player you just damaged, it drains prayer.

 

 

 

Effect two : Boosts your prayer (even above your level)

people have spoken of hitting 16 with the mace...the highest i have seen is 112/99

I think the stats are too bad to make it very useful.

 

Most people would rather use 4 dds specials than 13 extra prayer points.

 

4 good dds specials with smite on remove a lot more points and 13 points for a full special bar isn't worth it for me, I'd rather take a sip of prayer potion.

I am currently 112/96 prayer after the quest.

 

 

 

Of course - the thing owed me. The first hit was a 0, so i had to hide and wait and wait and wait for the special bar to come back.

Anyone know how to get a second one after the quest? I'm trying to find Tegdak again, but am having some difficulty. (If you drop mace and talk to Zanik he'll eventually tell you to talk to Tegdak...)

Why is 13 the max hit? Tip.it max hit calc says it can hit 32 on undead wearing all that strength bonus stuff :|

Prayer goes 2x as fast when in the tunnles, so unless you are REALLY fast down there, it would be gone lol

NAME: Ancient Mace

 

SPEC: might make ur prayer get boosted[like when u pray at the monestary it gets +2...i managed to get a total of +14 wid that new mace]

 

How SPEC works: When u hit some npc or monster u use a spec it drains full energy and u MIGHT get a prayer bonus. suppose u r 59 prayer it might become 60 or 63 or even 70...it stays there...den u wait a while and ur spec energy is full again u go ahead and use it once more...and if u r lucky u get another boost and the boost stacks. and teh boost is permanent as long as u dont use it up or die or duel or do pc.

 

so in short to reach +14 prayer u might need to use the spec more than once..yet just one time might get u there.[i say +14 coz thats the max i got]

 

Advantage: before doing barrows u can just get ur prayer high enough[i have no idea if 99+14 can be done] and then leave it in the bank and go kick ghostly rears.
