July 5, 200719 yr What's so bad about it? Seems like when ever I am in the wilderness I read the word "Safer" like a thousand times. Seems like a greedy thing to say. "Don't eat so I can KO you and get your stuff ;)" The point of eating is to heal you when you are injured. During a fight you get injured. Eat. Not really a complaint. I shrug it off when people call me a safer. I think it is just sad how greedy a lot of people are in this game. What do you all think? When survival is in question, anything goes.
July 5, 200719 yr People call others safers because they're just mad because they're eating while being attacked, a good method to save time. They call them safers because they don't want them to safe anymore during that battle, hoping they'll win.

July 6, 200719 yr I think it is just sad how greedy a lot of people are in this game. Well by safeing you making it pretty much impossible for the other player to have a chance to kill you and earn a few 100k, so your overprotecting your pixels. While usually the opposing player is not safeing as much as you. That seems a little greedy to me. ^^ Thats another way to look at it, which after writing i don't really completely agree with :S. July 6, 200719 yr Even though I don't agree, what the pkers are saing is it is just a waste of time, pots, and food to fight someone who will just heal, and then when they are all out of food to run, the point of pking is to fight to the death ( I think :uhh: ).
July 6, 200719 yr yeah, i agree with you capone. Even if you pray to a 20 v.s 1 match I actually got called a "food noob" for eating shark in a 6 v 1 match once, by almost all of them. I've been called a "range noob" about 100 times for using range on people when they pray melee. I could easily write another 10 examples like those. Capone Sabre since April 2001.99 Attack, Defence, Strength and Hitpoints Achieved January 2005. When it still meant something.

July 6, 200719 yr People who call others safers are just looking for an easy KO. With Dharoks, the Dark bow, the DDS, ancients, ect., it's pretty dangerous not to safe, because you could find yourself at 60% health one second and 0% the next.
July 6, 200719 yr 90% of the people who call you a 'safer' have no idea what it is. The true meaning is over eating or eating more than is needed such as you have 40/60 hp and your opponent hits 10 max with his scimitar. Once you're down to 35, you eat to full health. That is safing. If you're down to 5/60 hp and he hits 10, that is not safing, that is surviving.

July 6, 200719 yr The wilderness is disgusting, filled with many immature people. I, personally haven't pked for years because of this fact. I can find lots of stupid things to do in real life where i can get insulted, I prefer not to in a game, where people think because they are hiding behind some pixels, they can say whatever they want. Well, there's Runescape in a nutshell, basically why I play with chat off, and talk to my real friends on msn or whatever
July 6, 200719 yr safing is mostly used in edge-wild. The reason you shouldn't safe if you are pking in edge is because it doesn't really do a whole lot but waste food. If both players eat to keep their health nearly full, then the fight just goes on until someone about is out of food, and at this point, they take off running with there full health and 1-2 sharks left-over in there inventory. If everyone safed, kills would be impossible. Now at MB or anywhere deep in the wilderness, safing, in my mind, is fine. It's actually a disadvantage to eat constantly because you get less hits in yourself.
July 6, 200719 yr the only people who have a right to call you a safer, is someone from rs1, in that, you cant even eat, teleport or break any of the honor rules that rs2 has that were brought down from the rs1 gods. thats why people say rs1 pking is better, there is always more rules to it. its not like in rs2 where you teleport all day long and safe and farcast. in rs1, it took skill to pk aswell. 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin
July 6, 200719 yr I don't see why people have a problem with farcasting, as that's the method mages are supposed to use to fight. Anyway, I digress. Safing I don't take much issue with. When a person safes, they potentially waste time they could've used to attack the opponent- and if they continue to do this, you end up getting more hits in on them than vice versa. And for you, that's a good thing. So don't get all heated up if someone safes. They're doing YOU a favor. Still enjoying RuneScape?

July 6, 200719 yr Basically when they say you're safe-ing, they're saying "Turn your back, it'll be easier for me to stab." (That's a Marilyn Manson quote, btw. Love that man.) We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.
July 6, 200719 yr Remember, Runescape is a place where its frowned upon to have an advantage over your fellow players.
July 6, 200719 yr "Honor pking" is for noobs who can't beat their enemy without rules to stop them from running. Safing, teleporting, eating, or any other thing "honor (noob) pkers" deem wrong is fine. Nothing is wrong with safing. Protect your items.

July 6, 200719 yr Why is "safe-ing" even a term...? People seem to verbify everything that doesn't make sense now. "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
