I have previously been Tip.It Crew and have been doing a couple of behind the scenes things for Tallest for a couple of months now. As you said, you know the nomination process, as do I from last time I worked on the staff, it rarely (if ever?) takes less than a month for a mod to be nominated and accepted. By your logic, does my girlfriend being on staff mean that I am no longer eligible to ever be part of the staff aswell? Each mod candidate is reviewed by several staff for a long time, favoritism doesn't pass through that.I don't have an opinion either way who gets chosen for mods but you can't honestly expect people to believe that you or other mods is going to say anything other than your post can you? By your logic, does my girlfriend being on staff mean that I am no longer eligible to ever be part of the staff aswell? To be perfectly honest to keep everything legit ya I do think it should. Not that you couldnt work for the staff in some other capacity and im sure you'll do a fine job but I don't think we need "couples' modding together. To be honest i would like to see more of the "golden-oldies" become moderators as it is true that these two have not been around that long compared to others such as yourself (Trix) and it would be nice to see others such as Darkrick or perhaps Mercifull becoming moderators as i am fully sure they are deserving of that title judging from the good work they do around the less viewed forums. They are useful and shows he knows something about these forums. 11 days after tripsis gets admin her e-boyfriend gets mod, thats favoritism, anyway you look like that. I actually think i have to agree with him... I never see either post on HandA. Dork, never posts on suggestions, and to be fair, i dont think i ever seen either of them post outside Blogscape. Most likely deserved but since i don't post in said forums i can't tell for sure so i'll just go with benifit of the doubt :P @Gin_and_Tonic: If you want "wtf" mods, i can remember one person who only posted in a private board who ended up as a mod despite 'no' votes being cast from the majority of staff. no one except the admins and a select few mods could even see their posts, but that's not the point - they had no posts within the community they were expected to moderate - i was still a mod at the time and that was downright :uhh: @mrmyk: Thanks for the ah... support... but to be perfectly honest - very slim chance of that happening unless you can expunge 6 years of history :uhh: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I won't obviously tell you how long, but I can certainly say in my case it was a lot longer, and I know people who's process took longer than mine! Congrats to both Devoted and Dork. I don't know Dork as well, but I know he's a great member of this community. Devoted I've seen on some boards and I know he'll make a good mod. Well deserved both of you! :D It is absolutely ridiculous to think Tripsis being made an Admin has anything to do with her boyfriend being made a moderator, especially when he's proved his effectiveness on the Tip.It Staff before. She's not exactly saying, "Welcome my lovely adorable boyfriend to the Mod team! To be honest no one needs to explain why people are chosen. If a mature active poster comes along then don't expect to us to let them pass us by without being hauled up. They don't come along too often if you hadn't noticed. To the poster asking about "golden oldies", you have no idea. This is really not a suitable place to discuss this either. I suggest if anyone has a problem they take it up privately with someone (whether it be staff or whoever) rather than trying to belittle or bash the staff.
