October 6, 200718 yr I'd probably hand it in, but I'd vye for a finders fee first. Very curious as to how it fell off though, wouldn't surprise me one bit if they threw it off themselves. I'd definately keep it, stuff it into my mattress.Just got out of bed and read that as "stuff it into my mistress". Mornin' people... -This message was deviously brought to you by:
October 6, 200718 yr Please stop posting new articles. We can read the damn news ourselves. If we don't read it, it's probably because we don't care and don't want to read it.
October 6, 200718 yr I'd keep it but once they notice it's missing they track down the serial #'s and if it registers in a bank your owned .Atleast with some banks that is. But it's 65,000 dollars! October 6, 200718 yr Even if the money is picked up by someone, I tihnk that they should give the woman an amount for her high level of honesty.
October 6, 200718 yr To be fair if I worked at a solid waste operations facility i'd be straight out of there with 65k. Or i'd chuck it in the compactor and watch it all be destrooyyeddd.
October 6, 200718 yr Another random news story. Awesome. Yeah, I'm sure we can all read a paper or watch the news ourselves. We really don't need a new topic for every article that pops up. How about we get a sticky for this? I already proposed that. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!
October 6, 200718 yr I definitely would have kept it and would generously throw it around. ("Please sir, do you have some change?" "Sure, have a 100$ bill."; "Hey guys, i'll have a party, don't bring anything..."; "That's 4.35$" "Heres 10$, keep the change."; .... 8-)
October 6, 200718 yr I definitely wouldn't have given it back purely because any person or organisation that takes so little care with that much money clearly has too much. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

October 6, 200718 yr I don't know what I'd do, I've never been in a situation like this with more than 10 euros at stake... October 6, 200718 yr I don't mind the News Reports. What else would we post. It is off-topic. +1...so don't be jerks guys :? Thats funny....I hate to say this, but i'm not sure what I would've done with the money Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword. Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!
October 6, 200718 yr Return it, of course. I couldn't sleep if I kept it myself. Last time when I was working I forgot to give a cinemacheque to a man who bought 2 dvd's (dvds from warner = a cinemacheque of 7.50 for free). I wanted to take it with me, since nothing was wrong with me taking it because it was an extra to the DVD's which I simply forgot to give, and I put it in my bag, but at the end of the day after I closed everything it just didn't feel right taking it with me. So I put it back. That was only a ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì7.50 cinemacheque, I couldn't imagine how I would feel if I had ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì65.00,-- that weren't really mine. :P Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
October 6, 200718 yr First, I would ask myself, "What am i really going to do with 65 grand?". The answer: I have no idea. But I'm sure I'll think of something  I'd probably turn in about half, 3/4 at the most. Certainly not all of it. Command the Murderous Chalices! October 6, 200718 yr I remember seeing s similar story on the news, another worker found a bag with 200 thousand dollars. he turned it in but never got a cent of it back ro days off or any reward whatsoever. I think days off from work would be a reasonable thing to deserve for such honesty. if it was me, it would have probably taken me ages to decide whether to turn it in or keep it, and i woulda probably compromised by giving half of it and keep the other half, saying it fell out or something... [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.
October 6, 200718 yr I wouldn;t even say it fell off. if they asked about the other half, I;d just say, "yea, I'm keeping it. Possession is 9/10 of the law, i found it, it's rightfully mine". I think days off from work would be a reasonable thing to deserve for such honesty. You act like adults need to be pampered like children to do the right thing in this situation. Oh, wait... #-o . - Seeing as how I've never found $100 on the ground, let alone 65grand, I have no idea what I'd do. If it was later in my life and I had enough money, [i believe] I'd turn it in. But if it was after college, and I was strapped for cash... eh, I might pocket a bit, but turn most of it in. I want to say I'd turn it in, I think I would, but obviously I am in no position to say whether or not I really would. October 6, 200718 yr You can get arrested for keeping that amount of money if you just found it. At least someone did earlier this week.
October 6, 200718 yr if i had found a plastic bag of $65,000 i would think it was either stolen or drug money. if it were someones rightfully earned money it'd be in a bank not in a plastic bag in the street
October 6, 200718 yr i guess so, since the chances of someone withdrawing that much money from the bank or something and just losing it is very low.
October 6, 200718 yr I kind of respect craig for continuing to post, even though he's getting flamed by 3/4 of the OT, even I am a little cranky of the news threads. But he is persistent. :-# I would have have taken that money and would be halfway from buying all the lottery tickets in Southern Ontario. ^^ You respect him for being an annoying attention seeker? October 7, 200718 yr I definitely would have kept it and would generously throw it around. ("Please sir, do you have some change?" "Sure, have a 100$ bill."; "Hey guys, i'll have a party, don't bring anything..."; "That's 4.35$" "Heres 10$, keep the change."; .... 8-) Hahaha you sound exactly like me 8-) even when I'm evil, some way, shape, or form I still manage to do good. When I won a lot of money one time I put a bar tab on, tipped extremely generously to the people who have to work behind a bar for a living and to serve food to people for a living and bought the left over bread, cakes and buns etc and donated it to the shelter. I didn't have much left but it made me feel good. Then one time when I had drank some home brew and it was too pure, I started frothing from the mouth, slipping in and out of consciousness and the guy down the road saved my life who was on my bar tab from my previous win. I'm a firm believer in karma.
