rushrock
Ouch, sorry to hear that. Make sure his [wagon] gets fired. So, it started like this. I slept over my friend's house, and the following day we were hanging out at the trees near the tennis court when this kid named Hunter came over to us. He was a little kid. We talked a bit, and then somehow got an idea to play ding-dong-ditch (the game where you ring the doorbell and run away...). We played that for a bit, and then the little kid started throwing berries at the house. I think I threw one of them, but I wasn't really into this and wanted to stop. Sort of. We then proceeded to talk about more ways to harass this guy. Anyways, turns out that the lady next door went over to us and said "Hey! I just heard everything you guys have been discussing and you know what? I'm going over there and telling him!" So now I felt really bad because I knew I took this too far. I offered to just leave and never do it again to try and settle this problem. That didn't do a thing. She told the man, and the man just went "Well, this certainly is a serious problem. I will need to see what I should do. And maybe I better call the police." All I could think about was the fact that we barely did anything, though it was wrong, and that certainly the neighbors must've been in a bad mood to do such a thing. So, the cops eventually showed up, along with Hunter's dad and my friend's parents. Hunter's dad merely said "Don't worry officer, I got it from here. Let's go Hunter.", and he said this in the harshest voice I've ever heard, like he was going to literally kill the poor kid. My friend's parents were like "What the hell..." and the cops were like "Ha, this is boring. I got called over here for this?" The whole thing was blown way out of proportion. Anyway, the neighbors charged us with vandalism, disturbing the peace, and a broken tree branch from the tree my friend was leaning on. My friend went home, and the cops took me in their car (front seat lol) to meet my parents at the station. Pretty much only because my mom couldn't drive over there and had to meet me somewhere. I never got in trouble because I discussed it with her and she decided that it wasn't really my fault, even though some of it probably was lol. Oh well. That's my story. :P
Bloodredsword
The title of this thread and your name are mildly ironic lol Thats the first thing I thought of. Wallettheif
*looks at thread title* "I got arrested." *Looks at username* Wallettheif *puts 2 and 2 together* Well, I'm glad it all worked out. Your friend was smart, getting it all on video, otherwise he'd have no evidence against the cop (although I'm betting he had YouTube as priority over court when he took the vid).lol, he posted it on YouTube. "Mr. Boner goes wild" His name was Officer John Bohner, and you pronounce his last name "Boner" I'd be pretty pissed off too, if my last name sounded like "Boner". :XD: The game. Futurama
He's in the crap for that. Totally illegal and totally corrupt... closest i've personally come was when the police tried to arrest me for throwing biscuits at someones window when i was like 13. hahah. just got took home in a police car. aside from that my friends have been in trouble for fighting before, but nothing really bad. A friend of mine was pulled for being over the limit before, but the officer smelled his breath and said "had to pull you over, you've got your headlights off." didnt clock on at all! my mate genuinely forgets to turn them on a lot, hahah. he was okay though, only a little over the limit. nine naked men
Dude, what a freaking jerk. He went through all that just to get your stuff? I would've just followed you home and broken into your house while you were sleeping, tbh. Less risky. Anyways, it's good to see that he got what was coming to him. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
Rcty
He was probably mad about something and decided to take it out on the nearest group of kids he saw, it's not very typical, but...Oh, wait! That's what people (besides officers) do every single day to innocent people! *slaps head* ~Rcty Rcty

Lenin64
A few times, actually, but I think the cops were only called once. (In no particualr order-I was too young to remember the exact sequence of events) Time number one: Me and a few friends were playing around near a street, just talking, jumping on and off this wall that was there to protect pedestrains from the street (but it was 5 feet or so from the street >.<). I got the crazy idea to do something I thought at the time was, at minimum, mildly humerous. I leaped in front of an oncoming schoolbus. It was a long ways away, and I didn't stay there long, maybe five seconds before jumping back onto the grass. Unfortunatly for me, however, a passing motorist saw everything, parked in the driveway of a house next to us, and started yelling. We did the only thing any young 8-ish child would do; we ran :XD: I forget if the guy caught us or not, but it scared the daylights out of us, and somehow my parents found out and I was grounded. It probably didn;t help that I wasn't supposed to be near that street in the first place... Time number two: Me and one of the guys I was with in time numero uno, still about 8 years old, and it was just after either Halloween or Thanksgiving. The gap between two townhouses (the ones stuck together in a chain) was rife with pumpkins. It was near the same street....can you guess what happens next? Well, we decided to try and roll the pumpkins between the wheels of passing vehicles. We actually did it a few times, until one "Good Samaritan" pulled over. She started chasing us,. and, in a panic, we ran straight to my friend's house. The cops were called. :anxious: No charges were pressed, but I was grounded for a long time. Time number three: Still roughly 8-ish (I only lived in this area for two years). That same pumpkin friend and I were in his dad's car in his driveway. It was an old car. But I was in the backseat having a look around, when he jumps out of the car. I think, "where's he going?" then look down. We're moving. I scramble towards the front, attempting to escape, when we ht the neighbors' car. Whamo, i go flying into the dashboard. both cars were only slightly damaged, so no real biggie. However, the neighbors were out of town when it happened. When they got back they freaked because they thought some hit-and-run had taken place, but they learned what happened. So that's it. Wow, this may be my longest post ever :D Command the Murderous Chalices! Powman3
HOLY ----! Jeez, what a [bleep]. It's a good thing you got your stuff back and a proper trial. Anyway, we just had a deputy come in class today to teach us about the Constitution. He told us a cop needs to have reasonable suspicion and something else... can't remember... Nero
Me and my friends had the ETF surround us in the school's parking lot one night when we were drinking because one of us was running down the street pistol whipping my other friend with a toy gun yelling he was going to kill him (he took one of his beers). mrpez
He will probably be found guilty under violating the 4th Amendment which concerns search and seizure. I don't know why he thought you were carrying cocaine, but if he did not have probable cause to search you or your car he will be found guilty for sure. knives669
Wow. That's insane. Sounds to me like you kept your cool and handled it well. I have never really had any run-ins with the law myself. :P But, a couple of my friends have been arrested, and an acquaintance of mine was even shot by a cop. We even had a guy get arrested at school. It was quite the sight to see since he basically resisted arrest for ten minutes.
VurtualRuler98
No direct police-me things, though someone did try to steal christmas presents today... They were a neighbor, and they knocked, and my mother was like "hurry! downstairs!" and stuff, so I waited, and eventually they just made sure noone was home, went into a car and tried to take the stuff in it, then my mom yelled out, and eventually got them arrested, regretting it. Sir, the Panzerschreck squad is blocking the road!
arizark
only bad experience i have had with the cops is when they made me tip all my grog out on new years because i was underage haha, sure i was in the wrong but still was $40 worth of vodka so wasn't happy lol, at least i got drunk enough to try to put the spilled vodka back in the bottle after they left  failed
ixfd64
That officer totally abused his power. This is like a RuneScape player moderator saying "give me your whip or I'll mute you." Unless the officer has reasonable suspicion, you can refuse the search, provided that he does not have a warrant. Also, if the officer is to arrest you, he must read you your Miranda rights. I hope that the officer would be removed from force. I was on the verge of taking his tazer and seeing how he likes it :? I wouldn't do that, IMO. That would give the officer the right to use lethal force. IGoddessI
There are definitely pig headed police men and women out there who abuse their powers (and much worse than your story) but for some reason I'm not sure if I believe you. :-k The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. ____
There are definitely pig headed police men and women out there who abuse their powers (and much worse than your story) but for some reason I'm not sure if I believe you. :-kI can since that's kind of happened to me before :-? Out with Tyson, Rowen and Michael... and we got pulled over since we were in Tyson's Seirra (cop-magnet given it's condition) and they just asked what we were doing out so late, if we had id, etc. General stuff. Fair go it was like 4am, but we just said we'd been out in the 4x4 trails of Logan Village. Got into a bit of a tiff about it being private property till Tyson pulled out his street directory and showed them that it was public land. After that they actually appologised for that misunderstanding but asked to see if we had anything we shouldn't have. Since we didn't they asked to see the contents of our pockets and backpacks... They gave me a pretty rough time about having my knife on me (i use a 4.5" blade for work) and since I still had my staff ID in there also they finally agreed to my version of events. Tried to find something sus tho... pushy bastards. Luckily they didn't know the total lift on the 4x4 was actually illegal, as the size of the tyres :D We got lucky. cryztalwing
The Department of Homeland Security have been training officers all over the United States to act that way, mostly throw Blackwater USA. They are getting them ready for the new laws that will soon come into effect, such has the Real ID Act. Also for Martial Law if Bush decides to declare it. Many of the new Cops are also Iraq vets back from Iraq, were they were train to act that way towards the Iraqi people, and they are told to treat American's just the same. Heck they are even hiring illegal aliens from Mexico who are not citizens to be cops.
