Its so awesome when that happens! I remember I was 1 minute away from accepting my entrance scholarship and in doing so committing to the university by e-mailing them when I get an e-mail saying they're offering me more money cause they thought the initial amount wasn't enticing enough :thumbsup:

It's $12,000 for all four years, so $3,000 for each year or $1,500 for each semester. Either way, combined with the Hazlewood Act, it takes a good load off of my family's shoulders.

Not bad though, thats a decent chunk off tuition per semester especially if you're in-state.

Well, I guess Something did cheer me up. I was flicking through Apples' Website looking for the careers section and I found a thread regarding a recall on Gen 1 iPod Nanos. Apparently they're doing a recall due to a potential Hazard with the battery used in it causing a health hazard from intense heating/burns, and are willingly replacing them free with new model Nanos. And I JUST so happened to still have mine living inside my desk drawers. Just need to buy new headphones for it now.

Nice on getting this $12k scholarship. It would almost pay for all my tuition to have something good like that. Grats!

 

Also It's nice to be back at my place, but I'm as bored as I was at my parent's house.

Just got interviewed and photographed, I'm going to be in a book releasing this fall about vinyl records and collectors (The New Face of Vinyl: Youth's Digital Devolution). I'm one of the three people they chose from San Francisco, pretty cool. Plus I get a free copy when it's released.

I will never understand people who buy apple stuff. It's overpriced and you get the same thing as the other manufacturers. Is iOS still unable to do more than one thing at a time? that's one huge disadvantage of the iphones/ipads.

No, you've been able to multitask since iOS 4 (something like 2 years now). I've been using Apple products (mostly computers) for a long now though, and I find their products most practical for my lifestyle. I also am not one of those persons that goes out and buys the newest Apple products just to have the latest. This will be my first iPad. My brother is getting his because he works for a internet company and their primary focus is their iPad app.

Today, I got chosen to be one of 2 people from my country to spend a week in Portugal almost for free in the start of April. Am quite happy atm, specially 'cause I am leaving for Germany on Friday, no school tomorrow, 18th birthday (meaning EVERYTHING available, 'cept casinos) on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday as only school days next week, classmates b'day Wednesday night, skiing trip to country's best ski resort on next Thursday and me celebrating my b'day on the next Saturday.

From what I've seen from touchscreens, apple products are just better.

 

I'm not a big fan of their other stuff, but when it comes to their touchscreen products, they're a clear step above everything else imo.

Not to mention I've had my same iPod Touch since 2008 now and it's still going strong. I use it every day for music, games, internet, etc. Can't think of any other device that could do it as well as the iPod.
