Maze
Some of my "friends" at lunch thought it would be funny to shout that I play RuneScape out loud at lunch. There goes my reputation...What reputation? You play runescape. Students at my school like to make fun of RS players. Stereotyping them as nerds and losers and such... Pretty [developmentally delayed]ed if you ask me. Just because a game requires patience and intelligence automatically makes it a "nerd" game. Same goes for any medieval fantasy game. Intelligence, really? Knowing and using the in-game economy to your advantage requires some intelligence. I do admit that I do not speak about RS unless it is my close friends who know about it. How did it get out? Well, I made one little reference to it with my friend and someone overheard. -.-
champion
I signed up for classes for next year. Nothing exciting really. I'm taking a graphic design course during the summer. And I saw a kid at school dump the contents of a garbage can on top of another kid, who then proceeded to beat the [cabbage] out of a plexi-glass window. Lenin64
Had a test in the morning and then spent the rest of my day playing Uncharted 2 after the PS3 bug got fixed. What was that PS3 bug all about? Today, I actually understood all of what we did in Physics. Probably the first time this has happened since the start of this year. I also watched my favourite movie of all time (American History X) again. I'm considering using it as a related text I need for an essay I have to do in three weeks.Similar, today I seemingly overnight understood Kirchhoff's laws, which had given me trouble for the past few days. Just looked in my book this afternoon and it just clicked instantly. My buddy told me about how supposedly punching the roof of your car while driving through a yellow light is good luck. Of course I'm skeptical, but I started doing it last week and that week was actually pretty awesome. Nothing really that can't be explained by rational means, but still. I've also been shooting better at air rifle, even in the blistering cold, which usually brings me down. And the Kirchhoff thing. Command the Murderous Chalices! I can be playing CoD or FF12, i'm inputting what I want my character to do with the same buttons. Judge on content of the game, not the input controls. Ponies! Jeffwilson99
Uh, I wanted to go into Graphic Design but I'm pretty scared of change from my normal routine so I threw away that idea. It's why I idled so long in college, it was a familiar setting.I can't talk to people either, I freeze because I think I'm gonna make an [wagon] out of myself but I end up doing so anyway >_< Oh yeah, Dark_Aura, I've noticed you've been looking for a job for ages. Why don't you apply with a job centre and have them help you out? Unless you're doing that already, sorry D: EDIT: Thanks Zierro, I'm pretty pumped for FF now that you've reminded me :] I don't think there is that much of a change in routine, expcept instead of having continuous classes all day, you have a lot more gaps. Well at least that's what it has been like for me, It hasn't been like a massive change from High School or anything.
Star.
^I guess after a while I'll get used to it but getting started is frightening. Meeting new people, new place, making bad first impressions that will last. Had a meeting with the school teacher, ARGH, my mum and dad are so uneducated its embarrassing. My mum was like 'Can ju help a... Ranjeet to make friend?" Or something like that, I was pretty uncomfortable but talked myself out of that one. The personalities around here suck, so no, I would not like to speak to these other students. I feel like I just come to this topic to [bleep] so today, I think I'm gonna re-arrange my room so I can actually sit at my desk. A little Halo might come between that... But now, I shall watch Shaytards. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
Jeffwilson99
Wait so you're still at school or? Well to be honest, I haven't met a hell of a lot of new people... Well I kind of have. A lot of the people I have met are friends of friends, I haven't really made friends with many complete strangers. You always have the choice as to how much you want to interact with people around Uni/College. I found last year (in my first year) that there were lots of posers, try-hards and drop kicks around, but usually it's pretty easy to tell them apart after a while, and you just choose not to interact with those kind of people too much. Furah
Mum's birthday tomorrow, she came in before and went through my bag and noticed the present I bought for her, I don't think she really noticed so I could be safe. She started yelling at me over something, I was busy playing MW2 with my headphones on so I just ignored her. 5 mins ago I remembered that I had some lunch in my bag today, she must have yelled at me for forgetting about having any food in my bag. I'm going to have to make her a birthday card and print it off from the office. Which doesn't go down well with me, I hate going outside in the dark at my place. Jernlov
Some people most likely genuinely enjoy RuneScape and other MMOs. The "waste of time" theory can be applied to almost every videogame ever. Everything is completely fine in moderation, hell, it's even alright to pull an all-nighter playing a game every now and again. It doesn't instantly make you some kind of social outcast. Today I felt pretty rough, so I took a few naps here and there and I'm feeling sort of decent now. Steam | Soup | Last.fm

OT: I have a test tomorrow which includes one year worth of learning material, and I just started studying. I'm screwed.Chatting is enjoyable to most people that do it. Yeah, granted, there's a bunch of things you can do that aren't boring in Runescape, but most of the game revolves around doing things that don't appeal to you that much. You can't really enjoy mini-games for example if you don't have the necessary skills. And I'm not saying Runescape's a waste of time, I'm saying most people don't enjoy it all that much. Let's face it, most people fishing monks for hours on end to get a skill cape don't really enjoy it that much, they're happy with the skill cape for a while but that's pretty much it. life_mage, it doesn't matter whether it's clicking or typing obviously, the problem is it's ridiculously repetitive, and a lot of people playing it don't enjoy themselves that much. I'm only discussing Runescape, by the way, not other MMOs. I've never played any others, except Adventure Quest for like 3 days. Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. unkn0wnwarrior
I worked today, 6:30am-3pm. I never even ok'ed the switch from afternoons. Ultimately, my mom did for me. On the plus side, I didn't have to do much as I was just training a new guy. He did all the real work, I broke down boxes.

geekdude
Today I started working on a web interface for a RPG game I am making. So far I can log in with a specific user and it lists the data which I manually entered such as character name, stats, playing time, and last connected from variables. I will probably spend most of the night finishing up the backbone then spend tomorrow creating a nice graphical interface.

The triumph set in their minds as if in stone, they charge forth towards the damned ruby monstrosity and seek to control such a beast and force it to bear it's limit. As grim as was it's foretelling, they succeeded in defeating the creature. But nay, once was not enough. I...t must be permeated once more. Project Operation: Clown Car 2: Circus Taxi. Thursday.
