It's gonna get 95-110F this week, apparently. My new AC and I laugh at nature's attempts at wearing us down.

I've become obsessed with Ludo. The band, not the boardgame. Although the boardgame is pretty great.

 

They're way too catchy for their own good.

Today, I wrote an essay about the properties of water and how they contribute to life on earth in ten minutes (I had 23 to do it in), and therefore finished up my AP Bio homework. I have 3 more pages of Calc to do, and have to finish Lord of the Flies and read 3 inches thick of 8.5x11 extra material for English 11 (to test out).

 

I also made up a table detailing the D&D effects of BrickForge's special trans and GITD weaponry. I am quite proud of it.

 

And SOMEONE spilled some junk on the keyboard (which is a niceish wireless one, that even matches the monitor, mouse, and computer) and now the Tab, Q, and right Control keys are sticking. :evil:

 

Oh and yesterday I spent an hour looking for my family crest and could not find it. But I found ones for my mom's and grandmother's maiden names.

We can't figure out the problem. We think it's the motherboard.

Today I went to the gym, then walked around downtown. 50 MPH winds, and there was dust/sand flying everywhere... my eyes hurt.

Fixed it! We just unplugged everything, and plugged it all back in, and it worked.

Agh, just found out that my parents are planning for us to go to India 10th August for three weeks. I hope they don't follow through :pray:

I hate my family in India, all they do is make fun of me because I'm not as skinny as my brother or sister and sleep in in the mornings. Going to try and lose as much weight as I can just incase we go.

And no internet access. :c Lol hope my parents don't plan on leaving me there :\

 

The weather is very... drab today. BBC weather says it's going to rain heavily for the next couple of days. The downside of having sunny weather :c

It's probably the hottest day ever here. According to the news yesterday was the warmest day in 76 years and today it's 3°C warmer

 

25°C is already quite hot in Finland and now it's almost 34°C here <_<

I was trying to install Team Fortress 2 overnight, went into standby at 66% =.=

I'm not 100% sure, but you could check the power saving options (from the control panel).

And my friend had a mini-seizure in my room yesterday, no joke.

 

We were talking about Dell power supplies and how much they suck, and he started staring at my closet saying, "I don't....I don't know...give me a second....I don't know"

 

Then he upchucked a little, and then he fell back and hit his head against the wall. He kept saying, "See....see....see....."

 

My mom came in and took over from there since she's a medical professional. And she says she thinks it was a seizure, since he has a history of them.

Damn!

Anyways on the stand by question there's two ways:

 

Go to the screen saver option (not sure how to get there since i have vista, but it's ultimately the same thing) and where it says time to go to screen saver select the screen saver "[none]". Then, go to power settings, click on high performance (and for my vista at least) hit customize and you should see two columns. One for when it's plugged in, one for when its not. (I have a laptop mind you) and one of the rows is "standby mode" just select from the drop down box "Never." And thats it.

 

I took a shift for my friend, so I work 10-7 today. Only 8 hours, not bad. But today is my day off :(
