Hey, for those 45-55 weapons... how about granite? DOI!!! Anyway you dont feel like paying for members so stop complaining

 

Give me one good reason why you deserve to gain members only content when you don't pay and have been leeching off a free version of the game.

 

 

 

 

 

Some of us that are disappointed in the f2p aspect of pking are also members...like me.

sorry but my opion is that you don't deserve dragon weapons(or even better weapons then rune)

Quite frankly, F2P is luck to get the PvP update. But I suppose it is an incentive to join members to reap even greater benefits. If that is the case, why would dragon weapons be made to F2P when they add an incentive to join (despite how bad some of them are)? Obviously the corrupted weapons are a preview into members and they show how membership could benefit a player.

Never use the two words "f2p" and "deserve" in the same sentence... Iv been mostly f2p since 2003 (only became member for 1 month)... so this is ocmign from a fellow f2per. We deserve nothing.

Freeplay may not deserve Dragon weapons, but it isn't like Members really appreciates them, either. I've said it since Splitbark armor came out -- give freeplay what we don't use, and create a demand for it. -.-

IAll in all, I think Jagex took a great game and turned it into a game with all sorts of limitations...but maybe i'm just bitter

 

 

 

Its not Jagex's fault. It's the idoits cheaters that ruin the fun for everyone. I remember the days of rsc when there were very few limitations. Then people started cheating with their gay world switchers which made Jagex give us a 30+ sec wait to log in. Then the RWT era. The list goes on and on. I do not blame Jagex, I blame us.

Good point. I kind of like it. As long as they only make it to where f2per can only buy the item and not obtain it in any other way. Not just splitbark, but any other item that is considered outdated.

Who cares if we don't appreciate them? As for that matter, where are you pulling this assumption from that members don't appreciate dragon weapons? I certainly appreciate my dragon scimitar, goes very well in combination with a rune defender for training strength. F2P don't deserve to get things that fall down the P2P ladder when new equipment comes out, in fact F2P don't deserve anything full stop.

Jagex opened Pandora's box giving f2p degraded dragon items... next thing they will want is degraded barrows...

The combination of the 30 minute rule and no spec will limit these items market. Thats the problem.

 

 

 

Items that don't produce more than they are worth will not be used much. There are many examples.

 

 

 

But I agree in that the corrupted weapons were a bonus.

But I guess the problem come in when...lets say you kill someone in full rune...and what is your drop? 2 pieces of rune?

I can definitely foresee that the supply of armour...even in p2p..will be depleting more than being created. I guess it is something like construction where the game just swallows your gp.

It's the "who cares if we don't appreciate it" attitude that makes me feel the way I feel.

 

 

 

Many of the things that Dragon weapons have done have been replaced (read: usurped) by Whips, the Saradomin Sword, and all other manners of higher-order weapons. On top of that, it's very hard (if not impossible) to find someone with full Dragon, fighting someone else.

 

 

 

I also said that Freeplay doesn't deserve it, but you haven't refuted the point that Members really appreciates these things. All Dragon is used for now is just a shiny status symbol.

Jagex took away Wilderness style pk-ing from Runescape, both P2P and F2P. Now Jagex has given it back, again, to both P2P and F2P. I don't see why we suddenly need dragon weapons/armor. Mind you, I'd like to see dragon weapons/armor obtainable in F2P, but I don't think that we need it.

Any f2per that can swing 100k+ for 15 minutes of use deserves the 15 minutes. The absurd cost will keep it out of newbie's hands and the 15 minute taste of power for experienced players might get otherwise stingy people to buy members.

I dont think F2P'ers deserve the luxury of dragon. Theres a reason people pay $7 a month, and thats for quallity. I myself am pure F2P and i feel the game is good enough as is, seeing as its free. Beggers cant be choosers!

I just couldn't keep my fingers away from my keyboard this time, I agree with all you said except that last sentence "Beggers cant be choosers!" You probably don't mean every single F2p player but it still bugs me and I had to post, F2p is not full of beggars.

 

 

 

Also, it's funny seing how P2p players are arguing wether F2p should or should not get or if we deserve or not, Dragon weapons/armour and most (if not all) F2p'ers that have posted have said that we don't need/want them. :mrgreen:

 

 

 

Of course making some Member items F2p could help both sides, espcially some TT items.

 

But Dragon Items are just so good looking for the newbie that just found RuneScape and not so hard to obtain or wield/wear unlike the GWD, Barrows, Third Age etc. For the more experienced F2p player it wouldn't matter much if he/she got to use Dragon items, it would just make training/Pking easier/more fun but I don't think it would make them get members which is Jagex's goal. As long as Jagex doesn't take anything away from F2p, I won't complain.

tip: never use the word "deserve" and "f2p" in the same sewntence unless there is a "dont" in the middle of them.

 

 

 

f2p'ers deserve notheing you have not given anything to help runescape. if all of the members quit then do you think f2p'ers would"deserve" something, no. why? because there would be nothing to saticfy the "deserving" with. f2p is basicly a bunch of freeloading, even though i plan on going f2p for a month or 2, it is purely for the simpleness of it, i am a bit overwelmed at school and socialy atm so i want a simpler happy place.

 

 

 

f2p do nothing to better the runescape comunity...there has been 0 updates paid for by f2p...

 

 

 

and dont even say add, with hd you dont even have to look at them at all anymore.
