the thing i notice though, is 'computer adress' not ip, as java runs through your computer, wonder if it can get hold of your computer adress, and if they ban through that, its much harder to get around that ban. But it's probably just their way of saying ip ban.

 

 

 

 

 

Uhm catching somebodies real MAC address isn't the easiest thing: it's by default not possible in JAVA when you run a program from within a sandbox (the sandbox being firefox). And with routers MAC addresses can be cloned/faked and modified. (though it's not recommended and can lead to crashes).

 

 

 

Only thing I'm aware off that really can be static is the processor identifier: and that's only possible to be retrieved with assembly. Don't think anyone at Jagex' headquarters knows ASM enough to use it in a commercial program.

Instead of going through all the code and finding out what was causing the game to crash when somebody typed in "µ" - They just made that symbol appear as nothing.

but µ (I heard it's the µ character) isn't even a "uncommon" character.. Some weeks ago I tried to explain some physical problem (ok I admit it wasn't much), but een there I tried to use the µ character. I noticed it was simply "removed" from my line (annoying....).

 

 

 

And what to think about greek people? They use that character all the time!

 

 

 

Is it? Oh [cabbage]. µ is right next to my enter button.
