Clay_More12
Outfits, there are many people who try to make one, and most likely, they will horribly fail and it will look bad. But what is the use of an outfit, and why would you have an oufit? People are even asking other people for outfit advice, and are willing to spent a big chunk of money on it, money that they could use for better armour, weapons, skills and other things that are actually useful. And when you say that it is a waste of time thinking of an outfit, and a waste of money buying an outfit, you get called a person that has no friends. Which makes no sense by the way. So, there is no use for an outfit. Or is there? People want to look cool so that they can get respect, respect in an online game. Most people don't even care about how you look, because when you wear a skillcape, you get "Wow, nice 99 [skill]", you get that multiple times a day (at least, with a respected skillcape). But how many time do you get "Wow, nice outfit"? Almost never. People don't care about your outfit, they are too busy playing the game to notice your fancy clothing. I'll tell you my "outfit" and it's uses: I wear a spottier cape, boots of lightness, an amulet of glory and a ring of duelling. That's it. I don't care how it looks, but it's cheap and very, very useful. Why would I get anything that is more expensive, and less useful? This makes it able to teleport to many places, and I can run longer than most people. So what is your opinion on oufits? That is true, wearing a outfit for nothing is pretty lame, you might aswell get a 99 which is useful Divine Forces | #DF on irc.seersirc.net | Most Motivated | http://rs-df.com/forums
Lady_Shahdie
I enjoy the combination I've chosen for my outfit because of the individuality it gives my character. How distinguishable can one be in a full rune or similar armors covered from head to toe? So in the case of my Saradomin, I accessorized a little and left the helmet off (to leave a space for the air tiara I possessed since noobdom ), slipped on some mime gloves, put on the santa suit galoshes, wielded my trusty pickaxe in my right arm, and of course draped my 99 cape on my back. Why did I bother doing any of that you may ask? I did it so when I am busy skilling, I don't have to look at an avatar that is the exact replica of everyone else. Whether that "individual" look is considered fashionable or otherwise is not really my concern ;) . ~Retired 13-July-2010~Thanks for the great memories folks :). Kaida23
... I saw this guy who was a Tim the Enchanter doppelganger... Lolz. I'm actually watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail right now! Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually... Erichermit
I'm going to be looking at my character for a while, I like him to look cool. I'm one of the people who enjoys roleplaying while I play runescape (gasp! I know.) and I like my outfit to look comfortable and cool so I usually go with some kind of robe combination. That probably sounds weird but oh well lol. I also try to look humble. I don't try and load my outfit with ridiculously expensive stuff because I want to seem approachable and friendly, as well as I don't want people in rs making friends with me because they think I'm rich. However I do like my outfit to be a little unique and stand out, so that I can be remembered and recognized by people. I'm currently torn on my decision, I wear full elidinis robes, ice gloves, boots of lightness, and a cat training medal with a fishing cape. The helmet is up to some dispute by me though. I used to wear a moonclan hat everywhere and was pretty happy with that, but I also noticed that the Seers 3 Headband looks pretty cool with it and the 1000 Kill Light-Light-Blue chompy hat also matches very well. The seers 3 and the chompy hat both show accomplishments of mine, which is good, but the chompy hat looks kind of strange in chathead. Do you hate Wyverns or Warped Terrorbirds? Think again! Racheya
Most of the time I'll stick to either naked clothes (blue long sleeved top and blue long skirt) or my favorite green Runecrafter outfit. Without the gloves though since they're a waste of tokens. Most of the time I'll be carrying my Dragon Axe too but thats usually it :) I don't like to wear armour since it puts your weight up so I like my runecrafter outfit It is very pretteh I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. SixFootOne
I wear my outfits all the time, it's what drives me. I feel a sense of accomplishment when i finish one. For me it's not even about how people see me, i enjoy looking good for myself. I could log onto an empty world and i would still try to dress my best. Jimmyw3000
I see the point of outfits: FUN Still, I hate wearing any outfits that weigh more than 0kg cos it's just not practical and in f2p there isnt much choice. Add to the fact that i'm a poor nub who cant afford the decent stuff.
Asmodeous4
Because I like how my char looks in them or because it is the optimum setup for what I am doing. I like to wear my yellow RCing robes when not in combat because to me they look good. I wear full rune because it's the best armor to wear in F2P for combat, same goes for draghide. Guthix Rune (my ongoing goal) is a mix of the two, it looks epic (I love green) and it also has one of the best F2P defence stats along with Zammy and Guth. It has nothing to do with real life, I just want to look good in the game. Hit me up on LastFM to see my music taste and chat :)
PuppyKing
I wear my green boater while skilling for two reasons: 1 I find it good luck, and it matches my shirt. 2 I don`t remember ever seeing anyone else in runescape wearing a green boater, so I feel like an individual. :) Blog. Obtaurian
I wear my green boater while skilling for two reasons: 1 I find it good luck, and it matches my shirt. 2 I don`t remember ever seeing anyone else in runescape wearing a green boater, so I feel like an individual. :) Yeah but you're a noob, noob. I like practicality when it counts and showing off when practicality doesn't matter. I'm usually wearing boots of lightness, spottier cape, glory, etc. When I'm just standing in a bank, I usually wear fire cape/quest cape, falador shield 3, and boots of lightness. If I'm standing in a bank I'm probably stringing amulets, so I'll also have a mudstaff. I also tend to forgo the spottier cape for a quest cape on farming runs, just because I like it so much. I would never, ever wear anything but a fire cape on a Slayer task. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Knitewulf
I like having outfits. I use a very distinct outfit and i'm sure anyone who has seen it could tell you im the only one they've seen wearing it. I just dress up like that because it offers me bonus's when skilling like the Varrock Armor, Explorers Ring and Fally shield. 61,358th to 99 range on May 23rd, 2010.100,927th to 99 def on February 13th, 2011. BiJay
Hey, it's just a game. All the things you do are pointless. It only matters if you statisfied with it. So if you feel better wearing a nice outfit go for it. If you want to level out a skill go for it. If you want to have fun by killing others in pvp go for it. I don't really see a discussion value here. It's like dicussing music genres... qft :ohnoes: There clearly is discussion value, as there are different opinions on outfits. Oh look, people with different opinions can discuss it. I think it's more like tastes than opinions. [404] Signature not found.

Mirror
I used to be known for a certain outfit, but I slowly stopped caring. I didn't have the effort to change into it whenever I went to do something, so I just wear whatever I am doing/need to do to those places. If I have time to dress up, sure, I'll slip the outfit on for good ole times. I really don't care what others think, it's for my personal benefit, which is to remember back on all the good times I had with the outfit. I am very memory orienated. Maybe that's why I am a pack rat when it comes to my things. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.
