sadukar123
Last night I was thinking the same thing. I had all these plans that I wanted to do pretty much to make myself a better pker(getting 99 mage would be a start)...however I knew I needed cash to fuel such an expensive hobby. Then all of a sudden I asked myself "why am I doing this?"... The pk system sucks...I should quit.. but what am I going to do when I get home? WoW? Porn? xlippsx
I'm glad to hear people agree with me. I'm not some RS hater who played this game too much for a year and then went to WoW because of all the shiny graphics. I've played RS for a very long time, on and off. I was around even during classic, and even if there was a point since then that I ever stopped playing the game for a few months, I still hung out in the community and kept up with the direction of the game. It was always great, its just that sometimes I got bored of it and waited awhile for some new things to come around. But this time is different. Glitched, awful, infrequent updates have driven me to indefinite retirement from RS. If the game ever gets back to the place where it used to be, I will come back in a heartbeat. I'm not some troll trying to create havoc and just be a negative nancy on RS fan sites. I am a long time diehard fan of the game who is sitting aside and waiting for this game to be good again. The MA update actually looks pretty cool, and the junk trader thing is an awesome idea...it just completely sours my opinion though when I hear of yet another devastating glitch, and innocent players trying to have fun being dumped on by the Jagex staff. Runescape:Go in a wide-eyed adolescent and come out a jaded, cynical individual. Well [bleep]ing said, both of you. I could not agree more. Rsdude099
It seems like Jagex isnt trying hard enough on these updates. MA should have came out squeeky clean, considering the fact they spent 7 months past the deadline "ironing" out these issues. And we have many bugs that came with it, which include this item loss glitch and the ability to play siege, hoard, rescue are not available because of some damn bug that they didnt iron out before they released it. This is one of the few times I am not happy with Jagex or Mod MMG or any of them. Pretty much done with rs now

Many perfer the sword fighting type thing, so if they are trying that, terrible marketing strategy. (I'll be out at the store buying WoW before I quit Rs for Ms.) Still though, they need something done about their "Quality" assurance. the trick is to balance all of these methods to get 99 and either play real life or train another skill while farming. 635th to 99 Farming 12/16/

I'm not saying it's entirely the players fault, but it's hard to deny that it was somewhat their fault. As a real-life comparison, no one walks into dark alley ways at night with all their money in cash inside their wallet/s. If someone got robbed in real life in that position I wouldn't sympathetic, it's just stupid. Why this player had 350M in his invent is beyond me. It's just stupid. Sure, we SHOULD be safe, but Jagex are only human, and completely bug-proofing a game is simply not a possible feat. We ain't living in a perfect world. You just have to deal with it. Meh, I am sick of hearing about this 'would you walk around in rl with lots of money in your wallet down an alley of a night' argument. You say 'no-one', what was the 6billion odd people like when you asked everyone? This is a game, the makers of the game are than infact the robbers. Fitting to your comparison Ok, it's not as if 350mill was his whole cash pile, was like 1/4th if not a higher ratio. Kind of like if your cash pile was 20mill, and you had 5 mill on you. Doesn't sound so horrific to have 1/4 of your cash pile out does it? I'm not having a go at you, sorry if it sounded that way. I am just disgusted at the way Jagex are doing there buiness these days and the way people (more so; RSOF) crawl to there feet like there god, to me, there a disgrace. Michaael
350M is a lot of cash regardless of how much he has total, and again, it was unneeded at the time he lost it. If Bill Gates carried 1/4 of his money into a dark alley and was robbed, I'm sure he would be pretty upset. Either way, the player shouldn't of had his cash on him, that's stupid and unneeded. Jagex should have never let a bug like that happen, but again if the player hadn't had his cash unnecessarily on him it wouldn't have happened -.- The question I ask: How could the player have prevented this? 5,693rd to 99 Slayer on 10/08/2009

By not playing Runescape. Sure, he didn't have a reason to be carrying 350m, but it was a safe zone, and he didn't need to worry about what he had on him. Does this mean that someone should never wear their blue partyhat anywhere other than the GE? Also, where is the smart place to have expensive items on the day of an update? When they update it seems like sometimes completely unrelated areas of the game glitch up. If he was making a trade at a bank somewhere, and instead of withdrawing what was "needed" withdrew a random huge stack of cash, and then some glitch happened that caused him to lose that whole pile, would you still be down his throat for doing something unneccessary? Plus, its not necessary to go to the mini game in the first place. It isn't necessary to play Runescape at all. All these things are what the player decides to do or wants to do....for whatever reason...he wanted 350m cash on him. And he lost it in an area that has nearly no DESIGNED risk.
