December 1, 200817 yr Thanks...I'll definitely add Firefly to the queue. I own Rome and really enjoyed it...also Carnivale which was pretty good. Also have entire Six Feet Under (tho my wife was into it more than I). Another I've been thinking of is Deadwood...heard it was good, anyone recommend it?

December 2, 200817 yr Author the blu-ray version of Firefly contains extra episodes of the series, Indy. Have you seen those? The Blu-ray version contains a cast reunion extra as well as a commentary for one of the episodes that the DVD didn't have. The extra episodes that are advertised are the three that were never shown on air, but they are on the DVD version. This is what I glean from amazon reviews at least. As soon as I read your post I almost had a heart attack thinking I missed some episodes :) . haha, sorry. I didn't know they were already on the DVD version. It's been ages since I've looked at the back of my DVD version. The blu-ray said Eclusive Blu-ray features, so I thought the extra episodes were blu-ray only. December 2, 200817 yr indy, should i watch the miniseries first before watching the first season or what (BSG)? Yep, mini-series first. Also the Razor movie should be watched after season 3, even though chronologically it takes place during season 2.

December 3, 200817 yr Author Fanfan la Tulipe When I first saw this movie coming up in the criterion announcements I knew this was a movie for me. One of the little movies that are a bit outside the field of the usual criterion movies. It is such a well made movie, every single shot or camera movement has got a meaning and does something for the film. This made me enjoy this movie so much already, but there's also the great (sexual) jokes, the good looking women, the great action. I really loved it. It's a shame that they didn't shoot it in color though, Technicolor would've made it even better. Recommended, especially for the fans of the classic swashbuckler. December 6, 200817 yr Just saw 21. I thought that there was something missing throughout the film. Not sure what, but then again I'm really tired typing this and I'll probally remember what it was at some point. 7/10 Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

Not sure what, but then again I'm really tired typing this and I'll probally remember what it was at some point. 7/10 It's like a teenage (ok early-tweens) version of Ocean's series. Except it doesn't have the swagger the Ocean's has. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

December 10, 200817 yr Deliverance.Seemed pretty cool, pretty old too(it is,1974?).Thought it was interesting how John Voight looked, the progression was pretty good for the time,I guess.Special effects too. so i herd u liek devarts? If you look at me and feel offended by my 666-ism,think.I could be just as offended by your "cross".[hide=This's why I'm hot]The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".Amen, brother :lol:Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)amen Bruder! December 10, 200817 yr The Mist. I read the book before watching the movie and the ending really surprised me, in my opinion the movie's ending is better than the book's. I really like the way the made the aliens (or whatever they are) look, too. Pretty good movie :D

December 11, 200817 yr Author I've seen a couple of movies today, three to be precies. Phenomena Which was a pretty good Argento, too bad that all the heavy metal music didn't really fit in. Anna, quel particolare piacere Italian gangster movie, it's kind of strange. It's hard to judge, it's really something I've never seen before. The highlight of my day was something else...It was Samuel Fuller's White Dog And it makes you think why movies like Crash are being hailed so much. That sentimental crap doesn't do anything. It just fires things at you. This movie is very clear, it gives you something to think about because Fuller decides to leave things out and go to the root of the evil. You wonder why such a good movie like this has been banned for such a long time. It's great that criterion finally brought back this controversial movie. Highly recommended! December 13, 200817 yr I used my little brother and sister as an excuse to go watch Bolt. It was awesome. The Mist. I read the book before watching the movie and the ending really surprised me, in my opinion the movie's ending is better than the book's. I really like the way the made the aliens (or whatever they are) look, too. Pretty good movie :D They did that with The Secret Window as well, give a different ending than the book. It was really interesting to compare the two.
December 13, 200817 yr Author Living, Sorbet 3, Bedsitters, Audition. I pulled my Zwartjes DVD out of the shelves again, and it's a succes every time I see his films. They are perfect on the technical, my mouth drops open every time I see Living. Strange, ugly, sexy, scary are some words that come to mind after watching his movies, but above all they are really beautifull. Those interested in experimental cinema should really see his film.
