Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog - This is great.

Here is the official website. You can watch it for free on there, but I highly recommend buying it ($10). Commentary! The Musical is almost as good as the actual show.

EDIT: So I watched it, then Commentary! The Musical, then with the actual commentary, then watched the making of features. So I kind of watched it four times today, and I had watched it online 4 or 5 times since July when it came out. Still love it.

Borat and half of Dune.

Dune was pretty good, stayed really close to the book for the most part. Pretty epicish.

Borat made me pee myself.

The 1984 version of Dune? If so I think you and me are the only two people in the world who like it.

Aye. Sting as Feyd and everything. I think it's because of how closely it follows the book that people don't enjoy it as much. It had incredible effects for the eighties, although one thing I really disliked was the shields. Nothing like I felt they were put across - seemed to me as if they looked more like a heat shimmer.

The Baron was [bleep]ing creepy as hell.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Cinema Paradiso

I loved this film. A movie about movies and how it influences other people. This was the directors cut. Wasn't cut more like extended version. Highly recommend. If you're into action films this movie is not for you. If you like a really good story. Watch this movie.

If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

Transsiberian

- Was one of those random movies at Blockbuster that you don't go to rent, but it looks good so you try it anyways.

Very good movie, quite thrilling and suspenseful at moments... kind of reminded me of some Hitchcock movies.

Great cast too (Woody Harrelson - one of his best performance IMO, Ben Kingsley, Eduardo Noriega, etc)

Valkyrie, or proper, Walküre, and it was awesome!! Not as built-up as the trailer suggested, but still awesome. It broke the typical movie theme now-a-days by focusing on plot and story over action. The use of German was also nicely done, so as to not deviate entirely towards English.

This is the last movie I watched as well (bro got it for Christmas) and I honestly didn't think it was that bad. Well, I haven't seen the old Indiana Jones movies in forever, so my basis of comparison is a bit fuzzy, but still. The whole concept of aliens was a bit odd and not something you would expect from the kind of movie it is, but come on it was an unexplored avenue. How many other legends and ancient temples were there to exploit? National Treasure took some of the options.

Technically the last movie I watched was Cloverfield, just a few minutes ago, but I saw it in theaters. Man I forgot how awesome it is.

I just saw Valkyrie and enjoyed it. I've been so pumped for The Spirit though. It's really disappointing to hear how bad it turned out to be. For people who saw it: I know it's campy and not so well written, but would you completely advise against seeing it?
