February 21, 200917 yr Broken Flowers was pretty good. I'm really beginning to enjoy the semi-awkward dialogue that isn't always perfectly wity or timing. I happily recommend it, plus it's on Hulu if you don't feel like tracking it down somehow else. Beer

February 22, 200917 yr Trainspotting - Crazy drug movie. Directing was brilliant. Just a good movie overall. 9/10 If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
February 22, 200917 yr The Golden Compass. Was pretty meh. The thing that pissed me off the most was the cutoff of the ending. It came out of nowhere and was just generally lame.

February 22, 200917 yr Author Daan, how come no Oscars thread this year Gee, I forgot making one. Stupid. I'm going to Amsterdam in an hour or so to watch all kinds of Oscar nominated movies (that I haven't seen yet) so I don't have time to make on today. :( Maybe somebody else can take over the stick for this year? : Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

February 23, 200917 yr The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Now there's 3 hours of my life that I want back. Oh Cate Blanchett, why must you do like 3 crappy films for every good one you're in? How I wish I had gone to see Slumdog Millionaire instead.

February 26, 200917 yr Begotten. I was reading before on another forum at the film section and read about it, and decided to see it. I don't like horror movies in general, just some whacko running around with a knife killing a couple of dudes. But this! It was produced in a way to make it look old, and it's in only black&white. To some extent it reminded me of the original Nosferatu film. I am really fascinated by this film, there's no dialogs, it looks like it's from the late 19th centuary, weird background noices. Watched in the middle of the night, perfect time. J'adore aussi le sexe et les snuff moviesJe trouve que ce sont des purs moments de vieJe ne me reconnais plus dans les gensJe suis juste un cas désespérantEt comme personne ne viendra me réclamerJe terminerai comme un objet retrouvé
February 26, 200917 yr Author Deadly Weapons Great experimental trash. Recommended for the adventurous moviegoer. Madame X Another good one. Sirkian melodrama made by somebody else than Sirk, but the rest of the crew is related to Sirk movies (sets, music etc), and you can clearly see that. Lana Turner is very good here, she's really going for it in this ridiculous story. Also there is a nice Dutch contribution in this movie...John van Dreelen as Christan the Determined ( ) he's got some great lines such as "I'm a very Oriental Dane". Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
February 28, 200917 yr National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets and National Lampoon's European Vacation. National Treasure was so-so, NL was okay. Liked National Lampoon's Vacation better though.

My mom made me watch a movie with her. We watched some sort of a romantic comedy type thing. How to lose friends and alienate people. But it had the guy from shawn of the dead in it. So it owned.
March 1, 200917 yr A Series Of Unfortunate Events. For the second time, actually. =] Techy is a noop, but we wub him! ^_^

March 1, 200917 yr The Cable Guy Underated IMO We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way. Please don't elect this man for president in 2012
March 1, 200917 yr Slumdogs - didn't like it at all. I really enjoyed it, but mostly because of the directing / cinematography. Those things really made up for the... other things it lacked. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
