Xensure
Mini update: Elias is still powering through construction, he is up to 132m. He has Thieving maxed though, so it will be interesting to see if he stops soon to leave room for effigies from slayer. Tg, one of the soon to be top15, is closing in on 200m crafting. Tezz is almost 100m firemaking and posting some big gains in Dungeon. Suomi posted a huge 1.4m slayer day, about 500k from 100m strength. Telmo is going all out of Hunter, just got 31m. Skiller703 is still working on 200m fletching, 6.8m away, He is also still hunting effigies. Dapledo, after getting 279xp from 100m cons, he moved on to thieving to get another skill over 70m, which seems to a goal of his.
Sockieo
Elias will stop somewhere around 150m construction. Then go back onto slayer. Telmo will stick to 200m hunter once he can adjust to his new mouse.
Amethyst_Gem
I think the skills that have gone the longest before the best method changed are mining (granite), runecrafting (zmi), fishing (barb before cut/eat was discovered), slaying (slaying) and thieving (pyramid plunder)Construction? Hasn't really changed since the day it came out tbh :P Zombie implings are definitely faster for the average player, though I've never looked into whether traditional methods might be equivalent or faster for super-players like the top 15 ;). Have fun opening 1.5million zombie jars (or buying them in the first place for that matter lol) and THEN running about 100k bones to the guy in dorgeshkaan to get construction xp at around 30gp/xp. Personally I'm sticking to the traditional methods. :P

Squisher_33
jagex has never said that they wont raise skills to 120, in fact its only a matter of time before they have to the actual quote multiple times has been "we currently have no plans on raising skills to 120" this doesnt mean it cant happen in the future

Alphanos
Would the brackish blade be the best alternative to the rapier for monsters weak to stab? No. For stabbing weapons, the order's something like Chaotic Rapier > Korasi's Sword > Zamorakian Spear > Brackish Blade (unless I've left out anything important). All of them are the same speed. Assuming each of the one-handed weapons is used with a Dragon Defender, you get the following stats: Chaotic Rapier: +119 Stab, +107 StrengthKorasi's Sword: +85 Stab, +76 StrengthZamorakian Spear: +85 Stab, +75 StrengthBrackish Blade: +92 Stab, +72 Strength Very close match there between Korasi and the spear. The only reason I could even possibly see for using the Brackish Blade is if you need a stab weapon, you don't have a rapier, and it's super-important to you not to train on a controlled setting. haimonek
It's still faster than other methods:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwxM-lAcsG0&feature=feedu^ According to that it's still around 120k after the nerf, if you play concetrated.(You may have to go to youtube itself to read the description.) But if you were trying to get some fish levels, I suggest do it now, before Jagex nerfs it even more.

First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Amethyst_Gem
I guess this nerf was bound to happen. Is there any benefit to fishing in there now? It's still the best fishing xp if you don't want the strength xp that heavy rod fishing gives. Though for the purposes of this thread, not really no. Whatever they'll probably nerf is again so all spots give 50% less xp than before and it'll probably be 80k max.
Thai_tong
Barb cut/eat is still much better than c2 because of the other skill xp. C2 needs to be 162k/hr for it to be better than barb. But C2 rushing is better than C1 rushing for people who are training dung.
Try
only half the fishing spots are "nerfed" (though I think THAT is the bug, every spot SHOULD be nerfed). "On complexity levels 2-5, there is a chance that you will receive 50% less XP for mining, fishing, woodcutting, farming or thieving certain resources (the majority of resources in a dungeon will give you full XP). These resources are placed in lower complexity dungeons so that you can get used to how the skill works before moving on to higher complexities; as such, we did not intend them to be power-trained on for XP, and we have lowered their XP rates accordingly." http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/dungeoneering_faq
