Andy
3bo. Binding things because the "pros" do it. Gold star in the cc thinks a spear is a good bind. Yeah sorry 3bo isn't a pro clan at all. "spear isnt that bad" from a gold star. dg level =/= actual knowledge of the skill
Saradomin_Mage
It was a bad floor, but come on, not even we are this bad :PDoesn't show, but Bent had like 6 to 9 deaths that floor (I lost count) In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. Wisky_is_Goo
I'd love to start learning to pro DG and such, i've got 62 Dg through tears and other things. Upgraded my zerker ring as much as possible with the few tokens ive got. I'm still a bit intimidated by some of these 100+ pro keyers, etc. Any tips as to how to soften the learning curve when i actually start trying to be good lol? I've read this entire thread page by page and picked up alot, but is there anything i can do outside of DGS to help curb this fear? EDIT: I think this bit of anxiety comes from my lack of experience actually being inside a dungeon.
Obtaurian
YET ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT! WHEN DOES IT END?! So the primal pick thing kinda-sorta worked, but it's definitely random and possibly a little condescending. After much prodding from Sir Izenhime (whom I love anyway) and some brainstorming we've come up with something that makes a lot more sense and actually serves a purpose outside of culling RSOFers from the chat: DUNGEONEERING TRIVIA! It essentially works the same way - mods in the clan chat will ask newcomers what that week's trivia is, and if they don't know it, they get kicked. Previously we were having people give us proper answers to our sarcastic question, and it just . . . didn't look good, nor did it really help much. The added benefit to this is that you guys and gals get to learn something you might not have known every week. Hopefully this appeals to everyone. We'll keep a running list of trivia in a thread on Grimy's forum in case anyone would like to read through it in the future. You can find the weekly trivia in the first post of this thread. Here's what it looks like, along with this week's trivia: [spoiler=-Weekly Trivia:] This section is simultaneously meant to educate and provide a way for moderators in the clan chat to check if newcomers have read the guidelines. When asked by a moderator you must respond with a short summary of the weekly trivia; failure to do so will result in an immediate kick from the clan chat. You may respond with past trivia, if applicable, though it is discouraged. Week of: Monday, April 18th, 2011. Hope Devourer (level 101 dungeoneering boss) will target any players not using the protect from melee prayer. If every player is using protect from melee, Hope will switch at random. Thus, one player (the blocker) can stand between Hope and the rest of the team and pray melee, forcing Hope to target the mages behind the blocker. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. It was an abandoned floor. 17 minutes. I had no idea what was going on the entire time. I basically ran around at random trying to be helpful (but failing) and ggsing when told. It's a lot to take in at first, but you get used to it quickly. Can't wait to see you in the clan chat. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. Zaaps1
If you want people only who are tip.itters: why can't you simply check if they're registered here on the forums or not? Recently, due to the clans highscores, there have been an influx of RSOF'ers who neither care nor are willing to learn how to be better at dg, and are far more willing just to get in and get out of a fast floor. DGS has a firm stance against people who are unwilling to learn, or those who are only joining for an extremely short period of time (for example, people who are only staying until they have a rapier, then getting out, which also many RSOF'ers are). While it's a bit of a corny move, doing stuff like this helps us identify those people who do not contribute anything to DGS and kick them from the CC. ~It's Super Effective! If there is someone who genuinely wants to learn and get better but has only visited tif maybe once, there should be no problems. First to 99 Farming on 27. There is no short supply of bad or lazy dgers, we want people willing to learn and grow to become great dungeoneer-ers.

Saradomin_Mage
Would it perform better, though? Kimberly
Just some feedback from a person on the outside: I was reading your guidelines and although they're well written, it seems like they're a bit...out of order? By this I don't mean things are missing, it just would've helped my comprehension if things like chat rules and what the clan chat was about were together, and level reqs and bind reqs grouped together. I don't know if they're purposely split up like that to encourage people to read the entire guidelines though...so if they are, then nevermind <_< I'm a bit off of what I need on my binds/ring levels before I can properly join so hopefully I'll have a chance get them soon. My dg'ing has essentially grinded to a halt since I lost my last team.
Codguy
Last night I had a dream that I was keying a floor (since I was DGing right before going to bed, so it was fresh in my mind). Let's just say I was doing better in the dream than I usually do, up until we ran out of GDs to do. And then my dream took the five of us to some mountain or something. That was just weird.
