Pete Party
I would say London because Europe gamers have so few of these that every one is a blessing. Each convention held here is a victory and possibly an eye opener for other companies that it would be a good idea to have other conventions here.Europe counts 400-500 million people so I guess there are a few gamers among us. America though, people travel with ease there, here traveling to another country is a pain. I think mostly because of language. I don't really want to get really any deeper into the subject. I would say America because they have lots of these that most of them are familiar with it and are not scared to go to a convention. And people in America are willing to travel larger distances for something they like. I think they will get a bigger crowd. Me and the wise old man go way back.... he was a foolish boy back then. Quyneax
I voted London because I like the city best (not that I've been to the USA, but I like really old buildings). I'm not going to go to RuneFest wherever it is, so in that regard it doesn't matter. I don't know how popular RuneFest is as general con rather than one just for hardcore scapers (I'm guessing not at all) but it it were popular enough it might be nice to have a spring con in NY and an autumn con in London or whatever. Monky
Really? No Australia? you suck Jagex. The US is bad enough. Why would anyone want to fly 40 hours to go from one small, dinky island to one giant, dinky island? :P You call us "dinky" when the funniest part is... we may be a smaller country but, we're an older and maturer country. We created the things your country is founded upon.British game's convention = Britain, dont care where, they should have had more options for it... but london will do if it has to be there again! You lost me at "maturer"... Besides, they were calling both islands dinky. It's a joke. Just like the typical nationalist, starting an argument about your country where there wasn't one in the first place. Kaida23
In all fairness, a large portion of the player base is from North America. Unless they listed a city from every country that has it's own server, they were going to make some people unhappy with their choices. Although, RuneFest in Rio would be pretty awesome. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually... That isn't mentioning the huge amount of Europeans that don't speak English or the other languages that Runescape is available in. After a certain point, the location is irrelevant weather it be in London or America, it's still implausable for some to travel to either. By the way, 3/4 of the poll options are in the USA. Is Jagex hinting at something? Pinata
I could be totally off, but US players might even be on par with the continent of Europe. Seeing as LA isn't going to win, I'd rather have it in London. If I'm going to fly to New York, I'd rather pay maybe an extra 500-1000$, to be on an entire different continent. Only problem with this years Runefest was that it was literally in the middle of fall quarter, so hopefully they do it in August or a Summer month. Anyone think there will be an age limit, because would suck if the limit was 21, rather than 18. 12pure34
3 American cities vs. 1 European city. When I went to look at the options, I expected to see something like: BerlinParisLondonNew York I'd pretty much decided that they are going American, but personally I'd favor them sticking to their European roots. But economics say: more money in U.S. with these events. It's clear where they are growing towards. Would personally love to see Geographic statistics.
