@Tempest: That's because players at level 138 carried 30+ brews (20k+ health) whereas Nex simply had 30k health to start with (iirc) - almost equal in strength, right? That's why constitution level is no longer taken into account. Players would have 24.75 levels from hp, Nex would have 750. If you apply that correction, it's 113 vs. 251 combat, which is really not that far off. Now the same holds for equipment versus levels. The new ratio is much more useful than the old (though still not as good as it could be).

I got this loot from 24 crystal keys:

The total value is 850k (and while I didn't notice that, someone said that you get 15k when you get a key part, so you can add 30k to the value).

 

According to both my loot and the 100 key loot on the previous page, it seems like the chance of getting charms is 1/3, and you always get 5 crimsons and 5 blues. 5 crimsons + 5 blues should be about 5-6k summoning xp, which means 1.7-2k summoning xp per key. That means you would need about 7-7.5k keys for 1-99 summoning. You should be able to open at least 500 chests an hour - probably 1k+ if you only care about charms.

 

This is by far the fastest way to get charms now - 15 hours maximum for enough charms from level 1 to level 99 (not counting the golds and greens you need to get through the early levels of course). I have a feeling that either the keys will be extremely expensive (I'd say 75k+) or Jagex will nerf this soon.

Its called giving hard up members a way to make a quick buck at the expense of a F2Per who wants something better than rune. As much as this sounds like a rip on F2Pers its a good game mechanic to help drive the market a bit, but nothing completely game changing. Honestly just expect to see this as something new in the give and take market-share between F2Pers and P2Pers.

Sorry for not knowing the lower level game of the top of my head, but what you expressed was an opinion. Were you a lower levelled player, then I'd entirely understand. As you are not, then I cannot comprehend you having an extensive knowledge over what is good/isn't good at the lower levels. Furthermore, its F2P. When did you last play as a low levelled F2Per? No need to get huffy >.>

@Tans: So you don't know either, but you 'correct' my post on the assumption that you know better than I do? You could at least provide a proper counter-argument, rather than discounting my estimate a priori because I'm 'too high-levelled'.

 

I'll put the case clearly: It's better to use tier 50 normal armour than tier 50 hybrid armour anywhere in F2P, if you are killing anything that is worth killing (no obscure things that are useless here).

Not yet, but assuming they might eventually. Maybe some of the F2P player base wants a bit more padding. Asking that question is like saying does a P2Per have any use for port armour or nex armour. They'll get used how anyone who desires sees fit.

The Dragonstone armor has lower stats than Rune/Blue D'hide/Batwing. I won't be using it for anything, I'm F2P.

Warbands did need a change but I think this was a bit much. Having it synchronized across all worlds every 7 hours really sucks for those whose schedules don't permit it.

On another note, I'm bloodfire barraging Bandos right now with soulsplit, and healing still isn't really a problem, if you do need to heal the food drops cover it. Obviously a bit less exp than it was before but still not too bad.

From about 45 mins of kills, I think Zilyana has definitely gotten harder, need food more often than desired. Gear superior SS, dw virtus, ovl, etc. ice + bloodfire. with a bit of lag.

 

Glacors are slightly slower (so less xp =[ ), with void, dw virtus, ovl, etc., getting only around 100 kph on average for the past 2 hrs - whilst glacytes are still weak, the damage difference by bloodfire barrage is noticeable (target gets hit ~600, others ~3-400). Healing is still not an issue at all.

The only possible use I could think of for t50 hyrbid armor is F2P warring. Oh wait, clans are mostly in OSRS now. :P Even the warring that is done is normally P2P

Since it will warbands more difficult to achieve success in gaining the XP I think it qualifies as a buff to warbands.

If you have lvl 40-50 you should be able to get lvl t50 gear.

The bit I don't understand yet is the part about killing for the resources. I assume what they collected will drop & then I have to decide if those supplies are what I'm looking for. if I pick up by mistake, will that count as part of my 75 daily allowance even if i re-drop & don't hand in?

Are you saying barrage went from 1500+ hits to ~600 hits, or is the ratio roughly 3:2 for primary target damage to secondary target damage?
