Not far from Bowl now. Got all upgrades and 8k+ cherrywood already. Having fun, that's all I guess. Just shame I won't be anywhere among the first to get armour. I was hoping to make some bucks out of the PoP. :sad:

I think it will be profitable for a while..

I have the opportunity (hah!) to unlock "opportunist" as a trait for one of my captains. According to the wiki this trait gives "Better returns from partial mission success"... what does this mean? Does it mean you can fail a mission but still bring home some resources?

I didn't think that getting a 3rd ship would allow me to complete all my Scythe region voyages each day; I'm in sheer shock at it! Can't wait to get to the Bowl region now! :D

Enjoy it while it lasts, once you hit the bowl you will never do all your voyages for the highest region ever again :P

I'm at 16% and gaining 5-10% a day or so. There's still people 5-10% ahead of me, so let's not be too cautious and assume 8-12 more days?

I have one captain with this trait, but I haven't consciously done any follow-up on its effect. Up until now, when a mission failed, I always ended up empty-handed. I haven't checked consistenty if the opportunist captain was aboard those ships.

I'm not sure the exact percentage but it does exactly what it says. If you fail a mission you still come back with some loot just not ALL of it.

That's great news. I just sent out my 10k morale captain on a 76% chance mission for the Awe-inspiring trait and one of the crew members has Opportunist.

Yeah, that's why I asked. I'm only about 70% done with the Scythe so I've still got a few more days until I reach the bowl.

 

Surely Woox must be around the halfway mark in the Bowl by now?

^ i'm 1 scroll ahead of vampyrism scrimshaw, keep failing scrolls for 3 days now >.< (Got all ancient bones already).

 

But dunno if you ment that with 'armor'.

Judging by the RSOF there are people close to making the helmets.

Anyone else think the Death Lotus armor on npcs is horribly ugly and looks like it's from 2006 (the helmet in particular)? I hope the version we get looks better...

Seen 1 or 2 melee helms maybe the same but 0 others. Pretty sure theres more going around already since they only require 20? 30? goods each to make.

what are the reqs for each piece? how many materials?
