So the occultist is suicidal and the missionary kills people who don't buy into his dogma? Some pretty adult themes going on here lol

Sounds rather historical to me...

I believe trade good rates will go up as we get to new areas, which is why I'm not bothering doing any of those missions. Scrolls I will do if they are within reach, but I still prefer the resource voyages, because I need resources to buy crew.

This. Right now the focus of pop should be on two things: resources and upgrades. There's no point on getting all scrolls and building a workshop, when you can't even complete missions for a single plate/lacquer/chi... I've been focusing on replacing skull crew for hook crew and so far missions have been doing MUCH BETTER, enough to keep a steady rate of 9/10 including special voyages... Besides, there are upgrades that increase the chance of getting scroll missions, so I would wait to that point to actually focus on them.

The difficult voyages, even with bad trade good rewards, cover good distance... I'd rather send them out than skip them entirely. But I agree about the workshop and scrolls, they're quite useless. By the time you have 100+ of any one trade good, a workshop will be so cheap, and scroll missions a matter of routine.

The stories do unfold in interesting ways.

The Occultist is only trying to get herself killed as she is immortal after being commissioned to do research on it by Quin. Quin wnats to be immortal and the occultist wants to keep this power from dangerous hands hence trying to kill herself; but you step in to suggest there must be a way to get rid of the immortality and so sets out to do this.

The occultist wants 3 body parts, the head, the body and blood or something. Already got the head and the body I guess not entirely sure tho.

She's making a flesh atronach. Inb4 last area is the Shivering Isles.

I don't know much about occultism, but the missionary should be called the crusader that's for sure.

From the empty days of hope, deny the darkness
Follow my voice, we'll run far away from here

If only to hide, to escape this life
And live forever, forever in the sun

Got a second 10k morale mission, for 10 spice :wall:. Well, good incentive to buy some more Blazing Lantern crew (sorry Jayc).

Goddamn, I'm basically eating my own words right now. This was a ridiculous scale, fml.

Three starting voyages today were:

5.5k morale and seafare

5.5k morale and combat

10k seafare

Granted, they were all for 300 slate each, but still, incredibly difficult voyages to start the day off. :<

Getting slightly disappointed that there isn't much of any reward until the end. nevertheless ill persevere.

I can see why they did it though, and I'm glad they did. If the content was front loaded there would be no effort involved in getting the rewards and no point in exploring all the islands.

They could have given you even rewards throughout the minigame, though. As it is, the only rewards are at the end of a process that takes months.

I don't mind the reward being at the end. It is a mentality that I developed playing WoW. It rewards dedication.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

Assuming there are at least two nations in the Eastern Lands, we should assume a divide and conquer strategy. We should form an alliance with the weakest nation, provoke them into attacking a bigger nation, and arm them to the teeth using level 90 Smithers. Those with 90 Construction can be sent to work on militarily fortifications. When the greater power eventually achieves a phyric victory over our allied weaker nation, we should be able to crush them with superior economic and military force, and take over the Eastern Lands.

...I've played far too much Civilization for a 22-year-old.
