The portents are actually quite nice, specially the attuned ones.

 

And the sign of porter is simply great to make mining/fishing more afk

 

Since their nerf with Mining Juju potions, mining actually got less afk.

I didn't say porters were bad, I said that mining got less afk because jujus got worse...

Less afk than jujus + porters.. But the porters are better than juju potions, so it's more afk than it was before the update, right?

Except that you might end up losing cash due to the cost of making the porters, and the expected rise in diamonds.

 

But it would still be better XP, and you can always just drop the ores

Ok so I got something on my mind. I'm about to hit 80 divination and know how to get to the level. 80 area via the BIS fairy code. So I figured that would be the best way there. But what about doing chronicle runs? Is there a stackable tele that would take me close to a fairy ring? I was thinking Varrock tabs, but even that's a bit annoying.

Tokkul-Zo is pretty much always the fastest way to a faerie ring. If you don't have that yet, then I think the fastest free way is home port to Edgeville and run east across the bridge, then south. Alternatively, set your Varrock teleport point to the GE and use teletabs, or you could teleport with runes or duel ring to MA and take the spirit tree to the GE.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

Pretty much how I feel about porters. They're too expensive to feasibly use when you could just sell the energies and have just ended up being used to get rid of items.

 

I'd like them more if they banked things like general slayer drops, store bought stuff, and a toggle on what they port.

The price thing is why I'm going for the ruby necklace porters. The price difference for 25 vs 30 makes me stick to ruby.

I think porters will be quite good in the end; I can't see them upping the value of the secondary too much because they aren't going to made in huuuuuggggge numbers and the value of energy is only coming down as the rush for 99 dies down in each tier, not to mention its not even that slow to get large amounts of energy, especially if you turn in memories for energy

I thought it was as simple as you can only create and take from one divine location once per day. There is a resource cap?

I thought it was as simple as you can only create and take from one divine location once per day. There is a resource cap?

Yep, thanks for that. What we're trying to figure out though is the maximum number of resources a player can help himself to per day. All we know at the moment is that it's based on your skill total. You can only create and deploy one location per day, but you can help yourself from as many as you want (until you get capped).

I will make a Divination Spot later tonight after work and report how many resources on what number and on wich Skill total level.

 

Maybe you guys want to do this with me maybe we can make something out of this.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

I really don't think this skill is half as bad as a lot of people are saying. I mean, think about our other gathering skills: Wc, mining, fishing, hunting -- runecrafting was the only original one, and that was awful when it first came out.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15
