Heh I don't even think 100 each is that high. People usually seem to sell for 110-150 each, and if they're selling a lot at one time, I don't mind paying a little extra.

i tend to think of a critical hit to be somewhat random, so it would be different than a special attack. you could also view the max possible hit of a weapon to be a critical hit, seeing as though you don't hit the maximum amount every time. so nje03, would your proposed critical hit be higher than the current maximums? maybe i have just misinterpreted you. :-k
