  1. You must use a normal hammer.
  2. Looks ok. Super confusing at first though. Broke a mithril sword and got 0 xp. Got 98% on a mithril sword and got 9448 xp. Got 94% on a mithril sword and got 4266 xp. Broke an addy sword and got 0 xp. Got 88% on an addy sword and got 5020 xp. Got 76% on an addy sword and got 4353 xp. Got 74% on an addy sword and got 4329 xp. Also [hide=W99 Cannons] [/hide]
  3. You get exp for hitting the 20.
  4. Just to add a little extra info. Just glancing at the GE 30 day charts for approximate pricing I see that superheating mith and steel are 75 gp loss per and iron is 125 loss per cast. Though, if you time your buying/selling right you can come out even / profit though this only works if you have enough GP to continually superheat even if prices aren't favourable for a couple weeks at a time. If you get good at it, superheating is faster exp/h then alching as said by RSWiki: For day to day prices you can also see: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Superheat Alching looks to be around 50-100 gp loss per cast for most F2P items as you can see here http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Alchemy/Guide
  5. The speed of telly/alch is not affected by mousekeys as they are at a set speed. 3 game ticks for superheat and 5 for high alch if i remember correctly (1 game tick = .6s). The only difference is the fact that you have to move your hand without mousekeys. So it is your choice. Move mouse manually and get 90-95 smithing, or mousekeys for easy alching but no extra rewards. Also, 3600seconds / 3 seconds per alch = 1200 alches per hour * 65 exp per alch = 78000 exp per hour = 167 hours from 55 to 99 at max alch speed. Adding time to get 55 and 'inefficiencies' like talking etc and you're looking pretty much at 200h like what Quyneax said.
  6. im only 1 smithing on the char so i cant really do super heating or else i would >.> Knights Sword quest gives you like 30 free levels.
  7. That sounds wonderfull. I know in the past that Tipit often had interviews / history articles with top players but they haven't for some time and I miss it. I still remember when they had one with Zezima and remember thinking 'he's a pretty cool guy, its nice that he's on top. He deserves it'. So yes, please enlighten us about your past, present and future!
  8. If you can make deaths, fire staff. If you can't blastbox. That way at least you know you'll have 125 casts or air blasts.
  9. Do roach soldiers not have relativly higher defence? I don't know if they're 'worth' killing but back when I tried them they had half decent drops with alright exp rates. And with their weakness to stab, the +50 from the Grappier would probably be better then the +7 of the rune scim.
  10. If time is really no issue, then I'd say go for herb cleaning. Usually profits quite well and with mousekeys it can be done at a good pace. For a mix of speed and cost, I usually train with prayer pots. They're typically near to the best gp/exp ratio while also being very easy to sell in mass quantities. With a scroll of cleaning, you should make your own (unf)s to save 10% of the costs. Also, for further savings, make the (unfs) in this next week and then make (unf) -> potion durring the bonus exp weekend. Over the 10 hours before the multiplier levels off it averages to I think 1.7x bonus. But with less then 10h of herby training that bonus could much better. So if you don't have anything better to do this week, I'd say; Buy grimy ranarr -> clean -> make into (unfs) -> buy snape grass then durring the weekend make the pots. Usually pots crash durring the BXP weekend because everyone's making them, but if you hold your pots for a little while prices usually hop back up fairly quickly, especially with prayer pots. For information on pretty much all herb related prices, see http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-spreadsheets/
  11. I would say, sell off all of your items, then put an offer in the GE for a santa / green h'ween. It's just as good as keeping it in pure cash, but in the event of a panic dump you may have a chance at a rare. Since rares are bound to go up in the long run, I'd say picking one up would be a good idea even if a crash would be the only way you'd get one. Worst case - you have the same GP when you come back Best case - you have a rare that will likely go up
  12. It's unfortunate that you can't report people for scamming when they aren't scamming? He means that it's unfortunate that you can't report someone for intending to scam. It's always better to catch someone before they take a victim but Jagex doesn't see it that way.
  13. My friend said she was skilling and instantly died. She's kinda newbie and I haven't heard anyone else talk about this about this so IDK if it's true, but I banked all my valuables just in case....
  14. I'd say get 80/80/80 first, then decide where you want to go from that.
  15. Oh dear, another person who feels the need to say this at the end of a post...if it has discussion value, it will be discussed. And oddly, simply adding 'f2p' doesn't make this thread any different then the other thread about this.
  16. Back years ago I did plenty of mining on Crandor. I don't know if it's popular now, but back then there was no one ever moning there except for the occasional addy miner. It's a pretty good place for DIY miner/smithers if you use superheat.
  17. "doubling money" is reportable "trust game" is not. Doubling money is not reportable. Well, it is reportable but only if the scam is successful. Essentially, you can't report someone for scamming unless they actually DO scam. You're not even supposed to report someone for armour trimming unless they actually steal your armour <_<
  18. Well, pures generally are not just 1 skill, just 1 type of skill. Combat pures are for PKing where hitting high generally matters more then preventing hits (because of how weak defence is in combat), so combat pures avoid defence so they can stay lower combat while still hitting high. Skiller pures train all skills that don't raise combat. Pretty much, some poeple only like combat or don't like combat so they gear their character around that.
  19. Well, thank you very much. This thread can die if no one else has any other tips.
  20. Is there a safespot or do I need to pray melle?
  21. It's what Runewiki said. I guess I should have tried it out first but I trust it enough seeing as it's an old article so most info should be good. Where should I kill black demons? I used to kill in the Edge dungeon but I'm scared of PKers.
  22. Okay, so as of right now I am 89 range (220k from 90). My goal is 90 because I like to keep my stats even 5's and 10's. The problem is that I'm too close to a HP level to use normal methods, so I'll be cannoning. I was planning on doing abby specs so I went down to stealing creation to see if I had some spare points and bought sc coifs for 90. 2 minutes later I realized that I'm an idiot. You need nosepeg for addy specs so I can't use my coifs on them. So my question is; What NPC should I cannon for 220k exp with my sc coifs?
  23. Are you sure? pretty sure I'v done 6 straight hours tonight lol, or when I do pest control. The game kicks you after 6 hours of not logging out at all. All you have to do is log out then in and it resets.
  24. From what I understand, your idea is pretty close to what Jagex already does. As of now, reporting for macroing flags the account to the bot detection system. If the system detects botting, then the account goes to a J-Mod for a human input. The J-Mod makes the final decision. Jagex's bot detection system works fine* as it is ONLY when players go out and report suspected bots. I don't know exactly how Jagex detects them, but I highly doubt they take a proactive approach and scan accounts that are online. That seems like it would take far too many resources. What Jagex really needs to do is remove the 1 report per minute restriction for the botting rule. That way the people who want to report bots have the means to do it in a reasonable amount of time. Seriously, just try going to the ess mines and try to report each bot, one per minute....good luck with that. *I mean fine as in, getting the majority of offenders with low numbers of false positives. There is ALWAYS room for improvement even before being 'good' let alone 'great'.
  25. Nex now drops her unique items far more often  Let the panic begin
