Another point is that if your two discs WERE exactly the same and you were going to set up RAID 0 you'd have to move all your data anyway - you would have to populate the discs from scratch otherwise they wouldn't be striped.

Muting it in there seems to only mute its output through the speakers, it doesn't affect it in VOIP etc. For example, my mic is muted in volume control but I can still use ventrilo with it. Try it.

You don't need RAID. RAID would not help you. You would run into problems if you were trying to use striping and the two discs weren't the same as each other. There's a way of changing the user folder to another drive, but I can't remember how. If you can find the environment variables settings in windows then it should be there.
