  1. How many of those wanting a new skill actually HAVE a maxed skills account (2277 total)? Enough said. Just to not be a killjoy, how about skills that make sense to be introduced into Runescape such as one to make mage armour? Come on Jagex, they've been waiting for years now... Rangers can use tanned skins with crafting and warriors always had smithing yet mages were always forced to either find or buy their armour, excluding the rune cost since this was heavily reduced thanks to Runecrafting (very needed). Tailoring, weaving, spellcraft... Call it whatever you want you know it makes sense to be added.
  2. Sometimes people take insults as compliments and vice versa. It's such a twisted world we live in...
  3. There is time for work, as there is time for play. Going from one extreme to another won't change anything.
  4. Everyone's too busy saying their class is nerfed or pick on a developer-destroyed class (which was ironically my favourite) which never will have a good reputation to complain about the servers being down for DAYS. :shame:
  5. Omg, I hate Jagex for doing needed network maintenance and stuff! Sorry, couldn't resist. Jagex-hate topics seem to be the craze nowadays. :-k

What a stupid post, Take some one with a 2100+ skill total like s1acker or zezima, then take 100,000 people with a skill total under 500, try find one of those 100,000 people who has more in game knowlege then the higher lvl.. Saying that skill total does not indicate game knowlege is [developmentally delayed]. Lvls = game experience, game experience is gained through playing the game, whilst playing the game you pick up knowlege. Sure you can read the kb all day every day, that doesnt mean your going to be able to solo gwd at lvl 70 or go get a fire cape first try. Sick of all this [cabbage] saying lvls mean nothing, as much as you pollitically correct wannabies would like to think otherwise LVLS DO INDICATE GAME KNOWLEGE. And it takes a certain ammount of intelligence to be able to properly plan and map out your skills to max them all out in the fastest most efficient ways possible. Just try and say otherwise.. It depends: Jack and Jill both have 99 fishing. Jack trained from level 1 to 99 just fishing shrimp, Jill scaled her training methods with her levels, eventually fishing monkfish and sharks towards the 99 level limit. Which one of them has more game knowledge?
  7. I wasn't. You're talking about people who prejudice other players for fitting the "noob" genre, although they are themselves. From a long time high-level player viewpoint, helping some people never helps the problem which is why the majority of higher-level players tend to generalise and snob out the weaker players, hence the saying "Give a man an inch and he'll take a mile." fits the scenario. Don't just consider the lower-level player's viewpoint here. Have you any idea how many times I've been pestered, taunted, mocked and whatever else during four years of being over level 90? More times than the clicks the highest level fletcher had to do to make yew longbows till now. Players don't come into the game like this. Also, since I don't tend to categorise people I'll just blame ourselves, the veterans, for not setting a good example to the new generation of high-level players which in turn will give a bad example to newbies, turning them from begging to scamming to worse.
  8. Hybrid dking cannot be done efficiently alone. You run out of potions if you have more than one king attacking you constantly. It probably can physically be done, but it's so horribly inefficient that there is no point. I was referring to the Fight Caves and the Tztok-Jad, though luck wasn't on my side during Dagannoth King fights. My point is, if Jagex want to incorporate a monster that HAS to be taken on as a group they'll need to force it to be so. They had it right with the Penance Queen but something more hazardous and defensive (as the GWD bosses should have been) with my other indirect suggestion (all protection prayers on unless attacked by at least two of them).
  9. Noobs have been in Runescape since it was open to the public. If the community has degraded it's not their fault.

This reminds me of yesterday when the bus driver charged me normal price for a one stage ticket where I usually get it cheaper. You just got unlucky there.
  11. If players can singlehandedly beat fifty waves of high level monsters followed by the strongest monster in the game I really doubt there will be a monster worthy of being taken on in a team... Unless it is virtually immune to any single attack and has to be attacked with all three attack styles to hurt him. :-k
  12. I died down there once back on classic around his level... Wait, that's not helping is it? I can only recommend to train on something easier until you can stay for a good hour down there. :P
  13. By hiring someone from a company whose CS is notoriously bad -- only they screw people over for real money instead of pretend gold? Runescape gold has some sort of value in its own right, so it's not "pretend money". The correct term to use is virtual currency. Anyway can anyone say, "Mod Iddison (level-126)"? =D>
  14. Forgot to say, it has dozens of references and inside jokes both from the old community and Jagex themselves. Paul himself labelled it RunEscape after going to the test run the wilderness on release and killing players while protected in the nature rune island. :P I'm still not sure if this should be coloured, but I will ink it so it looks less messy. I'm not so good with colouring.
  15. They already cancelled the 2003 Christmas drops because people were whining about the scythes (they missed it). Don't let it happen again.
  16. I didn't see a Runescape-related art forum so I figured... This is the first of a number of 4-panel silent comics based on an adventurer in his quest(s) for the top. It's a sketch, for the particular reason I wanted an opinion for the cute-yet-comical style this is drawn. I have a few reasons why it's done this way, mainly in part I began my Runescape adventure looong ago when we looked like kneeless Playmobil dolls and the game felt more funky. :-$
  17. I say they should scrap the voting. It always was a surprise and both sides could partake, so why change now?
  18. Deep down, Andrew is a human game designer too. People might and will say he just wants to do things for money, but more than once he has proven them wrong by giving a message to the players, when they finally shut up. The oldest recollection that's coming to mind is when people were whining they didn't get their scythes even when the single-day event was extended to a weekend. Infuriated, he declared he was not going to release anymore holiday drops (which he did put in action that Christmas) since players are too greedy by mistaking a nice gift for a valuable item and complain in excess when they missed a non-tradable one. This changed for Runescape 2, probably from a staff decision rather than his own.
  19. We've gotten quite the stereotype nowadays: Stuck up, arrogant, snobbish, avid, selfish... *keeps adding* Like they say, a pee drop in a swimming pool will get everyone out from it.
  20. Invisible oompa loompas follow everyone around carrying drawn-on cardboard Nickolodeon logo cutouts and flash them out when someone pretends to attack you. Considering the game is 13+, violence cannot be completely visualised nor would bleeding or the fast healing factor, cause deep down we are all Claire Bennet.
  21. If it makes you feel any better, I know people on classic who used to do the special guild quests as an achievement at the lowest levels possible. Unfortunately I was level 66 at the time I entered the Heroes Guild doors and 75 at the Legends Guild ones. I'm pretty sure Raenond was the lowest, at level 56. :-k
  22. House teleport tablets. There's no place like home... *taps slippers*
  23. This reminds me of something that happened yesterday in class: I was quietly doing stuff on the PC during a lecture while the guy next to me said, "So you play Runescape?". I was like, "How did you know? o_O;" and he was like "What's your level?"... The chat went on for a while. XD People join particular games for one main reason: Friends. It was friends that got me into Runescape in the first place and I get friends to play after they see me play it. It's gaining quite the popularity here. :-$
  24. Runescape Username: Zantetsudex Country: Malta
  25. SCREW THE NAME! A MONSTER THAT YOU COULD KILL WITHOUT HAVING IT AS A ASSINGMENT AND STILL GET SLAYER EXP.? tell me where it is plz Didn't he just say they were driven to extinction? Your plant probably takes a week to grow... *ahem*
