    Long hair

I have long hair, and I love it. Some men look great with long hair, some don't. But I don't think I could stand a man with longer hair than me . Also, it takes a lot of care. Unkempt long hair is really unsightly. That brazilian nut cream rocks, I use it too! Conditioners/shampoos with coconut milk are fab too. This stuff is great and it smells fantastic...
  2. Big Macs? Burrito? I pity you people . My last meal would consist of several courses: * Aperitif: Batida de Coco or a glass of Champagne * Cold pasta salad with prawns/mozarella/tomato with a glass of Pinot Gris or comparable white wine * Nicely done lamb (still red) with garlic & rosemary and high quality Belgian fries and French/Italian red wine (French: a St-Emillion from a good year of the 80's - Italian: a recent Chianti Classico - or a Torus wine) * White chocolate mousse with raspberry coulis and some fresh raspberries * Digestif: Amaretto with three of the best Belgian pralines Alternatively, I really enjoy cheese fondue with garlic and kirsch - but it doesn't really allow for several courses. The wine choices may not be the best with these particular foods, but I'm not at home in the world of wines. They are some of my favourites though. Oh and most importantly! I would insist on some good company. Even the best food tastes stale if eaten with bad company. But in all honesty, I don't think I would be able to eat a bite the night before my certain death...
  3. Cannons are only useful for slayers, in my opinion. The range xp is bad, no hp and a hefty cost. The only upside is the slayer xp at dagannoths/kalphites and even that xp is slightly overrated.
  4. I do understand their reasons now, thank you for posting this. Well, making seaweed drops noted is one good solution. Maybe adding the drops to a few more monsters would be nice. I can only think of dagannoth and molanisks that drop seaweed or an equivalent right now. Anybody know of other seaweed droppers?
  5. I do feel sorry for her and her children. It's bad enough getting into the mess she got herself in, without all the world watching, criticising, and lauging at you. The fans that made her, are now gloating over her ruin. I really do wonder what the hollywood life does to young teenagers. Look at Britney, Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Michael jackson and countless others. Then read the level-headed interviews of -say- the Harry Potter actors. I feel they might be getting better guidance from their entourages...
  6. On my first visit to NY, I happened to come across some place where they held an afterparty for the rich and famous after the MTV Awards. I watched for a bit amongst the celebrity watching crowd, kind of funny: the crowd would go all crazy over some famous American, and I'd stand there like "huh, who is that?" - to the disbelief of the screaming girls next to me. "Come on, don't you know, he's like totally famous - so hot - and like... oh my god [pitch rising - flapping of the hands], he just smiled at you, that is like so awesome!!! [blather blather]"
  7. Wrong. Education = knowledge = power Wrong. Most study because they crave knowledge. If money is your only motivation, you're going to have a rough few years at university... Wrong. Where I live, as in most of the Western world I believe, it's the higher educated people who can't find jobs. There's a shortage of people to perform technical (e.g. electricians) and menial work (e.g. builders). There are more non-profitable university trajects (languages, arts, psychology,...) than profitable ones (engineer, economics, law). I myself have been paid way below my grade for a few years.
  8. Ohh, depends really. The crude distinction beer/lowly and wine/higher classes is complete bollocks, of course. Red wine, preferably a chianti, with Italian food. White wine or ros̮̩̉̉ on a languid summer night. A fresh beer on a hot afternoon. A tasty fruit beer, preferably Kriek/P̮̻̉̉cheresse Lindemans, before going to bed. I never consume alcohol in big amounts and I've never been beyond tipsy, but enjoying a good glass of wine or beer with a tasty meal, that's just part of the good life.
  9. Frankly, I don't think that many Tip.It'ers have an income besides allowances or after-school jobs... As for myself, I'd rather not calculate my wages-per-second... as much as I need an income to pay the bills, I try not to think too much about the exact numbers. Simply working for money wouldn't be fulfilling for me.
  10. I don't mind randoms in general. I do mind being at iron dragons and having the scarce places in my inventory packed with grey boxes from the MOM. In the twenty minutes it takes to get them to non-agressive, you can pack up quite a bunch of those, I have noticed. I do mind getting teleported to a frog kingdom because the frog prince is too impatient to wait until I have ranged the dragon. I don't like losing expensive bolts because I have to identify a twin sister. NO MORE RANDOMS DURING COMBAT, please.
  11. These topics never end, do they. I still can't wrap my head around what the capes did to people's goals. Before the capes, going for a 99 was considered as something big. It never crossed my mind to actually go for a 99, then. Now, 99's are standard goals. One 99 isn't an achievement anymore, especially one of the lower kind... For me personally, the easiest 99 is fletching. I'm a big MTK user for tree seeds and I had all those maple logs in my bank sitting there. I hate merching, so I just decided to fletch them (no stringing) as they came in while reading a book or watching TV. Without actually having 99 as a real goal, it came soon enough all by itself. I now have enough maple logs for 99 firemaking, but since that needs a whole lot more attention, I don't see myself getting there any time soon.
  12. Even though I agree with RayOxide, it's no more than logical that the community happens to be immature. The game Runescape is most popular with 10-15 year olds. Hence, the forums about the game attract that kind of public. Not much to be done about it, and something the other users can only accept. Or start a board of their own with strict entry rules. As for Off-Topic, much as I love posting there, from time to time it derails into an in-crowd of people patting themselves on the back, pushing non-regulars out and telling each other how fabulous and awfully mature they are, while in fact, a rather big chunk of the discussions is very puerile for a twentysomething user like me. But, as I am a minority here, I accept that and don't participate in topics that don't interest me...

    Perfection

Yup, Plato's Cave of shadows. Perfection is a concept. We can visualise and think a perfect circle, but we can never draw it. Nothing new, really.
  14. Senior, huh? "Some cause happiness wherever they go, some whenever they go" (Oscar Wilde) would show a good deal of ability to laugh at yourself, which is kinda cool amonsgt a group of teenagers who think they're all grown up :).
  15. Been extremely busy, so I have only the one film to offer. Continuing my quest for classics, I watched Sunset Boulevard. Like every Wilder I've gotten my hands on so far, it was great. The combination of great writing skills, a subtle sense of humour and fabulous directing, make him one of the greatest. No question about it. My favourite quote from Sunset Blvd: "I am big. It's the pictures that got small."
  16. Between brown and yellow, I've always loved agility, slayer, thieving and farming the most...
  17. Definitely. This may be grounds for inappropriate, but learn how to "take care of yourself." Not that I want to discourage this course of action, but in high stress situations, the sexual drive drops spectacularly. Except on the brink of death, apparently. An eros-thanatos kind of thing... Even so, relief is only temporary and doesn't really take the stress away.
  18. Crap, I forgot today was Talk Like a Pirate Day! Yarr matey, I do be thinkin' that your hook still be lettin' ya wield your rapier or other weapon of choice. Yarrr! Aye, listen to me matey 'ere. Hooks do be going in ye glove spot. Umm, or something similar :).
  19. Filling in the train of thought: ... but fails miserably, since it's rather unconceivable that Avril Lavigne has enough sense for the more intellectual forms of humour. We've had a discussion about the awfulness of this song a few months ago, I believe.
  20. Why MSN? Seems a bit of a hassle with those invitations and the general messiness of chatting with many people at once in MSN... Am I totally not getting the point by preferring IRC?
  21. Quit whining. It's not like this altar could be called the Pyramid Plunder of RC. If you thought that Jagex were never going to have an update to raise the abysmal exp/hour rate of runecrafting a bit, you have been extremely naive. They can't afford to have a skill wasting away. If you want things to stay the way they were, play a game that is not updated. There are plenty.
  22. When you're all going rush-rush, it's important to keep the general picture in mind, if you don't want to feel like you're drowning. Is this situation going to last for a while or not? If not, you could try to sweat it out untill you can relax. If it will last a while, it's important to build in moments to "decompress", to let go of the stress for a bit. Take a walk, have a nap, do something fun,... I've heard that there are also specific excercises to do this, if you're having trouble relaxing. If it looks like there'll be no end to the stress in the foreseeable future, it's best to try and "attack" the root of the stress. Weed out the things that bring you stress and look for balance in your life. Nothing is worth a burn-out or your health...
  23. I easily cry when watching a film or a play. Happened to me yesterday, when watching a play (adaptation of the Roman tragedies by Shakespeare). The last time that I really really cried because of personal reasons was sometime in April-May, after my ex-of-one-year told me it hadn't been his intention to split up and that he honestly felt that I had initiated the break-up. Actually, he was right, and that realisation was quite painful. Not just because I lost a great man I shouldn't have lost, but especially realising I had fooled myself into believing it wasn't my doing but his, hit me hard.
  24. Wouldn't change much. Goldfarmers can easily pay the member's fee. You'd just generate more auto'ers in p2p because of the rising prices and I bet the crowd in f2p wouldn't slink that noticeably either.
