darkmage099
You of all people should know that staff often just up and leave. It must be WoW: it's the only possible reason why a staff-member would want to leave TIF. QFT! Look at The_Sith...hahaha. He probably posts on the WoW thread (he has it in his sig!) more than the actual RS boards. I suspect other mods (who left or are about to) have quit for the same reason. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

I haven't been active long, but I hope I've been a good enough member with a good enough application to get it. Only one way to find out. :D Cowards can't block Warriors. Do mods and admins of this site get hackers trying to get in through their computers or something? No but also yes, it's to be safe anyway, you need a secure computer, cause if you don't, you'll probably end up getting hacked within the month, which means damage can be done to Tip It if you get promoted. It's also quite normal that Staff Members are more targetted to get hacked then the average Runescape player. Some people dream of success, while others make it happen. Lionheart_0
Ahhh ok. I'm fairly safe. I do use antivirus/firewall/spyware searchers, but even then, I rarely get anything. I dont download anything or go to any sites that would give me that stuff. I pretty much keep to my home sites. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Redman4933
Only thing my computer gets is the odd Tracking Cookie or twenty. They don't pose much of a threat, and I always remove them. I hope this doesn't affect my application. Of course, since I am essentialy behind two firewalls, I am hacker-proof. \ Retired from RuneScape as of November 10th 2007. Do mods and admins of this site get hackers trying to get in through their computers or something? It's not just that we're targeted more, but also that if you get keylogged randomly, what will they do with the information. Perhaps a better way of thinking about it is if we had to choose between secure comps and unsecure, why would we want to take the chance on someone breaking into an account and deleting half the website for example. 571st to 99 Fm Nov. 4 '06 - 315th to 99 Crafting Mar. 3 '07 - 3410th to 99 Fishing Sept. 18 '0726378th to 99 Cooking Oct. 16 '07 -.- 99 Thieving Dec. 29 '07 - 1343rd to 99 Farming June 5 '081807th to 99 Agility Nov. 8 '08 - 3094th to 99 Smithing Feb. 14 '092012 total - 91 combat

tanjack23
I send mines in. I hope I get picked. I do find it to be rather fun to moderate stuff and make the forums a great place for everyone to enjoy. The only problem is, well...I'm sorta like a new forumer, but I do understand the rules quite well and I am more than happy to work around the tip.it community. I do feel like I could handle moderating the forums. :) Tanjack23Taking it the Smart Way!

hohto
It must be WoW: it's the only possible reason why a staff-member would want to leave TIF. Being part of the staff isn't only full of glory and glitter. It's not like you'd be in extacy every time you logged in. Leaving is part of the normal situation: nothing lasts forever and people have different reasons for leaving. Like I said, when I left after being a mod for around 3 years, I current lifesituation didn't give me enough spare time to work here and my motivation wasn't good enough to continue. However here I'd like to point out that even tho I've seen many staff members to leave their post, I haven't heard of a single situation where the reason for leaving was personal problems with other staff members. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
mrmyk
was asked to be a mod before but my old computer let me down :P I'll wait until i'm asked to be a mod again though as it seems kinda cheesy to apply to be one after all these years of saying people who ask to be mods will be ignored : Proud Retired Council of The GladiatiorzClick here for our website - 110+ F2P Combat Requirements
