Personally I'd say men can look great with long hair, better than they would with short hair - but that's rare, and in most cases it won't look good.

Long hair works great on guys as long as they're in shape. I've got a friend who looks like Fabio cuz of his long hair and women love it. My brother also has long hair, but he looks more like Tom Cruise from The Last Samurai and women love that too.

 

Long hair just ends up looking really nerdy if you're a skinny guy and don't know how to take care of it.

I'd say long hair looks good on bros if and only if they take care of it. It also very much depends on what crowd you run with. But unkept hair/unstyled hair as a whole looks shitty, short or long.

 

Moral of the story is make it look good - also, make sure it compliments your facial features (long hair doesn't usually look great with rounder faces, etc.).

So... After everything, stuff has kinda flipped the way most of you predicted.

 

On my birthday I was slightly out of it, and decided to give her a phonecall since she hadn't bothered saying Happy Birthday to me. When I did, I essentially had verbal diarrhea, and essentially told her how I felt about everything - which in hindsight I know is a stupid move... After an hour and a half she had to hang up because her fellow Red Cross person was waiting for her to come back. So I never got to hear her side to it...

 

Then last night, when Becca was drunk, she hid her relationship status on facebook and with the dutch courage gave her mobile number to a guy she'd been flirting with all night. The latter two bits don't really phase me, but the first part does. I'm not one to get too jealous really, hell, when Kie came and visited and we went out drinking and were in the Kings a guy hit on her and I think she was rather annoyed I didn't care more. I took it as a rather good compliment to my girlfriend and the fact that she wanted to still be with me even with temptation there.

 

And then she was chatting to our close mate Rob as usual, she said:

 

"What do you think Ian would say if I suggested not a "relationship" but more just having fun?"

 

But she's still not entirely 100% about what she wants to do or not do. She feels like she wants to have the freedom to be hit on and not care about consequences of going off with someone and sleeping with them. And she says she still cares for me a lot, and wants to keep me around.

 

So yeah... I've no idea what to do really, and if I'm honest I'm rather cut up about it. I didn't think it'd end this way frankly, I thought it was solvable. So what do I do? Constrictor, particularly asking you since you said you've been in this situation before, and essentially if we did the "just having fun" concept, which would more than likely result in [bleep]buddies, then we'd have the falling back in and out of love constantly you said.

 

Then again, all of this was done whilst she was drunk, and I more than likely imagine that I wont hear this off her for a little while, or until she's drunk again...

You're pretty jealous of her affection so I'm kind of surprised you're not freaking out about her wanting to play it fast and loose.

 

It should hopefully be pretty clear what you should do. You're a strong dude and you know what you want. If you want anything more than a fling at this point, this girl isn't for you. Easier said than done, but I think you should end it. You telling her its over, and why, is an important message that she probably needs to hear and I think you deserve the measure of self respect it could help you find.

If that's not what you are looking for don't take her assetry. And if you DO end things (which I kind of suggest) then she'll realize that she can't just [bleep] around with guys and get what she wants, that it bites back. Well not really. There's a difference between growing up without a mom; and growing up with both a mom and a dad, except that they just don't live together.

 

The conclusion of the thread seems to be that raising children where the mom and dad live separate from each other is superior to raising children where the mom and dad live together. But ultimately, the most important thing is that the child has a mother- and father-figure in their life... and ideally the mother and father figure aren't constantly bickering with each other or putting each other down in front of the children.

On the topic of hair length... Ive found that most girls find me more attractive when i have shorter hair. It's frustrating because i like my hair longer. My girlfriend however likes it when it's longer, which is a relief as i don't really want to change me appearance for them. Now, luckily, I don't have to :D but my point is that most girls I've met prefer a guy with shorter hair mostly because they find long hair to look messy and unkept. And yes, some girls can pull off shirt hair. Actually, I find girls with shorter hair more attractive. We used to have this girl on the news back in South Africa, the weather girl, who had really short hair. Kinda like a boys haircut in a private school. She really pulled it off. Looked amazing. My girlfriend also currently has shortish hair and i find it extremely hot.

 

In other news... Been spending a lot of time with my parents, obviously. Been easing them into the idea of me and my girlfriend, slowly. I guess I'm making some progress. Obviously I'm not expecting them to accept it over night. But we'll get there slowly. One of their big issues was that they thought she was only with me for money as she comes from a lower income family than I do by a big margin. My parents combines earn probably 8 times what her parents do. But my parents didnt realise that when we go out now she actually pays for things half the time. Since she started working she told me she wanted to pay for things too. Another issue they had is the fact that her father is a deadweight. He's not been working for over 3 years and had no desire to work. He relies on my gf and her mother to pay the bills and sometimes they struggle. My parents feared that one day I'd be left with the burden to support my girlfriend and her family. Me and my girlfriend both agreed that this would never happen. So that's another problem out of the way. Now I guess I only have to get them to accept her skin color, which probably won't be as easy.

 

Also, Thai girls are [bleep]ing hot. Seen some of the hottest girls here.
