Almost everyone probably knows the "Tetris effect"... well now I'm getting a "Bejeweled effect". Everytime I see colorful things in a grid I try to figure out a way to get three or more in a row. :lol:

Had a couple of class tutorials this morning, met some new people and had a laugh. :thumbup:

Tutorials are a complete waste of time. If attendance and in class quizzes weren't worth 25% of my final I would skip all of them. I honestly feel like killing myself when a TA tries desperately to explain something he can hardly grasp... good thing there's a hottie with a sexy raspy voice to keep me company for the two hours :thumbsup:

I kinda know what you mean. 2 out of my 3 tutorials last semester were a waste of time. They were mainly meant to give us an opportunity to ask questions about assignments and stuff but most of it was spent chatting/ arsing around. It was all pHd students taking them as well, they knew their stuff but weren't as "pushy" about getting stuff done as the lecturers and Profesors are.

There's practicals as well, which count towards our final mark. Prefer the tutorials though. :mellow:

I feel as if I am in third grade when I am in my college freshman Ecology class.

 

We went over the ozone today and afterwards, our professor asked use to write a THREE sentence summary of what we learned. After 15 minutes when two kids said they couldn't figure out what to write, she wrote three sentences and told us to copy them and call it even.

 

I was finished 10 seconds after she told us what to do. I said to myself "I pay over a thousand dollars and this is what I got?".

 

After class I talked with my professor and shared my views. She said that she was under a lot of stress because of personal matters and just wanted class to end a little quicker so she could go and deal with what was going on. She was even starting to tear up.

Back from a rather boring holiday at a caravan park. Got a job interview tomorrow, and my dad has to work tomorrow. My mum and 2 sisters are still there until Thursday.

 

Also it's Australia Day. [bleep] yeah Australia Day! Nearly finished my 3rd beer since getting home, been drinking slowly as I'm on the computer making up for my days away from it.

I get to work again today, I think the same job. Hopefully we'll run later than 7pm today though (I'm not done until 10:45pm). I also plan to play video games and maybe watch a movie when I get home.

Today is nice and sunny and I am going to walk to school so that I can register. :) I'm worried that I won't meet prerequisites for Chemistry because of my Achieved in carbon chemistry. *cringe* I don't even know if there are prerequisites, let's hope they will let me take Chemistry!!! :(

First day of my new semester today. It sucks to be honest. All my teachers are good, but I'm going to have so much homework every night.

Feels weird going from 12hours on the internet a day to maybe 1-2hours. Spent loads of time re-reading Harry Potter and watching Shaycarl videos on youtube though [last part doesn't count as internet'ing becaues my sister loads them up and I just happen to be there with a book in my hand.]

 

Have to stay up all night though so I can get some decent artwork in my sketchbook. I have to present my teacher with everything tomorrow and I kind of... don't have a lot. Whoops.

 

Oh yeah! Rock Band is awesome ;D My brother finally bought it [a couple of years too late LOL] and it's super fun. I can barely play on hard though, once that orange note comes up I get disorientated.

Today I finished my written exams, they were very tough, but it was expected. Third year chemistry degree ftw.

Now i'm relaxing and playing guitar.

Can't wait to get back in the lab next week.

The line I was working on today ran overtime, but I didn't get asked to stay late (thankfully, I would have had to stay if I did- junior qualified). I don't like that job enough to do it for more than 8 hours.

School tomorrow. Not looking forward to formals. :<

 

Hopefully it will continue to be cold and wet so I won't melt in my blazer.

4chan has some new boards up and so I went ... there was one for Science and Math called /sci/ and spent about 30 minutes there. Holy balls there are some intelligent people there.

 

What PhD students are doing there I have no clue, but they sure did know stuff.

I'm pretty annoyed. My mums boss who owes my sister $50 for cleaning regularly, and me $100 for delivery wine to his business partner (He is an orthodontist) isn't paying us. Blasphemy. BLASPHEMY I SAY!

Yeah, I know it's hard to believe.

 

But they weren't bsing' either ... I had a good read through and it all checked out. [Had to consult my textbook a few times but eh']

 

Note that I'm talking about subjects like Biology and Chemistry not simple calculus or algebra that everyone can do mindlessly, but things that actually need to be understood.

 

It was quite funny actually, most of it was just like homework help regarding algebra. And lots of cussing.

I get to work again today. Hopefully not the same thing as Monday, although the same as yesterday is fine. I hate not knowing where I'll be until I get there. It makes it very hard to call in sick to avoid working a job I can't stand!

Currently watching the release of the iPad. So far it looks like a larger and improved iTouch iPod Touch, nothing that impresses me yet. Though knowing Apple they've got to have some trick up their sleeve...
