Posted February 2, 2012 Share Posted February 2, 2012 I got a conditional offer from de Montfort university not too long ago \:D/ Honestly thought I wouldn't get any offers because of my stupid ass teacher who may have ruined my chances so I was so surprised and felt blessed. Only problem is that my date of birth on my GCSE certificate is completely wrong because my parents registered it wrong when I went into high school. Will I get away with that or should I try and fix it (if it can be done)?I've never had anyone look at my GCSE certificates before so I dunno :unsure:Wat, not even when you went to the university to enroll onto your chosen course? I'd still say though, that on the average, its probably easier to commit rape if your male (I phrased that wrong last time), because of strength distribution, and because of an anatomical advantage. Obviously with enough planning, then it doesn't matter. I was thinking more of spur of the moment cases where one person says no and the other person says doesn't matter. On a happier note, I think I had an excellent day today. I'll find out for sure sometime between tomorrow and mid next week, but I think that certain endeavors have gone a lot better than I thought they would, and for not the first time in my life, real world events have conspired to make certain things in my life much easier (which seems fair since its done its fair share of throwing me curve balls too). And aside form the part where I still take about a full hour to fall asleep every night, even with the aid of sleeping pills, it seems I am starting to get over at least some of the fatigue that has been plaguing me for weeks now. I realised today that while it is looking like I might never actually feel like getting out of bed in the morning ever again, no matter what duration of sleep I have, anything past maybe 7 hours doesn't seem to have any impact on how awake I am during the day (if anything, less is more). Now, if only I could somehow make all the flat surfaces in my room (floor included) become electrified if I try to lay down on them for the first 30 minutes after my alarm goes off. Which according to all their stupid rules, I SHOULD be assisted as I class for it. The only worry I have is they'll use the "Parent's earn too much" bullshit line. Been walking around this huge workshop trying to look busy by sweeping or playing with my phone. I'm considering taking up smoking so I have something to do. 4 hours to go... Lucky, we're still expected to turn up to all classes. We can't even leave when we have study period before/after lunch, although we can go home early and and come to school late with it, which is nice. I passed on my grades through UCAS for Uni and I guess that when A Levels come in UCAS informs the universities since I didn't have to inform them of what I got or anything *shrug*. It shouldn't pose an issue, nowhere in the education system (that I am aware of) asks to see certificates these days, especially universities.For 1 thing GCSE means like nothing to universities, for another further education results (a levels etc) all get passed through UCAS to be given to the universities so they get all the confirmation they need that way.
