Being perfectly honest, when you described the party as 'going to an island to paint on canvas', the immediate assumption is that everyone will be high, and someone probably has Shrooms. Not sure how you didn't catch that, especially if your already in circles where you smoke pot :P

Tonight I was putting garbage outside, and as I moved to go back in, what I assumed was a neighbors cat got startled and skittered backwards a bit. My first thought was that it was hunting rats, which would potentially put me a little closer to it's potential prey than I am entirely comfortable with. Then it moved into the porch light and I noticed it was in fact a raccoon, my first sighting of one on our property ever. We just kind of starred at each other for a few seconds while I tried to decide what to do. I settled on continuing with the original plan of heading to my backdoor, and the raccoon decided to go hide behind the back deck, peering up at me over the edge from around a corner (I didn't think to take a picture, though I'm not sure firing a camera flash at it would rank among my best decisions anyway). I do have to admit, they are really adorable. That said, I think I prefer to have rabbits as my adorable wild creature of choice in my backyard. I'll still take the raccoon over deer though.

Yeah, he had just stressed that he didn't want any alcohol there so I didn't really know what to expect in regards to everything else. I knew there would be weed there because my friend was bringing it and I brought my piece but the acid kind of caught me by surprise. Looking back though, you're absolutely right lmao.

 

And I forgot to mention, Paul (the host) is kicked out of his house now. His parents will still help him pay for college if he keeps his grades up but he's already moved to his college's town. Probably never going to see him again lol.

Got to go to Griffins game on Friday night, they won, but lost on Saturday, they're tied in the series 1-1. Hopefully Detroit wins tonight. Hopefully get some stuff done for my Knights of Ni helmet as well, although I've not got power tool access at the moment. And it looks like rain.

back from a 4 day "roughin it" camping trip. Packed nothing but food, tent and wood. Was the most tranquil experience I've had in ages.

 

Problem was, my pregnant friend who was 20 weeks got a call from her mom that her dog died in the middle of the trip. But she ended up being okay because she's a rational girl. Just needed a sonic smoothie, and some friends (which there was plenty back at the campsite, having 14 of us chilling around a fire most of the trip).

 

I got home an hour or so ago to find out the girl I was going to get fixed up with suddenly died while I was out camping. Which is tragic. She was a nice girl. 3rd person in my graduating class that I knew that's died. And I'm only 21. Grab life by the horns kids. Never know what's gonna go down.

 

In other camping news, I took a ton of pictures, went hiking, went fishing, and ignore the two dozen work related calls and 17 work related text messages. Super chill. I wish I could have stayed there forever.

Sold my iPhone 4s and ordered a Nexus 4, it's only going to cost me about $140 and I was getting so sick of iOS. Living without a phone for a week is going to be rough though.

It's been a weird day. I've been at a friends house this past weekend. I took him back to his apartment and had a wonderful time with him and his room mate. We've been friends since high school. Now I'm back home and I just feel down. I don't know if it's the house I've been living in for almost 22 years or the parents or both. I'm hoping it's just the fact I'm sleepy that's making me down. Start to work more the my normal school scheduled of 22 hours. Tomorrow I work 13:30-22:30 and starting to work 32-35 hour weeks.

@RPG, it's good to just have that mellow time away from everything, isn't it. Sorry to hear about your friend/ex-school acquaintance though.

 

Just found out my Laptop arrives Thursday, same day as my camera. This will insanely cheer me up. I've been rather depressed these past few days and everynight I keep having dreams with my ex in them, when I wake up it's a huge punch in the feels. :(

it is, until you do it. I do it few times a year when I'm traveling, I won't have service for one reason or another, but I won't think about my phone again until I'm back in service. It only sucks when you miss an important phone call or email (emphasis on important).

I would love to be able to just get rid of my phone.

FedEx guy just scared the crap out of me, he rang the doorbell and I jumped. Wasn't what I wanted, which was a box of Magic stuff, was a canopy and bungees... Also expecting a dumb book for my summer class that starts in July...

I got a card from the post office, letting me know that a parcel I ordered arrived. Wasn't what I hoped it was, which is a power bank that's almost a month late. Instead it was a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Plug it into one of my new monitors to find that the display doesn't take up the whole screen. Had to return both the new monitors for replacements. They ended up having cheaper ones in stock so I got Metro Last Light with the difference. Came with a flashlight and a bonus weapon. Flashlight is pretty crappy, it sometimes doesn't turn on. Should be an interesting game, rated R18+ for sexual violence, so I'm curious as to what that means.

The new franchise owners at my job finally came around that having too many employees at the store is not cost-effective. I lost two days, but I'm not complaining. Lost two of the dead, boring days.

 

Other than that...mods. I really love mods. :wink:

So, that's three Metro games now? I have the first one, and I know about Rangers. Didn't know about Last Light. I assume there are others I also don't know about then, and I now understand why they gave the first one away for free.

 

That's got to be pretty weird having that many people from your graduating class die.

 

 

 

Not to happy about the news about CSIS being spectacularly, comically, incompetent at their job when it comes to telling people about what they knokw. What they did is pretty embarrassing. It's bad enough that the FBI had to tell us we had a leak, we didn't need to compound it by promptly conducing a full investigation and then sitting on it, until the FBI got so frustrated that they just went to the RCMP instead. It seems we also managed to nix the idea of just finding an excuse to get our mole across the American border so the FBI could just do it themselves (thus saving the RCMP months of their own investigation).

Thanks man. It was confirmed as a suicide today, and I've been pretty bummed since I heard.

Wached Yugioh Zexal's first 2 episodes. Remember first watching YGO 12 years ago and avoided this show for some time. It's okay so far. Also realize there are 9 more days until i get my final grades from community college and then my degree before going to a Uni

I just tried to log on to Diablo 3 only to find out I have been suspended. It tells me to check the e-mail sent to me... There wasn't one. I checked the battle.net forums and found out I am suspended for 2 days... Reason? N/A.
