I don't see why everyone is so up in arms about 2 weeks of not having an update. Jagex aren't allowed Christmas and New Years off?

Because it's a total of 3 WEEKS without an update. Including one when most people are already over their hangovers.

I thought is was fishy that they gave 2 master quests with great rewards in December, not to mention Kuradal and the christmas update

They really should have staggered it better. Like switching the releases of the Christmas update and Blood Runs Deep would've worked much better and not felt like such a huge gap without some update of substance.

And sorry we can't all be low level noobs like you Racheya.

Hey I take offence to that :o I'm at least a mid level noob.

They could have staggered it better but oh well, I guess they figured people would be too busy with their Christmas presents over the next week, and we go back to school next week (fml) . This might mean they're starting next year off with a bang.

You should be pleased too, Libs, since the upgrade year is over :P

I thought you said in the Slave Auction thread that you were a low level noob and kinda poor to boot?

Yeah I made note in another topic that if they took these two weeks off it better be because they have something really big to kick the year off. If it's more hairstyles and cows/chickens getting a graphical makeover I'm gonna be seriously let down.

And no more upgrades =

I wouldn't expect Jagex to have an update fully prepared before the Christmas holiday for them to release it straight away on the 4th - 10th. That week will probably be for last minute checks on whatever they are planning for the week of the 11th. (Fairy Tale Part 3?)

Well, the QA team would've had the Christmas update finished well in advance as it's the only update lately that had a definite date it had to be released by. So it would stand to reaon that FT3 would be pretty much done as it spent a lot of time in QA already. And all of QA can't be on holiday at the same time.

Well look on the bright side, more time before they nerf the juggling godsword glitch

Do you even know what the word nerf means? Removing a glitch is not "nerfing". When Runescapers try to use mature MMO terms its really emberassing.

Oi! I had to work Christmas eve, day, New Years eve, and day.

Jagex *should* have had an update for week of 4-10th ready.

That said, oh well.

lol

"Nerf" is a "mature" MMO term? I'm pretty sure the term "nerf" is derived from the toy weapons brand name. And you are choosing to use "mature" in the same context as it?

No, it's not technically a "nerf," but it happened, and was something the player's enjoyed and could by many be considered an update because it's harmless and cool looking, and could therefore be "nerfed."

Your ignorance is astounding. Nerfing is a mature MMO term used since the days of Everquest. Nerfing means to make something less viable. It is the opposite of the word buff - which means to make something more viable. For example, if Jagex decided to make melee combat do less damage in order to balance the combat triangle, then that would mean that melee got nerfed.

Please know what you are talking about before you emberass yourself like the rest of the Runescape kids.

Lol, I'm just trying to point out the fact that you're taking it so freaking seriously when the term derives its name from a toy brand. Lighten up and stop insulting people, all it does is make you look like a jerk. I don't quite get what "mature" has to do with anything, either. And Runescape kids? You're on a RS forum dude. I understand perfectly well that his use of "nerf" was not correct, but that doesn't mean you have to go all psycho name calling on us.

In runescape, nerf is used towards anything jagex do that the player in question doesnt like. Yes, its used wrong. Yes, nerf is a toy brand which I didnt even know about untill you said it and yes, nerf is the opposite of buff.

Shall we get back on topic?

Hi all, we're starting the new year off with a really cool spotlight video on the YouTube channel. Enjoy! http://[Censored - Don't use a URL shortner]/xeh2V -Mod Crow

If it's talking about the Guitar Hero style video, then it's AWESOME!

@xxshady: Maybe he was wrong, but there's no point in being a [bleep] about a small misunderstanding, is there? Also, before you go calling us kids, then spell a easily spelt word. Embarrass.

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

I'm hoping the next update brings the new skill. Though I also hope not because I'm trying to get myself to 96 summoning before that comes. I would like to have a powerful familiar and a good BoB just in case either make leveling it quicker. Currently I have 91 banked and I'm booking it to get to at least 92 or 93... I want this achievement diary done too hahaha!

Well, the nice ones are on holiday which is why we don't get an update. The ones who had to stay are pissed that they don't get a vacation so they're rubbing it in our face. Bunch of buttwipes.
