ldailey06
In the time it took you to notice, be outraged, create a collage of images, and post about the noob afker you could have earned as much xp as he does in an entire night. why do you care? The reason this "problem" is hard to solve is because there is no problem to begin with.
SportsGuy
I think it's cheating. I can't prove that they're away from the computer, but it's likely. If it were abusing a different kind of loophole, one that you cared about, you'd be upset. Lack of understanding here is no reason to be glib. Death
I'm kind of confused why people are doing this there of all places...they could be in some completed deserted area. :| Not that I approve of it, I just don't understand why they would do it there. GibberEsh
I've seen people do it in other weird places too like in the Myreque tunnels. It bugs me because they're cheating. That's all. And that when I try to do stuff like fletching, heblore, crafting etc there, it gets annoying to hear the stupid splash spell and I know I can turn sound off but... Aneron
To all of you saying "ban them". Why? How is this bothering you in any way? They are stealing my magic ranks 5.5 xp at a time
J35u5_M4
People do these to get cheap mage levels while they don't even bother at being in the PC, a friend made some calcs and it would take 28m to get 1-99 Magic here.... So they're like 'LET'S DO IT @@@' Epic noobs.
Lap
I just got 10k minds from slayer, I did the same thing (except underneath the mages guild), but I was there, just watching a movie. Also, if you want to have a right laugh, use your cat to kill any mice that are being attacked. 45,657th to 99 Range 29/09/09 , 41,018th to 99 Mage 13/11/09__________________

BiJay
Off topic slightly...if I have my laptop sitting beside me as I sleep, is that AFK? ;) i would never do it, but it is a valid question A similiar question came up in the german JMod consultation-hour. It was about clicking high alchemy without sitting at the computer (with wireless mouse/keyboard or a WLAN remote control). And the JMod said it's against the rules because you don't recognize what's happening on your computer screen. In this case you don't even click something so it must be against the rules. jonni
Maybe report them and hope they get banned. Or jagex needs some sort of system that detects AFKness. violent random events!! that would work!! that'll teach those noobs to afk! Quick jagex, make some random events that kill you unless you talk to them! -.- seriously that was the ultimate anti-afk [hide=]I MISS YOU STRANGE PLANT[/hide] dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project. strilmus
So, if you know what's going on with your computer yet do nothing to stop it from happening, does that count as recognizing what's going on? I mean, if you KNOW you're doing it and you're there, it shouldn't matter if you're awake or not, if we're going by that definition.

gspbeetle
For those people saying bandit is afking... It is impossible to afk in bandits. That place is very popular and it is muticombat, that means from time to time random people will hop in and take your spot if they know you are afking. To all of you saying "ban them". Why? How is this bothering you in any way? Examine ChenGMT (level: 138)

Zantareous
just came across this lol I'm surprised they were finally able to organize themselves into a line (when I was there they were scattered everywhere). Me_Hate_Libs
How do you know they are afking and not playing with all their chats turned off? Because they do it for 24-48 hours straight. Anyway, one thing I've never worked out, why in the world isn't there a combat timer? If you can kill something in 5 minutes, you're done. Creature respawns. And they can obviously make exceptions. Leave the boss monsters without this feature. You can't afk the KQ, KBD, Jad anyway. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. muggiwhplar
this doesn't really need to be fixed/nerfed... they're kinda hurting themselves by spending 2gp per magic xp and getting 6k xp/hour... it's like the most inefficient training method ever lol
