200M in all Skills

I didn't claim it was easy, I claimed it was pretty easy when you finished university, afaik a cabbageload of the people here become a doctor, 7000 euros, easily. ~3000-3500 euros for a vet, and so on.. If you're going to do something with mathematics/art/medical stuff it's pretty easy to earn loaaaaaaads..

I lol'd @ doctor. You have to spend extra years in school, not making money, in order to even achieve what you're saying. And then once you're a doctor, you usually will have to work ridiculously long hours and be around sick people often. I'm sure that lifestyle is extremely more healthy, right???

Lmao I find it hilarious to see the amount of arrogance in people for them to straight up say that someone else's point of view is wrong. I am not taking anybodies side as personally I play very little if at all, however as being an educated person I can see both sides of the situation. However coming from a lot of these comments I don't think many people can. Just because you don't agree with someone's point of view doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong, specially one's such as what you should be doing with your personal time. For example the people that say keeping up with a social life, job, gym, girlfriend etc., at first the appeal may be awesome due to it's what we are conditioned to think is healthy and strive for. But at a closer look you can see that these people are not god's they might in fact be very unhealthy. That is because what do we define as health? The best optimum condition to live the longest, and highest quality of life possible I believe would work well. If you strive for all those things you might become stressed, or induce other problems. Also quality of life is determined by differently by everyone, so I see no reason for anyone to question someone's motives for living life the way they choose to.

What I am trying to say is, I find it ridiculous that even with the amount of education available today, we still live in a society where people are so arrogant they can only see their point, and still live in a black and white decision box (first year psychology metaphor). Living your life to the fullest is metaphorically like Beauty it is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't understand why some people here flame certain top players on the way they play the game. Whether it's efficient or relaxed it shouldn't concern you, just mind your own business :) I would rather play like Aasiwat, in a relaxed way so I don't burn out and end up like Zarfot. Although, if he quit for some other reason then my statement is irrelevant, it was just an example. The way Aasiwat plays seems pretty efficient if you ask me, keep in mind that he is ranked 1 in overall XP.

Just like to point out your making an un-supported assumption that Zarfot burned out

If you're going to do something with mathematics/art/medical stuff it's pretty easy to earn loaaaaaaads..

You said there were a cabageload of jobs that earn over 10 000 euros, which kind of implies it is easy to find one...

I have yet to even think of a job that earns 10 000 euros right when you get of the university. The only one I could think of was a specialised doctor, who has to study 13 years before he can make the big money, but you just said that's only 7000.

Art makes money? Only if you are the best of the best of the best. Most people who studied art are dirt poor and have trouble finding well paid projects.

Maths/engineering etc? Makes pretty good money, if you get into a good componey, but NO WAY that you get payed over 4000 euro's a month at your start, let alone over 10 000, that's completely ridiculous.

Anyway, what I just wanted to say is: stop posting false info about the Netherlands. There's already enough people coming here with false hopes created by other people.

The father of my best friend does something with taxes, just finished secondary school (6 years of VWO) then a couple years of universitary and earns 12,000 euros a month and so 144,000 euros a year.

Rather that then playing games.

If he's the father of your friend, that means he's an older man which means he's very much likely had several jobs in the past. That means he has a lot of something called WORK EXPERIENCE. People are more likely to hire him than some kid freshly out of a university. Having that degree only raised what he'd normally get otherwise.

Btw, can we slow all of this rapid posting down? We've jumped up like 5 pages in the past 8 hours. I don't like wasting an hour or two catching up if I don't look at this thread for a day lol.

*Waits for a Langer update to put it back OT*

Any top players care to share their opinion on Effigies.

I suggest you check my adventurer's log

I got 3 effigies in an hour at cave crawls, and have been averaging 1.5 an hour. I don't know if my method yields many more kills than others or not or if I'm gettign extremely lucky but either way it's by far the best way to train

/e forgot you can't see the times lol, but I haven't heard of anyone getting these high rates although my sample size is only about 20 effigies

If you click the link in my sig it should explain the various methods for effigies. The theoretical drop rate should be around 1/650-1/750 which is 1 an hour or 65minutes.

I don't suppose you've logged your kills?

unfortunately it's impossible for me to log my kills because I'm ranging them with cannon (varied amounts of damage:ranged exp) but I have been recording my effigies per hour so far. I've seen your stastics before and if I decide to continue cave crawlers i'll likely be using dharoks, so I could defintely contribute.

Ps. I've been using void ranged with anti poison totem/steel titan , just fyi. IT works quite nicely only needed 2 ranged pots per inventory and no antis, but i'm not sure if it would be better than void deflector or not.

Don't understand why everyone wants to say how other people should live their lives...

Player A - have a job, because he needs money

Player B - don't have a job, because he don't need the money, or at his time of life, don't need/want one (before anything, if his living this way, it's because he can so....)

8h00 Player A and B wake up

9h00 Player A and B finished up higiene routine as well ate breakfest

Player A leaves for work / Player B turns on computer

13h00 Player A leaves work for lunch break

Player B leaves home to lunch with friends/ gf/ bf as they left for lunch break, being it at university or job

14h00 Player A and B return to job / home because lunch break ended

20h00 Player A goes home after a day working or meet friends and have a coffe and such

Player B goes meet his friends and have a coffee and such

22h00 Player A logs in runescape for his 2h a day playtime

Player B hangs on with gf/bf or in case don't have one, with friends or doing any other hobbie

both end up sleeping and starts all over again

Player A works 10h/sleeps 8h/ play runescape 2h/ socialize 4h

Player B play runescape 10h/ sleeps 8h/ socialize 4-6h / other stuff 0-2h <- might be an healthy one perhaps ...

now what's wrong with that?

Should i say player B is doing his/her life in a wrong way?

Honestly this thread needs to stop returning to a criticism of nolifing. This is about someone getting all skills to 200m Xp, so it's going to be assumed that the player who reaches it will have RuneScape as a top priority in their daily life. To criticize that is to criticize the concept of the goal itself and should really not be a discussion on this thread. If you can't accept that other people do not agree with your idea of a proper lifestyle, Teamed, then please don't post on this thread anymore. Or if you do still wish to post, in the least refrain from criticizing the way of life of the top players being discussed on this thread.

Not caring a crap about family/the other sex? Lol, those people hopefully don't exist..

I'm not opposed to this guy being banned.

Agreed. What's wrong with you Teamed? You have been trolling last 3 pages how every1 should live megauberlifestyle of yours..

Teamed:

And for my previous statement, I was ment to say if people doesn't want to MAKE a family or are not intrested about being in relationship.. Didn't mean to say about not caring current family (parents or so) or being not intrested in girls.. And yes. There are such as people like that. For example myself, I'm not intrested in making family or having a relationship with someone. I just wanna live a life I enjoy in front of comp, K?

I did some more calculating about whether slayer with effigies on slayer is better in the long run than slayer with effigies on RC. And before people jump down my throat with this useless efficiency debate that is going on right now, I am simply providing information for people to make the own decisions about. Remember this is a video game and the sole purpose is to have fun so there is no reason to do any activity in this game if you aren't having fun regardless of efficiency.

Alright the math (Skip to the bottom for a conclusion if you don't want to follow the numbers):

Each effigy gives 90k/8/2 = 5625 xp to each skill and 48,029 to the lamp skill.

5626*0.9231 = 5192.4375 xp per hour to all 8 effigy skills

48,209*0.9231 = 44335.5699 xp per hour in the lamp skill

5192.4375+44335.5699 = 49528 xp per hour in skills

80k+160k = 240k cmb xp per hour (range and melee, not counting hp)

240k+49528 = 289,528 xp per hour total at cave crawlers

Note: there is also some herb xp too from herbacide.

let x equal the total amount of slayer xp needed to be gained to get 200m with effigies:

x+(x/100k)(48029)=185m

x = 124,975,512 slayer xp

at a 1:1 range to slayer ratio half of those damage points will be cannoned/titan and half will be melee.

124,975,512/2 = 62,487,756 damage points from range and the same from melee.

62,487,756*4 = 249,951,024 xp to be spread across melee.

Assuming you have 15m in all stats to start:

This means that 15m-200m slayer will get you to about 200m attack, 80m defence, and 140m range.

Assuming 45k/h slayer xp with out effigies.

45k/100k = .45 effigies per hour

.45*48029+45k = 66,613 xp slayer per hour with effigies used on slayer

185m/66613 = 2777.24 hours for 15m-200m slayer with effigies

.45*5626 = 2531.7 xp per hour in all 8 effigy skills

taking the numbers from above 185m+185m+65m+125m = 560m total xp gained from 15m-200m slayer with effiges

560m/2777+2531.7 = 204,188.16 total xp per hour while slaying with effigies on slayer

Note: there is also some herb and prayer xp too from herbacide and bonecrusher.

154m+120m = 274m melee xp left to gain after 15m-200m slayer if effigies are used on slayer

274m/80k = 3425 hours at cave crawlers till 200m cmb

3425*.9231 = 3161 effigies

3161*59250 = 187.3m RC xp, so assuming you already had 15m RC xp, you would still max RC.

Therefore the conclusion I can draw from this is, since slayer with effigies would be around 204k xp per hour and cave crawlers is around 289k xp per hour, if one was truly devoted to efficiency it would save time to actually use effigies on slayer rather than RC and then spend the rest of melee at cave crawlers which would still result in 200m attack, defense, strength, ranged, HP, summoning and RC (like slayer with effigies on RC and then cave crawlers to finish strength would) But this method accomplish those stats in less time and would result in more total effigies used meaning more xp in all 8 of the effigy skills.

I find this a little sad because that means that slayer and RC are kinda [bleep]ed, and personally I would not want to spend 3,425 hours cannoning cave crawlers lol.

Where did you get 45k/h slayer xp from? Also you didn't count cost of the cannoning after 200M slay. Ur math is right if you have unlimited money or if you dont count lost money as in hours.

I assumed away cost in all of my calculations for this thread because for efficiency calculations I would need how much money you can make per hour merchanting, or w/e method you choose to make money with. So these numbers are pruely based on xp/hr regardless of cost, but yes cave crawlers are very expensive, around 5.5k cannon balls per hour. As for 45k/h that is about what it was from what I remember, but like I said I quit a while back so things have change give me a more accurate number and I will recalculate, instead of a worthless comment criticizing my numbers with out providing an alternative. People in this thread seem to do that a lot. It's called constructive criticism, use it.

-1.5-2m an hr to mmax runecrafting and less varied instead of max out slayer and rc otherwise. and less moneyloss but i assume better if money isnt an issue and can take doing the same thing for 3345 hrs =p personally im hoping for an update that speeds up rcing

i also rather agility sped up too

I guess merchanting income is hard to pin down, like farm runs. Technically torstol farming is like 4m/hr, but you can only do so much of it per day.

You could set a daily income from merchanting, like 5% profit on 2b, which would be 100m per day, or just over 4m/hr if averaged across that day, or like 200m/hr if you take half an hour to manage your GE offers.

If you make 100m/day, you can do 50 hours of crawlers per day and not lose net value.
