I "speak" more intelligently on the internet. And make less jokes, because puns are harder. But apart from that, not really. At times I can be MORE OUTRAAAAAAAAAAAGEOUS in real life.

 

Yeah, I went there. I also "talk" a good deal less all up in this.

Pretty much the same. Find it a bit easier IRL to get a conversation going as it's easier to make jokes and stuff like that in person. I also swear a lot more IRL.

I am a bit different IRL than here, IRL I'm really not the sort to answer questions in class, even if I know the answer. I'm shy but I can get a bit crazy when I'm with my friends.

 

Here I have time to think over a response if someone questions me, which means I'm free to speak more about practically anything.

This. Though I do find it easier to voice my opinion online than irl. The anonymity makes me feel more comfortable, too.

And I am pretty much the same. I don't say much to people the first time I speak, but if I start to like them then I open up more and more. But I will do it MORE on the internet than anywhere IRL.

I'd say I am pretty much the same. There may be more things I'd say on the internet compared to real life, but in essence my personality is no difference. I'm still a prude. :mrgreen:

At home around family/close friends I'm craaaazy. At school or in general public, I don't speak at all. On the internet I'd like to think I'm a little mellow.

I prefer 'talking' on the internet though that's not a good thing because my people skills suck.

in the real world, I'm introverted but assertive.

 

in MMOs, I'm quiet but active.

Uhh, I say a bit more on the internet to you guys than I do it real life, but I'm no where near as funny on the internet. It just doesn't translate well, so I don't even try here.

A bit different, yes. I tend to be more reserved (in my opinions [besides the topics discussing those opinions] and what I do) here because I tend to offend people more on the internet; when I'm within a group that I know I generally won't offend (IRC, Fally), I'm more my normal self. It's more of a knowing people's personalities thing than anything else. When I feel I know them better I act more like my irl self because I tend to say really odd things that (random) people don't get irl.

I don't think so, I mean, I guess I'm a little bolder, but that comes free with the anonymity the internet provides.

I used to be very quiet IRL, but as time progressed - I'm in Sixth Form now - I've shrugged off my teenage selfconciousness and I'm pretty bold irl. Wear red jeans & the like, mainly for fun and because if I get odd looks, who really cares? These people won't affect my life. I take the same stance on the internet really, it's only the internet - the only people that really matter to me are my close friends net-wise. Sure, I'm civil but I'll end up trolling randomers eventually.

Exactly what I am like. Real life I am quite a nasty joker, internet I try to tone it down.

I'm a 35 year old trapped in an *18* YO's body, that acts like a 12 year old, usually in both both rs and real.

Very different on TIF, not so different in chats.

 

It is not because I feel I can't express myself as freely here, I just feel that it is a bit more formal than a conversational chat or talking IRL.

I'm about as talkative online, but I probably come of as a bit of a [bleep] (b word, not f) online more often than in real life because I can't really let you guys know my tone or body language over the internet.

I also like to start screaming for no reason in real life. Best I can do here is GO INTO ALL [bleep]ING CAPS DAMN IT!

 

Conversations with me that are going well should be expected to end in shouting. I'm a loud [bleep]. I say naughty words a lot too, when I feel it is appropriate.

Other than that not too much of a difference really. I tend to be more formal on the forums but I'm more of myself when I talk over an IM or ventrilo.
