Some people just don't realize how lucky they are to own a partyhat.

i disagree with this part. while it may apply to the person you were addressing (who purchased his/her phat for 70m on the GE if i recall correctly), some partyhat owners, myself included, didn't get it for cheap and had to pay full street price for it. some people will work for it, and they will get it. i don't consider any partyhat owner lucky to have one unless a friend sold one to them for trade price in the last two years.

Actually, I think his point still stands. Even if you are paying full "street price" for a party-hat, you are still lucky to get someone to sell you one for the current street. Most people have learned by now that unless Jagex changes something, the price will only continue to rise. So having someone sell you an item for its current street price, when it will never drop, is still very lucky since there will ALWAYS be someone who is willing to pay more for your item tomorrow. In that sense anyone who buys a party-hat though any means now is lucky enough for the person selling to dismiss their future profits they would of made holding onto the item.

It has been said many times on this thread, once you sell a party-hat, it will be almost impossible to get it back.

But theres always those people who managed to get a party hat, realized they really don't care that much. And would rather sell it for full street and do other stuff with there huge pile of cash like PK or something.

O.O

IMO merchers sell most of the phats. Merchant sells phat for items A, B and C, and rebuys from another player for A and B.

Opinion. Care to back it up? This is a fact thread.

There is a blue partyhat on the top of the most valuable items traded list. Along with divine, ely, and purple. Who would ever Ge those? Well, maybe the ely, but why on earth would you Ge a blue??

Edit: mostly rhetorical questions. But the blue being there does appear to mean that someone got incredibly lucky.

Nope. Purely IMO. Makes sense to me. I'll suppose to sell a phat in this day and age you are crazy and most people are not crazy; hence most will only sell if they see an opportunity.

It's based on observation (albeit perhaps bias based on my assumption) and how you upgrade to higher phats.

Here's a fact: you're a tool. For the evidence to back that up, I present you with..

Lol, this thread is all people speculating on the future prices of rares. It's people guessing. Sure there's some fact (Like stating street of certain items), but for the most part it's all people's "IMO". :).

uhh

i sold my red phat for a green and a purple, then worked the purple up to a divine. is that considered a "merchant"? that label is used so loosely, lol.

people who call others merchants generally think that they have dozens of partyhats and billions in cash, junk, and risings. not everyone who sells a phat is a merchant by that definition.

Fact thread? I haven't seen many facts...

In any case, it's more than likely right- the majority of partyhats is circulated by merchants, leaving some(maybe half) to usual rich people(who usually don't buy or sell them casually), thus he would be right in saying that most of them are sold by merchants(and perhaps even owned, but we'll never know).

Blade, I would consider anyone working to increase their wealth in street price trough trading a merchant.

the intent was to get a divine and a green phat, not to increase my street wealth.

It's not the intent rather what you are doing. If you get your street up by doing clues and sniping the ge- you are not a merchant. If you get your street up by trading with other players, i would say you are.

Hey everyone, just got Dragon Sq Shield Ornamental Kit (or). From what I've seen it's worth a little more than it's 5M GE value... not expecting a lot more. But if someone could inform me of the street price whatever it is, it would be helpful. Thanks in advance :)

In world 2 a week ago people were selling for about 12 to 14mil cash. Not sure how accurate that is now but hopefully that gives you a better estimate.

I got a fury ornament kit from an elite about 2 weeks ago (I think thats when it was). Now I have no junk or anything, so I probably would never be able to sell it, but I'm just curious as to what its current street is, anyone know?

saw fury kits selling for 80m yesterday

Damn, wish I would have had 100m cash when I first got it, then I could've taken the disk that someone offered me for it. <_<

Gahhhh I want a 3rd age druidic cloak badly. Too bad they're not selling :( anyone have a rough idea of how hard it is to obtain one via the G.E.? Any people successfully buy one from the G.E. etc?

I've seen Druidic bottom sniped before (don't exactly remember where the picture is) but never seen the clock sniped.

The cloak, wreath, and staff seems to be the high end of the druidic robe market. All 3 are worth somewhere

around red and white. Very hard to come by. The top and bottom seems to be worth about a yellow each.

Also, the cloak is [cabbage]. The SW cape is superior to all its stats and aspects (except for the +1 magic) :XD: . If anything, only the wreath holds merit

for having the highest prayer in the headslot. All the other peices is just purely cosmetic.
