This update is pretty lame. If you compare the game now to back in 2004, almost everything has been revamped, and hitpoints were one of the last shreds of runescape in 2004 that we had left. The fact that Runescape only had a max of 99 hp, is what made the game unique to other mmo's because you'll find that hardly any other mmo has a max hp of under 100.

Ya I totally agree. I don't post much but I always liked runescape for what made it unique such as a non super complex game interface and playing style. This update only seems to complicate the game and confuse pkers and boss hunters for a while.

I must agree. RuneScape has been becoming too complicated in recent times. With all the PvP crap, Bounty Worlds, Clan Wars, EP, Potions...and now this. I thought they were trying to make the game mire simple for new players...not more confusing.

If you think multiplying everything by ten is difficult, then you better go back to school mate.

Why should he go back to school? It's not so much as counting or dividing by 10, it's the fact that it's been the same from the start. I've been looking at double digit hp for over 6 years.

When you level up Constitution your Hp goes up by 10, if this is complicated for someone .. well then he is an idiot

You know what I really love about the update? When I hit 4 (40), 9 (90), ect, now that extra damage isn't completely wasted because you need 5 Hp damage to heal 1. Now that extra damage actually means something.

And people, all I have to say is adapt or GTFO. I've wanted an update like this for a long time. And of course when it comes everybody whines because NOBODY LIKES ANY CHANGE. Stop looking at the past with rose tinted glasses, the game sucked back in 2004.

By that logic, shouldn't any armor past rune make you want to quit?

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

This is pretty neat. This opens up paths for special armour and items which can increase or decrease const.

So you are complaining because the game is changing? Where is Quelmortz and Omali when you need them.

I have a really hard time gauging hits.

Yes, it's 10x what it used to be, but it's still hard to get used to in the middle of getting hit.

I also wasn't used to checking my HP (or LP now?) in the box by the map. I almost always used the skill interface.

Do you get less xp for each point of damage dealt?

I know it should be that way but i was just wondering.

Not that much of a difference, used to it after a few minutes at fire giants.

in my protest of the name LP, I shall be refering to the whole bundle as HP

Uhh.. Aren't we supposed to have a secure connection when logging into the game? (https instead of http in the adress bar and so on)

No, because they're have always been different armours, but there has always only been double digit hp. Seeing as you probably haven't been playing as long as I have or else you would understand, let's compare this to real life shall we? Let's say you like watching a tv series, and have been for the past 6 years. Than one day the producer of the show changes the show to only black and white, no colors. How about that?

Not really complaining, just voicing my opinion. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

um actually its kind'a the opposite and ATM you are whining because they made the show with colors =/

Honestly though who cares.

So what i we hit bigger people should save the complaining for REAL issues.

oh inb4 World of Runescape

Yeah more like runescape trigger or something (since max HP at max level is closer to that game, than WoW).

The benefits of the change from HP to LP is giving benefits to both the players and Jagex. The opportunities such a change with the skill brings is magnificently awesome and will impact your future gaming a ton.

I would be more grateful than be irritated for the next 5 hours of in-game time you spend getting used to the update. It is just overall so much better and practical in every aspect of game design and even in player comfort and simplicity. As well, this could be a sign of the combat system revamp that I am desperately hoping is a complete redesign of combat in Runescape, as this game is going to fall on itself from the current combat system. In my opinion the current combat system is just feeding the economic problems and is holding Jagex back from releasing some new amazing content on a regular basis - and may have even caused previous updates to be hindered.

Elaborate? I don;t think you understand what I wrote, re-read it.
