Hardest 99?

I have heard a lot of different skills being thought of as the hardest 99 to get. I know the easy ones, like cooking, firemaking, fletching etc. And some of the harder ones I've heard are slayer, runecrafting, mining, smithing. I would love to hear from people that have 99 in any of these stats what their thoughts are about it. Also, I guess it isn't really a "skill" cape, but the quest cape for completing every quest is extremely hard too I'm guessing (think of EVERY requirement for EVERY quest + the actual time it takes to do each one).

No skill is "hard" there just long. Slayer for example - Get a task kill it - get a task kill it etc. Simple

 

When it comes to smithing thou. Thats falling into the cooking and fletching ways of skills. Now that gold ore and bars are cheap you can simple put on the gloves and afk 99

In my opinion Slayer is the hardest 99, it can't be bought (well it can be more with cannon) but it is still very slow.

 

Oh and use the search function next time, it belongs in questionaires and this has been posted before.

I wouldn't say smithing and mining is hard. Mining granite and dropping them is tedious but the LRC gives you an opportunity to pay less attention, unlike Runecrafting where you have to pay constant attention.

 

Mining = Running between gold deposits and a deposit box.

 

Smithing = Running between a furnace/anvil and a bank.

That isn't accurate because some skills are more popular and beneficial than others, so there are going to be more people training them, which equals more 99s. Also some skills have been out longer than others (of course there are going to be less 99s in dungeoneering)

Slayer is at least fun. Runecrafting is soul-sucking.

I think it really depends on what skills you enjoy. For me it would be runecrafting as I don't enjoy the skill. Although I'm only 82 slayer I can see myself getting 99 in time. Runecrafting I don't think I'll ever see. If you're having fun then its almost easier, in a way.

99FM is especially hard seeing as Jagex's Macro detection is "Flawless" now.

Dungeoneering is the "hardest" skill because unlike mining ore and dropping, and following the same path rc'ing runes for a million hours, you have to think/remember/plan etc

This. Getting 99 rc was a pain, even though I got like 2m of the xp from effigies, assisting and quest/diary lamps.

Once you hit 80, living rock caverns, bam afk mining.

 

Easy to hit 50k+/hour at 90+ mining, and that's banking the ores. Dropping them you can go over 70k, although that's less afkish, still much easier than crossmining granite/sandstone.

OT: No skills are hard, they just require a lot of patience. That's all the game is. Repetitive clicking, and immense amounts of patience.

construction isnt expensive anymore. It's like 6 gp/xp with SC hammers.

people just don't think construction is a cool skill.

 

agility is hardest IMO

you can get 30k rc xp a day by assisting effigies now.

Makes it alot easier.
