I think it would be nice if you could just click on the chatbox and chat mode stayed on. After all this time i don't think it's going to work anytime soon until they do something on their end. Even if you try and create a new character i suggest not wasting your time. I can't even run through a cave let alone try to kill something. Maybe wait a while until everything cools down and the lag isn't so terrible.
