No, it's completely different from the real mod invite message. However, I have seen e-mail scams which use the message you get when you become a mod word for word, so it's not unheard of mods helping with those things.

The person thats hosting the app on that site isn't the sharpest tool in the box either.

 

 

 

A simple look up on a 'who is' site provides the domain owners full name and postal address.

 

 

 

I guess they can look forward to some interesting mail from Jagex Towers in due course.

me and one of my friends were playing one time and these two players come up. one of them is wearing a santa and offers us both free santas if we pass a truth test by taking all our rare stuff and meeting them in the wildy.i knew it was a scam but my friend starts falling for it. i didnt realize that he just wanted to see wat they would do until they gave up and left #-o

i was trying to get 100 combat using prayer so i bought d bones and this guy put up noted big bones......they looked like d bones to me..... :cry:

The guy said wait he wants to give me something first (I had a whip equip). So he gave me 3 dragon battle axe and started to attacked me, lol. But I was too smart, I had alching runes with me also so I accepted the trade, then high alch one of his dba, lol. Got me a 2 free dba that day. :twisted:

I was buying obby mauls one day when this guy offered to sell 23 of them at edgeville for 180k each when i offered 230ea. my friend (lvl 59) awesome pker. he came with me to the ditch. i came with a dds and monks robes w/boots of lightness and varrock telly. so we are at ditch, a level 33 is wcing the oaks with his green mask on. my friend and i are at the ditch and my friend said he will buy them for me. the seller refuses. my friend runs 2 levels up and i am following him. The lurer attacks me with ice blitz. it splashes... i unload my specs on him. he blitz me again for a 5 and does more spells, half of which splash and hit under 14. he dds specs me 0-5, 0-1, 10-4, 0-0. i am saying rofl rofl roflcopter the whole time. i telly to varrock when im almost dead and die of poison. i come back to varrock and pick my boots of lightness up (only things i've lost). It turns out that the kid who was the lurer was part of my friend's clan and was kicked out for being a noob. now we see.

I was selling 288 prayer potions (3) for 6k each, and a level 50-something wanted to buy them. He offered 1.8m but seemed reluctant to accepted the trade. Since I wanted to get rid of them quickly, I told him that I would accept 1.7m instead of 1.728m (288 * 6,000). He put up 170k. I decline, but trade again, giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was a typo. However, he put up 170k again, and by now, I knew he was a scammer. He actually admitted it! :lol:

 

 

 

(I actually reported him after the first trade, but I was going to ask Jagex to ignore my report if he wasn't scamming. Turned out he was really a scammer.)

I was just trying to buy ranarr seeds a little while ago and had some noob put up marentill seeds instead. I said, "um, no, ranarr..." and he just logged out and put me on block. Couldn't help but laugh...

I tried to change my password quickly, i withdrew all of my stuff to trade to a friend. and then what happened....I only went a bloody LAGGED out!!!! So he got around 15-20m off my account :wall: :wall:

 

 

 

On the brightside...i recovered my account quickly leaving me around 1m in items ...luckily and my fighter torso, i really wouldnt have got that again lol, too much effort.

 

 

 

But hey...its not that bad...next day i kill 5 steel drags for the first time ever...then....I nearly died of shock for what could i see but a DRACONIC VISAGE lying there on the floor:P so its not all bad

i got scammed...... but this was like 2 years ago? :lol: but anyway i had just bought full black from my friend (well he gave it to me) but any way i fell for the free armour trimming the bad thing is i couldnt report him cause he led me to b vill i was at lummy :( oh well

Almost fell for the full veracs trick where they switch out veracs helm or brassy and put in another skirt... My friend was recently scammed the same way when buying full sara, they switched out plate and put in another set of legs I believe.

 

 

 

SO be careful when you're buying full sets!

i was plaing on rs and i just became a member. a lvl 120+ came to me and said here u go. he gave me full blue mystic and boots. i was so happy, but i didnt know how much they were worth. my freind said to me ill give u a ring of wealth for it (i didnt know how much it was worth). i said sure thinking i just made a good deal. then i found out i got ripped and i was so angry. i hated him for a long time till i beat him up in school :thumbsup: couldnt help it : lol
