....so convenient isn't it to sit smugly behind your keyboards and clack away about the murderous hateful americans who are the scourge of the world......why don't you break the vacuum off your wagon and get out into the world before you continue your ill-informed rhetoric...form all your opinions from the media BS do you?

These "wars" that we (as you falsely claim) americans love to start in foreign countries.....sigh...like we just live to die in foreign countries..oh that's right it is about money *rolls eyes*...you might be able to sit your wagon on your comfy computer chair and look the other way while genocide has killed millions in Africa, look the other way while muslim women can be assaulted by several men, and yet she is the one who gets 80 lashes (front page bahrain paper last week) because she broke the muslim law of allowing herself to be alone with a non family male, thus the assault was her fault...and how the muslim law calls for the oldest brother to kill his own sister if she gets assaulted, because now she is unclean, and the only way to restore honor within the family name, is to kill her...legally...or how about when she is 11 yo and they circumcise her with a pair of scissors (remove [bleep]oris) so that she can never feel desire or pleasure, not her place to feel either, in their views...you may be able to sit back and know that thousands of children are being brainwashed into matrydom and walk out into the road wearing a explosive vest....so they can die and have 72 virgins...*rolls eyes*....

You may be able to do so...but americans can not. You think we do not tire of being the "world police"? You think we do not tire of losing our best and brightest in foreign countries who thumb their noses at the very ones who are trying to save them?....You think we enjoy spending 500 billion on the war in Iraq? That money could have been used building schools, repairing our infrastructure, research on energy options, medical upgrades etc.....hey moron, if we were in Iraq for money, and were the evil people you like to talk about, we would just make it a glass parking lot (which would fix the problem) and set up a gas pump.

One of you said we think we should be the nly ones with nuclear weapons....idiotic statement, it is called nuclear deterence...shhhh don't get into that conversation, that's only for the big boys in the world, you know why? because we are stable....korea, Iran are not stable countries, and cannot be allowed to have big boy weapons, because they will probably use them.

I would love if we just packed up and went home, worldwide...build up our navy again to 600+ warships to protect us, and let the world go to crap...yup, no more billions spent flying in food to africa, russia, and other starving areas of the world because they have defunct governments rife with corruption......no more hospital ships sitting off coast of africa providing free medical and dental care to thousands...let's just pack up and go home.....no more support of our allies, lets pack up and leave, let them be taken over again by their enemies, who sit back and wait for us to pull out...see how many millions suffer then....how about that?

nah, it's much easier to sip a cup of coffee and go on about the evils of americans.....to soak up all that rhetoric poured out by the liberal media groups...yup.....think about if we just pull out...worldwide...think about in 5 years how the world's geography would change.......don't go running to Britan, our stoic allies that I have much respect for, or the Aussies, they can't fight the world baddies without us, feel free to try.

Good post. there's no doubt in my mind that the tagline 'world police' is a tad harsh as America has done some pretty decent things aid-wise. I'm sure no one here (or at least very few) would have the perception that America is all bad and no good. I suppose why we are seeing such an anti-American sentiment on this topis is because it craves us to ramble through the bad rather than the good. I'd much rather have America than not. Think about the capacity of the Muslim religion to take over the west without the U.S. :uhh:

That is not remotely true. Only the typical American stereotype, you, will refuse to see otherwise. I seriously doubt any country could just disappear without global kickbacks. Please, pull your head out of your arse and realise your country isn't the only one which matters.

Oh buddy, please learn how to read before you try to argue. The original statement was:

So you are saying that if the US just disappeared nothing would be different? but a small country in Europe disappearing would mean the end of the world. The US is the super power of the world and the economic center of the world, thats pretty significant. But Sweden has good health care, if they disappeared everything would be different

I never said any of that stuff that you just made up in your response to me. I was agreeing with the statements that A) If the US disappeared than SOMETHING would happen B) Not only Europe disappearing would cause an end the the world C) The US is a Super Power and the economic center of the world and D) We are pretty significant.

It's funny, you're acting like "I'm the typical stereotype of an American". All you did was make stuff up that I said and then act like I did something wrong. In reality, you're the stereotypical "Non-American" who has nothing better to do than talk about how arrogant Americans 'really are', even if they aren't. IE: What you just did to me.

Shake off the dust... arise.

Yes because Iraq attacked us in 9/11 right?

Iraq? When was the last time you were outside ?

He's pointing out that what the other guy said is wrong. The other guy implied that america attacked Iraq because they were responsible for the September 11th attacks. He was sarcastically pointing out that they weren't.

Every country has it's faults and what it does well, but when America does something wrong they make a huge fuss out of it. In your post you never once mention anything bad about America. You never mentioned how soilders beat up civilians in prisons, and erm we probably could manage without you, we did well in the first and second World War, Americans often say oh we saved their buts then, no you didn't, it is like saying you helped win a football game when you came on 5 minutes before the end. People don't like America because they have the ideas that everyone needs them and can not live without them. Afraid to burst your bubble but we have been a civilistation trading with other countries a hell of a lot longer than you guys and we did perfectly well then and could do the same now. Oh and about the statement that America gives the most to Africa your wrong again, you actually give the least out of the "big" countries of the world.

I think you are severely underestimating America's contribution in WW2. They may not have started it, but they did finish it in the Pacific with Hiroshima and Nagasaki, regardless of wether you think it was wrong or right. If my memory serves me correctly, they also served a pretty key role in D-Day, the most important invasion in the whole war in tandom with the Soviets resistance of the Nazis on the eastern front.

America is such a violent country.

More then 5000 children were killed by guns in 2003. Compared to 0 in Japan and 109 in France and 100 or so in Canada.

5000!

Yeah, that's a pretty good point. Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore, although not very realistic, is generally true about the American gun culture and paints a slightly scary picture to say the least.

We have an amendment in our Constitution (I think it's the 4th? :XD:) that gives Americans the right to bear arms. Therefore a liscense to own a gun is very easy to get, as long as you are over the age of 16. Also, as far as I know, there are no current laws to keep guns hidden, and away from children's hands.

I think that the fact that 0 people were killed by guns in Japan is complete [cabbage]. I'm pretty sure that you just made that up.

I suppose then Lord Krohn the fact that 40,000+ innocent Iraqi's have died in the conflict means nothing to you? Sacrificed for democracy I suppose. Why don't you think of someone elses view point for one minute instead of your drill seargants.

Imagine this, you're happily sitting down for lunch with your family perhaps you go out to get some milk from the store. You return and find your house has been 'smart' bombed to pieces along with your family. It was done by soldiers of a foreign power that you have nothing to do with. How would that make you feel? Happy that you are now liberated from your evil dictator which gave you electricity and running water. Happy that your whole family is dead in the name of 'democracy', the 'correct way' to govern a country, hmm I don't think you would be.

Mock the credibility of my example as much as you will but that is why people have no patience for America that is why the Iraqi's want you out of their country. Your ignorance is pretty shocking considering you're a solider there.

He's not saying that the Iraqi's would be better off without US help, its just that you have handled the situation terribly. Of course you mean well, I personally don't think oil is that big a reason for going.

Call me naive, but I think the US went into Iraq, mainly, to get rid of a horrible dictator.

I'd like to ask you few questions.

1) Saddam's wmp's were not found, yet there was supposed to be solid proof. At least that's what the big audience was told. What happened to your proof or to Saddam's weapons?

2) Which leader, George or Saddam, has started more wars? Which one of them has ruled for a longer period of time?

3) Which country has the most nukes and probably the biggest amounts of biologica weapons?

4) Which country was the first one (and only!) to use nukes against another nation?

5) How many iraqian civilians have died during the time you have been in Iraq?

If you ask opinion, I support Iraq in this war. They are fighting for their freedom, you for their resources.

The problem with america is, that they still have the death penalty.

And we still use it

What a intelligent response to the use of a barbaric law which is fundamentally flawed as a deterent.

Mr. Bush, our leader - Not the most brilliant man out there. Hell, I might even be smarter than him. He's messed some things up in his time and screwed over his approval rating but he's only here for ~1.5 years more. A lot of people dislike him (including me) but isn't it fun to have someone to so easily make fun of?

Thats the stupidest thing i have ever heard, do you even have a sense of what he has done to individual people? Thats not something to laugh about.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

The crime is My Lain massacre. About 500 civilians, mainly children, women and old men were brutally massacred and no real acts were taken to punish the people who had caused it.

In 1970s some officers were put in charge. At the end one of them got punished. His first sentence was lifelong jail trip. He must have had a darn long life as Nixon freed him after 2 days.

I'm pleased to see that in nowadays at least some people get punished for their acts in Iraq. .

The American military covering up their crimes is still going on. In fact today a UK coroner found that the 'friendly fire' killing of British serviceman Matty Hull was an unlawful killing. This comes after the USA tried for months to conceal the video evidence of what had happened in order to prevent fair proceedings to go ahead. The video evidence finally had to be given up by America after a UK tabloid newspaper leaked it out to the public. The Americans today still came out today & insisted that the killing was not unlawfull despite the fact that the soldier was in a clearly marked vehicle & that the soldier who pulled the trigger clearly failed to follow the rules of engagement.

If this was the other way about America would be up in arms, this whole thing stinks of hypocrisy.

My favorite thing to hear people say is "you are going to Iraq for oil".

We get more oil from the state of Texas than we do from all of the middle east, excluding Saudi Arabia

I do not hate america I love the country God has blessed me to live in. It is just that we were founded as a Christian nation. Look at how people dressed and what was tollerable back then..and look what it has "matured" into.

Plus we have certain people in politics who want us out of Iraq! Well, that gives the terrorist what they want and it shows them that we are under weak leadership if we do not finish the job we started. Look at what happens when Nations look to negotiate will radicals that want our nation dead! How do you confront and talk with someone who utterly hates you?

If we come under weak leadership after Bush, and pull our Soldiers out of Iraq I bet you there WILL be another terrorist attack on this nation. And The AMerican Empire will most likely fall into a period of "Dark Ages".

The point is that oil will end in future. To be powerful then, you need all the oil resources you can get.

Or you could just be mustard gassed by your own leader, if you prefer that. Then he could use it on some neighboring countries because he had a bad day and just feels like killing someone.

I'd like to ask you few questions.

1) Saddam's wmp's were not found, yet there was supposed to be solid proof. At least that's what the big audience was told. What happened to your proof or to Saddam's weapons? LK-Yeah it was really hard to move those before we got there, we had physical evidence that weapons were made, just not the weapons themselves...but it doesn't take much for the dissenters to rally behind a conspiracy theory now does it?

2) Which leader, George or Saddam, has started more wars? Which one of them has ruled for a longer period of time? LK-you have got to be kidding me, how about this one...how many people has Saddam and his pyschotic sons killed...and oh by the way, their own people, how many hundreds of thousands did they ethnically cleanse? that had to be the dumbest thing you have ever said.

3) Which country has the most nukes and probably the biggest amounts of biologica weapons? LK-it is called deterrence, look it up.

4) Which country was the first one (and only!) to use nukes against another nation? LK-we did, and in the long run it saved many lives, it shut the war down right then and there...oh by the way, there was this little thing called Attack on Pearl Harbor...remember that? maybe we should have just waved some signs in protest in front of the japanese embassy.

5) How many iraqian civilians have died during the time you have been in Iraq? LK-it's called secular violence, do innocent people die when we drop our laser guided bombs? yup, war isn't a perfect science, we don't hide in mosque though and run out and blow up american, then run back and hide inside again, knowing that the evil americans won't bomb and shoot at their precious religious buildings...they hide behide women and children too..knowing we wont shoot back....we have to fight this war with our hands tied behind our back by political BS, while they behead us on video...yet a couple of our stupid red neck soldiers took some embarrassing pictures and they get put into prison by our government..they get fed special meals, and have full access to their religious beliefs in our detainment center....wonder if we get those priveleges in their camps? I'll answer that for you...no. SO shut it.

If you ask opinion, I support Iraq in this war. They are fighting for their freedom, you for their resources.

LK-omg you really need to get out more, hop a plane and come over here and see your precious iraqis first hand...since you support them so much, pack up your crap and come on over....we are trying to give them freedom imbecile, set up a working government, build their schools......if we were after their oil, we could just start at one end of the country, and bomb it all flat, set up some gas pumps and call it a day....but we are not, get your head out of the media fed BS and come on over and see for yourself.

LK-answered your ridiculous questions

America has to appear as freedom fighting so the rest of the world leaves them alone. The UN would be seriously annoyed if they find out it was for oil, impose sanctions ect.

People can't just go "I want that - BANG" and it all be over. Every action as a reaction, and usually fighting for liberty and justice gives a good reaction. Whereas fighting for oil would generate a bad reaction.

1. You've been in Iraq for almost 4 years. Where would have they rallied them? Just because they could be able to do them, it doesn't mean they would. Also even if they made them, do you really think they would be any kind of a threat to you?

2. Please answer my question. If you can't, I can help you:

Saddam:

Iran vs Iraq (Funny how yankees supported Saddam in this war.)

Gulf war

George:

Afganistan

Iraq

+ A lot of other military interventions including Yemen, Somalia and Colombia. More can be found from http://academic.evergreen.edu/g/grossma ... tions.html for example.

I can answer to your question, however.

Kill tally: Approaching two million, including between 150,000 and 340,000 Iraqi and between 450,000 and 730,000 Iranian combatants killed during the Iran-Iraq War. An estimated 1,000 Kuwaiti nationals killed following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

And same time I could also add:

Approximately 500,000 Iraqi children dead because of international trade sanctions introduced following the Gulf War.

Source: http://www.moreorless.au.com/killers/hussein.html

3. Deterrence, hocuspocus, sign of madness, whatever you want to call it. By having them you just risk whole world and have put your own folk under the nuclear wing. I don't now get into how ridicilous things nuclear weapons are, but you should read Jonathan Schell's the Gift of Time.

Anyways to give you a slap, same time you got weapons to destroy whole world and say they're for defence, yet you don't let others to defend same way.

4. Japan was already giving up, it was only about the conditions you wanted to the peace threaty. Pear Harbour was an attack against soldiers and there was approximately 2500 dead people. How can you even compare that to Hiroshima (~100,000 dead immediately, tens of thousands later) or to Nagasaki with 75,000 immediately dead and tens of thousands later? Don't forget they were civils who died, not soldiers.

The reason for dropping them wasn't Japan, it was to show the world (pretty much to scare Germans and to give the Soviets a lesson what would happen if they kept coming too far to west) what kind of bombs you had.

5. You didn't answer to my question, so I'll give you an answer. So far at least 59,000 civilians have lost their lives during the time you've been there. Not bad, over 10,000 civilians each year.

I never said Iraqians haven't done wrong things. I just stated I support them. They got full rights to defend, I would defend too if you or any other country attacked us. A small(er than you) and separated country like Iraq must fight the same way Vietnamese fought; they can't have huge battles, they must strike and hide. Do it the nasty way.

I seriously had to sit town for a while and laugh when you said you're trying to give them freedom and set up a goverment in the same sentence. Yes, you might give them freedom if that means you tie them to you. Yes, you set up a working goverment which works for you. Just like the Soviet Union did in the Eastern Europe.

To the guy who said critism is good, did I say it wasn't? No you just assumed that because it could fit into what I said(If you didn't assume then disregard the above and accept my apologe).

Critism is part of support because it helps someone become better thats why good friends are honest. Insults and critism are too different lines although some people might think they cross.
