How many fire runes are you making? It never takes more then 10-15 seconds or so to make all your astral/cosmic/laws It shouldn't take that much more to make you fires. Also, with a decent team - people will make you fires when you're idle (or if you dg with the same group of people - ask them to in the beginning)

Well, if you want extremely low times - you're going to need a lot of money. Items are (for most tasks): FSH/Bandos/Barrow gloves/Dboots/Fury/Berserker(i)/DDef/Fire Cape There's no real substitution if you want to max asap. Uh, you're also going to need 95 prayer + 96 herblore (really like 91 or so) for turmoil + overloads Turmoil everything, and only do good tasks. You should be cannoning everything you can, and I believe for slayer exp only - a good task lisk gets around ~48k slayer exp per hour (this is obviously not counting effigies/etc) http://forum.tip.it/topic/296282-blocking-tasks/page__gopid__4908693#entry4908693 I asked a question about faster slayer exp and it's ^ Look at post 6 for the task list (I basically copy/pasted the slayer guide on RSOF task list - the guide is very well and provides numbers on almost everything)

Hmm, that makes sense. I'm still somewhat worried about my team raging at me because of my items lol. But then again, it's better than what I currently use. If I learned to key well, you still suggest the same binds for keying right? I'm pretty sure I'd need the same binds for it. Happen to have any info for the 2 type of rings I should use? Blazer as your primary, and if you're going to be on defensive - it's not worth going melee for Hope for a hex? That's the only way that range is going to be really viable on a team. However, even so - I've never heard of hex/mage combos D:

It's also nice since you're almost maxed already. There's going to be a lot less "XX teleport for this door" if you can already open them all

If you're looking at mahogany logs for making money, there's other things that's wrong with this. Regardless from this argument, you also get skills a lot cheaper (prayer/crafting/construction/etc) We can't really estimate the prices that it would be at without bots I guess that's a good thing. The most annoying things about bots are when they stop game play. Seriously, how can Jagex not ban all those hundreds of bots at black demons. They're all swarming the same god damn black demon for a good 5 seconds until the bot detect that it's being attacked and then moves onto a new one. It's ESPECIALLY a problem when there are more then twice the amount of bots as black demons. GF slayer tasks. To those people saying "it's not a big deal, you can always go on a foreign world/ct" That's a horrible argument. You basically have all the member world people who would be at black demons in the 10 or so foreign worlds. It's also annoying having to hop around for a few minutes to even find a place that's relatively free, and on top of that - players have been crashing black demons cause it's so hard to find a spot. Then you end up having to compete with another cannon/etc for black demons which can be just as annoying.

Is there a special reason your atk/str is at 74? It seems kind of high to be (for a tank). I think you would probably have more fun maxing this account, then starting a new one which can be a special range tank (and leave atk/str at 1 or something)

1.) House tablets are cheap.

Get juju potions (from hunter) and start doing herb runs ALL the time. This would provide tons of profit by the time you max farming and you can use those money towards buyables. Also, start doing shattering hearts - at first, I hated doing it. But if you do it every week, you notice that it ends up building up to a lot (especially at higher levels) You can get most of the rocks from leveling normally anyhow.
-
Oh, this just came to me. A while back (especially in the DGS thread), people were asking a lot about how to sidestep/safespot monsters. This has more application to DGs then anything else (as opposed to just standing behind rocks and ranging black demons all day). You could make a guide into combat mechanics (how the monsters move/how you should move to trap them/etc) It could be done normally (above ground), but trapping them in DGs would obviously be a lot more helpful to people. This is going to take a ton of work (and it might be better if you just DG'ed normally - grabbed videos and go back to look at examples at how you sidestepped/etc) But if completed, it would be amazing! Especially since the ones up on youtube are either poorly explained or outdated.
-
I'm not sure if you do this already - but you can always record it first/then explain it and shows clips of how you did it. I don't have any specific suggestions on guides you can make (and I don't if they have these out yet) But, I think making video guides for minigames would be awesome. Most of the minigames are explained poorly (in RS) and written guides don't always make sense or aren't always clear. However, video guides would bridge many of these problems and you can explain how it's done. It would only make sense if you did guides for bigger games: -Barbarian Assault -Castle Wars -Soul Wars You could make a simple guide explaining how the games are played (although it wouldn't really be simple) And maybe follow that one up with a different video explaining advanced tricks/ways to get more kills/be more effective etc

Didn't mention it indeed, but I will use it. Any more people have rates in amount of herbs per patch? They seem to vary quite a lot :/. Thanks for all the quick responses! As far as I know, the average herb per patch is 6.8 Obviously this will change if you're using juju's. I've been using remote farm and it looks like I'm curing a lot more then 10% of the time.

Are you trolling sir? A couple of days ago, you "advised" people on the strengths and weaknesses on chaotic weapon and then create a thread later asking pretty much the same question. You cannot use Ice Barrage at level 80. I haven't had much experience with soul wars - but since it is a multi combat area, I think you would want to use Burst spells > Blitz spells
-
He did include xp rates. I wanted to say that the video was extremely well made. However, the content of the video isn't so novel. I like that you put a lot of effort into your guides - but why not make a guide for something that's difficult/a totally new way to train. There's not much more to wc other then bringing a hatchet/lumberjack/urns/juju and clicking trees. This method doesn't really deserve a whole video because it's bringing nothing "new" to the table" (Sorry if I sound kind of mean - but your videos are really well done and I think it would make sense if you put it to a different use)
-
Not trying to start a big flame war but since you're level 61 - do you have any chaotic weaponry? On top of that, do you have any numerical data? Not that there isn't any data on this topic but just trying to keep the metagaming part of this thread in view.

http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=prayer_calc.htm 1.) Input the exp for 95 prayer/Put 99 as the target level 2.) Set Category as "Guilded Altar/Burners Lit" 3.) Click Tip Me 4.) Pick an item you want to use (presumable either infernal ashes/dbones/frost bones) 5.) Multiply quantity by price Viola
-
I think if you're doing: -barker toads - you'd be getting like ~100k exp an hour -fruit bat - you'd be getting like ~150k exp an hour I mean those are pretty good rates (if you're comparing to most other skills), however when I switched to rock lobsters - I went up to like 450-500k an hour. Green are pretty expensive usually (although at the moment, it seems like fruit bats are profitable but unicorns are like 9-10 gp/xp) For me, charm gathering is a little bit annoying (can't say I'm loving camping monsters out side of familiarization - cause I'd much level my crappy slayer level) so I pick up everything. But if you like bursting lob (for magic/hp exp) or you want to train melee more then you can drop yellow/green although the ones you have, you already wasted time picking up so you might as well keep it

Advanced Dungeoneering Help/Tactics/Tips & Tricks

Also, do not use ragers on flesh (I've heard of people using it just to sunder and then dismiss - but not sure if it works). Haven't gotten teams where people rager and the flesh spoiler just ends up switching targets/styles which makes it a lot more annoying then it has to be. However you can rager/sunder/whatever the second form as it only does melees (and those little bugs that it spawns too) -
Not sure on numbers, but I've never seen that ferocious loses out to anything. Can I get confirmation that seers (i) > ferocious on steels? (Obviously, you'd be in Kuradel's dungeon)
-
What's this all this about ancient magic? How would it help a pure? especially one that focuses on range
-
you do "familiarisation" - basically you get turned into a summoning familiar and you run around grabbing shards it's useful having the auto run thing (from the spa) after it, you can claim a 40 minute reward everything you kill in that time will drop triple charms some things you might wnat to try: 1.) waterfiends (AC/CT) 2.) black demons
-
If you're hunting draconic jadinkos - there would also be common jadinkos around You could ward them off (although I'm not sure why you would)
-
Is there a specific reason you wouldn't want to train prayer? What about summoning/slayer?
-
Also, some of the ones that don't have good exp rates have good charm rates (i.e wyverns/wfs) I know this isn't exactly what you had in mind, but when you're doing slayer - you might as well maximize slayer exp. It's by far the slowest skill (compared to melee/range/magic exp) but there's no other way to train it. With a fsh + piety, you should be getting close to 100k melee exp per hour on most tasks so it's not such a huge deal if you sacrifice a little bit of melee exp for charms + slayer exp
-
that's a bad idea since they're not common at all.
