Of course, you could stake, go to dk's, barrows, etc. But, doing so would bring up the question, what do you mean by scratch? straight from tutorial island all the way to 140m (or what ever the price has risen to in 4 months) on the 17th of august? or scracth being someone with moderate levels? then of course, we need to set what 'moderate' levels are. having your characted leveld different could infact make you very rich, or very poor. having staker stats could potentially get you your phat in a night, although very unlikely. having 91 rc could get you your phat in the 4 months easily. having a bank with 1k super restores, full guthans and 100k slayer dart casts with a characted that has all 99 combat stats could easily do the job up at DK's with a little bit of luck and knowledge. Starting a completely new account and getting a phat in 4 months would be extremely difficult though. The trick is fully understanding what your character is capable of doing in each and every staking situation. What range weapon is best for armor on stakes, what combinations of weapons and armor with specs on is going to bring down that person 10 cb lvls higher than you...what is the maximum amount of spaces a person can mage somebody outside of their ranging attack area...all of this and more is a virtually safe way to make up to 10M a day just by starting with some equipment at about 2M and 2M of gambling money. Note: The only reason I stopped gambling is, because it felt like robbing money, is against the religious beliefs I now believe in, and because I got all the money I needed to easily get magic up from 92-99 :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

arkwelded Posted April 18, 2007 Share Posted April 18, 2007 it all depends on how much you play. if you play like 13-16 hours a day making 150m in 4 months is easy. if you play 1-2 hours it is possible. if you play on weekends... well. -i can make around .5-1m an hour off my skills. so like 200 hours for a hat. -barrpws and dags are good cash, but i can only do 2-3 dag trips a day before getting burnt out. never had much luck at barrows, i average 1 item every 100 chests, i do better with slayer drops. -treasure trails shouldn't be considered, as it is not a sure thing. ive done quite a few and only got a few god pieces, 3 robins, and other misc junk. -staking is ok if you are lucky, but a good way to loose your ... if you arent. as for cursed you winning 7 bil... :roll: there is a role model :-k i wonder why he's banned :lol: oh yes, hes involved/benifited from every type of glitch and rule breaking in rs -merchanting is possible, but the lamest way to waste time in the game IMO. point is if you want a hat/rare you can get one, but it is a lot harder then it used to be. remeber the first santa i got was for a rune leg, and i paid 650k total for my mask set (got $$ making bow strings) :wink: i am playing Warcraft a lot more money, isnt much of a focus in that game, as you get good/cool stuff by drops. semi-retired as i am the lastest victim of computer crack! A lot of people got them back then and still have them mainly because it is much harder to get the required money now due to the rise in prices. Is it possible to get a phat from scratch in a reasonable amount of time? I can generally manage about 10m profit per week at Barrows (a very general average which varies enormously). In theory, I could make 160m in 4 months playing 2-3 per day at Barrows.
