I respect 99 cooking and fletching. They are "easy" 99's but still take a high amount of time and patience to get.

Sure 99 fletching is easier than 99 mining, but a 99 is a 99. It still takes time and dedication to get.

Go for rcing, i think its only high 70's to break into the top 10k players? I no its well bellow 81... (as im ranked just outside the top 4k with my rcing..)

 

 

 

So your saying that because they got a 99 we should respect them? Yet someone who is equally high ranked in say mining or rc we dont go around prasing. unless your sugesting that every 80+ rcer and 90+ miner you see we should bow down to? I think that they aren't as respectable as the other skillcaes, however they are more respectable than any non-skillcape. I like cooking and fletching becausae I can do other things while doing them. \ Thats why there my 2 of my highest skills, because I can do them at same time as hw. :D

These people that show you no respect. Do they have any level 99 skill? Do they know how tough it is to get 13 million exp? I bet even there total levels aren't 6 million exp. A 99 skill in anything is somehting to be proud of, no matter what jealous idiots say.

a 99 is a 99 all adds to total level and experience nothing bad about having a 99 in that skill as it going to be done sooner or later

Yes, but there are people who don't have enough time to play enough to get 99 fletching or cooking in 2 weeks. Plus there are plenty of people who can't afford to buy 99 in one go, so they have to go sell and buy which can be frusturating at times when there are no sellers at a realistic price.

 

And from 1 to 80 you get levels very often and that inspires most people to keep up. Sure they notice that 79-80 is harder than 1-2, but it is still very fast in fletching to get from 79 to 80.

I think that every skill deserves respect... regardless of which.

 

 

 

Any lvl 99 skill is an ACHIEVEMENT hence, the name.

 

 

 

Having said this, certain capes do deserve more respect than others as capes such as runescrafting, slayer, and smithing require a lot of time to achieve. Construction and Prayer less so, as they're bought skills, but still fantastic to achieve.

 

 

 

I have both the cooking and fletching capes, along with another six. To be honest, I NEVER wear them though as they just don't attract any respect like you said.

 

 

 

However, if I wear my crafting cape, I'm constantly bugged for the emote....

I wear my fletch cape proudly, i cut all of my own logs, with the exception of buying 2k mage logs once. took forever that way, but I dont buy stats. to each their own, my two cents.

People generally take 2 weeks to finish off 99 fletching/cooking. They are able to find time because the skills can be AFKed so easily. Those who take more are on the slow side.

 

 

 

Plenty of people can afford 99 cooking, it's less than 10 mill (let alone fletching where you don't even lose money) AND you get cash back.

 

 

 

79-80 isn't exactly what I would call "very fast", it's 200k exp. Over an hour reguardless of which skill. 20k exp would be "very fast" in my book.

It doesn't take a month, it can take a lot less depending how much you play.

 

 

 

When you wear a fletching cape, you show you are proud of your 99 fletching accomplishment. You're certainly not wearing it for looks I assume *cough*

 

 

 

Well, when people see you with that cape, they catch the message "I am proud of my 99 fletching", and that gets them into their death instinct mode, and they'll abuse you because they find it very noobish to be proud of that noobish accomplishment.

 

 

 

However, by not showing your cape and leaving it in the bank, it means that you are not proud of it because you know it is a nooby accomplisment, and people will be cool with you.

So my construction level (87) deserves as much respect as a level 94 runecrafter just because it's a unpopular skill?

 

 

 

I personally don't respect fletching or cooking capes, however I can depending on the reason, if you got it because you like the skill then I respect that and I respect you as a player, the cape however I do not respect.

A 99's a 99, no matter how common. I respect the capes, but unlike if I see for example an Agility cape I'm more "Oh, nice cooking level" rather than "Oh snap that guy/girl has 99 agility."

 

 

 

Those who blantantly disrespect a cape simply because of how common it is need a reality check and to learn some respect.

Yeah it is kind of sad, and i also get told off for getting 99 fletching, but honestly, not everyone in runescape has it. I also have worn my cape less now that i have the fire cape Which, in my book, is better than the 99 fletching cape.

 

 

 

But just remember, those 99 skills you got took you a good deal of time and energy, so make sure you know that, and its an achievement, regardless of what others think.
