Defence noobs, are we noobs?

personally i love defense i almost have more exp in defense than i do in atk and str combined. lol Defense is def a great skill to raise i don't care what anyone says.

Pures will always complain about that, I have a pure to. I don't think if you walk around in Seers with a Defence Cape that they call you 'def nub!!' :XD: They'll first say 'em0t3 plzzzz!' if you refuse they'll call you noob.

 

 

 

That's only in the wilderness mostly edge. PKers want to kill people, if they can't hit that person they will say 'def nub'. :-w

I don't usually care, except for one time where a kid was in hides and guthans helm and I hit a total of 3 damage on him :/. Range is supposed to get hit often by melee, yet I hit more often on full dh... hm.

 

 

 

I've been called a food noob, pure noob, skiller noob, str noob, all that. Its because people have egos and can't accept the fact that they aren't the best or got owned.

 

 

 

Def is def. Look, 70 att is gonna hit almost the same on someone with 70 def even if you're 1 def or 99 def. I say more later.

Well I'd say, I'm a pker myself, It's just more fun fighting people with like close to the same defence or low defence since you hit eachother more often, and because most people with high def and same cb have low str, they almost never be able to kill you, and you will never be able to kill them since they hit low and you hit not often. But meh that's my opinion :

Defense pwns. Thats why its a stat. Its up to you to decide whether to train it. You shouldn't complain because someone chose a different route for combat.

defence and attack melee pures will rarely get a kill, but they will never die if everyone in the wild is melee.

 

 

 

pures will never kill them, but pure str has a chance to kill range mage or melee.

 

 

 

in a duel high def and att will always win because you cant run from duels.

In the grand scheme of things, and the probable desire for 126 combat, training defense is, in most cases, fairly stupid.

 

 

 

Assuming you have a defense level to sufficiently wear the armor that you have, then training strength or attack will allow you to kill things faster and so providing you have the resources (food, pots etc) you will be able to level much faster.

 

 

 

i.e. You would train defense from 70-99 with 99 str/attack much faster than you would train str from 70-99 with 99 defence.

 

 

 

note: This is of course assuming you train on suitable monsters, and I'm not speaking about player v player combat either.

 

 

 

However, that was a little off topic. I believe the main reason for being called a 'defense noob' relates back to the days of RS classic. The stats were unevenly balanced, with defense having very little value (hence the birth of 'pure' pkers). Old habits, I say.

Personally, I don't mind defence. People like to complain about anything, whether it is defence, or lack there of. My reason for keeping mine at 45 is a stat goal, and it generally helps me with pking. Defence or not, I think it really shouldn't matter, but rather the person behind the player. If you are fighting some idiot who lost to you and gets upset they will just whine regardless of your defence, whether they call you a "defence noob" or a "cheater pure" it really doesn't matter to them. Just the same it should not matter to you. Some snotty nosed 12-year old is mad at you for pking them.. that should be their loss, not yours.

 

 

 

Bottom line, any stats are great, provided the player is as well.

I think people complain because they cant go the easy way out. Most 1 def are pkers and they only want to fight other 1 def people. Idk.

 

1-defer's apparently "own" with 1 defence because they hit more often. I was playing around with the Tip.It Combat Calculator ( http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=combat_calc.htm) and I found out that if you maxed out your attack, strength, hp, magic, prayer, and range, but not defence, you would be 101 combat. But let's say you bring 2 defence lvls up, you become 102 combat!

 

 

 

24 combat levels. Now for pkers that "own," that would make a big difference :ohnoes:

I think the main accounts will always insult the pures for manipulating their combat stats. And pures will always insult the main accounts for being defence noobs... Honestly I think every class will always insult another one because they haven't got the advantage over them. Pures have to live with main accounts and I guess we'll have to live with them.
