My_Eggs
Tell her it's a last resort if the birth control fails (which it did). In all honesty, it does the exact same job a condom or birth control pills would do. I think you're putting the cart before the horse though--first you guys need to talk. Seriously just talk. Because this is big. I know we need to talk, but the issue is that if she is going to be okay with taking the pill, there isn't a whole lot of time left to talk. She has school until 2:45 tomorrow and gets home at around 3:30 because she rides the bus. If I wait until she gets home to talk to her that takes our 40 hour window that we have left right now down to 26 hours (that's how long we'll have when she gets home, then we'll have the time we talk for and the hour or so it'll take to get to and from the store to take off of our time left). I just don't want to wait too long and have it not work. Then again, either way I'm going to have to wait for her to get home to give her the pill if she's okay with it. I guess I could go to the store while she's at school and pick it up, then talk to her when she gets home and if she's okay with it then I'll have it ready. If she's not okay with it then it'll just be a few dollars wasted and I'll just have to hope that she isn't really pregnant and she's just freaking herself out over the condom breaking. This is why I love abortion. None of this nitpick nervousness. But I'm just saying. I'm okay with abortion too. When she first said she thought she might be pregnant I wasn't that worried, I just thought to myself "Well, we'll just have to get an abortion I guess". Then I thought a bit more and remembered that she was completely against abortion. That's when I started getting really nervous. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Tim
Tell her it's a last resort if the birth control fails (which it did). In all honesty, it does the exact same job a condom or birth control pills would do. Thanks. I feel so dumb for knowing so little about this kind of stuff. If I'm going to be sexually active I should know what I'm doing and have back up plans in mind. Ugh, now I'm at the age where my parents don't have to bail me out of trouble if they don't want to and I'm still being irresponsible. #-o #-oIt's natural to freak out. I've known heaps of people who have always played safe etc when they had sex and what not, they take precautions but when that fear hits them that it might have happened, it's natural to totally freak out. Thankfully, that's yet to happen to/for me. Others....not so lucky. Played the whole "rubbers ruin it" card, didnt bother taking proper pills etc, 3/5 of those are single moms now. the other 1 is OCD about pills to ensure it doesn't happen (which is smart), the other (sadly) isn't fertile. Iamdan
At least in Australia, the woman has to be the one to buy the morning after pill. When a partner of mine had to get one, the pharmacist told her it's basically just a strong dosage of the regular pill. In any case, it's highly unlikely that she is pregnant even if she isn't on the pill. Her body makes it difficult to get pregnant as a part of natural selection. Some couples try for ages to have a baby. Also if it happened outside her fertile part of her cycle, which is just before her period, then it reduces the chances greatly again. I sure hope it isn't the woman that has to buy it in America. If that's the case, she won't be able to buy it without a prescription because she's not 17 yet... Edit: Just checked the Planned Parenthood site and it says the plan b pill can be purchased at any pharmacy by women OR men over the age of 17. That's good to know, now hopefully she'll be okay with it. Noxx
Well, i think one of our cats might lose a paw :\I was on my way to the kitchen to get a glass when i heard my cat crying somewhere. I ran to see what was going on and it was limping. I picked it up and it looked like someone had smashed it left front paw with a hammer or something. The cat is still really small. I don't even know what to do. The vet closed at 2pm, this happened at 2:21pm. We put some disinfectant on it, but i don't know how much it's going to help. Past the morning after, its effects will be way lower. If you're allowed to purchase it yourself (god that would be handy) then gooo freaking get it for her now! There's a very high chance that these pills (usually taken in 2) will [bleep] up her hormonal levels and give her an extreme period, so you want her on your good side. My_Eggs
Just make her go to school late, or call up sick... Ugh, she'd already gotten on the bus by the time I read this. So much stress I can hardly think straight.... The stress has been relieved a bit though. I texted her and she agreed to take the pill. She told me to go get it and have it ready for when she gets home from school. Now all I can do is pray (even though I don't believe in God, so maybe I'll leave the praying up to her) that the pill works/she is just over reacting to the scare of the condom breaking. Time to go to the store. I'll be back in like an hour or so. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Furah
My brother was pretty pissed off when we moved to Missouri. The age for a CCW in Iowa was 21 I believe, and he planned to get a gun and a CCW when he turned 21. Then we moved to Missouri about a month before his birthday and now he has to wait another 2 years to get it.He should feel privileged to even be able to legally obtain one. If I want a ranged weapon I have to run to the back shed, grab the bow and then run to the side shed to grab some arrows. If I don't get the opportunity, it's either grab my Bowie knife, collapse their trachea, shatter their humerus bone, or snap their neck. I'd honestly take a life if it was a them or me situation, but I'd rather being able to use the international greeting of a loaded handgun or shotgun being cocked. EDIT: Her period is due any day now. So the chances of her being pregnant are even lower? That makes me feel a bit better about this whole situation. I'd still like to get the pill just to be safe. I sure hope it isn't the woman that has to buy it in America. If that's the case, she won't be able to buy it without a prescription because she's not 17 yet...The few days before the woman gets her period she is infertile, but make sure she gets the pill anyway, just to be sure. Distracted
Are you sure it wasn't just someone that accidentally stepped on the cat's paw? It sounds very far-fetched that someone would pick up a cat and then have it lay still while smashing its paw with a hammer. Whatever it was, best of luck. My_Eggs
I'm back and I really hope that she goes through with taking the pill like she said she would. I grabbed the $40 from my brother's room that I gave him to buy me alcohol with, and boy am I glad I did. The Plan B One Step pill ended up being $55.82. I'm now broke and our 1 month anniversary is on Friday... We planned on going to a movie and then dinner afterwards but she doesn't really have any cash and now I don't either. Making sure she isn't pregnant is more important than going out and having fun though. Edit: Oh, and buying the pill wasn't nearly as awkward as I thought it was going to be. The lady working in the pharmacy at Walmart was really polite and didn't ask any questions or anything. I just asked if they had it, she said yeah and grabbed the box for me, scanned it, told me what my gf and I should do, then wished me the best of luck. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. l0rd
Apparently my TIF account had been compromised back in February. Thanks to the TIF admins, today it is now recovered! I've been inactive on these forums for a few dozen internet-decades, but with the impending release of Stellar Dawn I decided I might as well re-open this account in case I ever need a place to spout my antics/opinions, point out a flaw in your emotionally-charged argument, talk about SD if it is actually released, fish for sympathy since I gave away/sold/staked away my party hats before they were worth >200m ea, or talk about the good ol' days of RuneScape like a pretentious arse. Who knows, maybe I'll even reignite the ol' TipIt YouTube channel that the mods and admins so despised  . But not really. RpgGamer
Why didn't you guys get a Plan B pill right after you realized the condom had broken? How much do those generally cost? Because I'm nearly broke right now, I've got like $10.You can get it at pretty much any pharmacy. I don't know the price but here's a coupon? http://www.planbones...com/coupon.aspx this might be highly inappropriate to say, but the fact that this post exists literally made me throw my head back and laugh. You have like a 70-some% chance that she's not pregnant anyway, regardless of the Plan B pill. (Oh ovulation, you so silly.) I would wait a little bit, let the frustration subside, and go talk to her. You need to be there for eachother.
