Dubstep is pretty massive here too. Last week, on the snowboarding trip, we had some speakers on our room and 70% of the time it played dubstep like

,
or
. I'm personally not a huge fan (as in, I don't know all the different artists or have it on my iPod) but I do like it. The appeal is in the drops, the parts where the music seems to become very random (especially noticeable in the first two tracks I linked, the last one is a bit chiller). They're meant to be as intense as possible, and if they're played at a party, you'll usually get mosh pits or acts of extreme headbanging. Personally I've never heard of brostep as a genre, though I do know older dubstep usually doesn't have those big drops like the more modern tracks do. It's kind of an acquired taste though, I can understand people thinking it's pure noise (I thought that too at first).

Came back from the hospital, it's a light concussion, as I thought, and I'm supposed to stay at home for the next few days.

Tomorrow, a train trip with my younger sister to Manchester where we must observe animals for her to draw.

The only animals I've seen here in Manchester are cats and pidgeons :D

Why are there so many Chinese type Asians in Manchester?

You might find your answer by reading into history.

My school's prom will probably have dubstep playing at it....

OT:

I'm considering buying a $17 Charizard watch. It's between that and a Zekrom one. What's better, awesomeness of desgin on watch or apparent trustworthyness of watch strap? I'm pretty much figuring that I can always replace the watch strap so I'll go with the design.

Also, how does one figure out if a poorly known seller's website is legitimate and trustworthy? (Googling them turned up pretty much nothing and they don't have a forum/comments section so my main methods are gone.)

Edit: I've also decided to be more active here. I've missed this palce.

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]

I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.

I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(

Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:

I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.

Well once you go behind Picadilly Gardens down towards Oxford road you hit China Town, it's a pretty big area as well. :)

Anyway, OT, today I managed to bang my head on the corner of the car door, leaving a nice little lump there. It happened because I was getting in the car but I was distracted because my bf was annoyed at me for being [bleep]y earlier on (to be fair, I was) and pretty much swung the door right in my face  It's still sore but I don't think I did any major damage :P My head is messed up enough as it is :D

Today, I arrived home quite madly drunk at 6 AM. We got back from Kaunas in Lithuania, where we on a choir music festival.

Needless to say, our choir got the [bleep]ING GRAND PRIX ON A [bleep]ING INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION!!!!!!!!!!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

96 points out of 100, jury was composed of 3 music doctors, 2 of them from Lithuania, the head organizer and Robert Delgado who some of you may know as somewhat of a god in the choral music. He has been in the jury for the whole European choral championships, he is 2 times doctor methinks, and he has written over hundreds of choral versions of various songs. And our small and humble school choir got long-lasting standing ovations, we had to do extra songs and it was freaking AMAZING! We were there since Thursday and on Friday we had another concert and it coincided with our national Independence Day that even Google celebrated so we sang the national anthem and it was quite teardropping to see some members of the audience and the main proclamator quietly sing along. On Saturday was the main competition and we did brilliantly as you could understand so you can guess that the celebration on the bus trip home got quite freaking awesome and to the end I was really-really drunk for the first time in 3 months...

Oh, and it was my first ever trip abroad with this choir, so I can just say:

Awesome stuff, Saqprets!

-

I'm frustrated that this concert I'm trying to go to is $12/ticket but then it's $16 for shipping and processing fees.

What should be less than $25 is costing me close to $50. wtf.

Was a helluva time and would've been a bit nicer if I wouldn't be just 2 weeks from being 18 (drinking age) and my classteacher hadn't rubbed it in my nose 6 times during the trip. But on the bustrip back home she was partying with all of us.

Oh, and one more hint, Kaunas isn't great as a tourism destination. There aren't any great sites besides a museum for devils, the new Kaunas algiris arena and 2 shopping malls that aren't that huge.

1) Go into work Friday, one of the clients has chest infection.

2) On Saturday, notice the classic symptoms of an onsetting cold.

3) Wake up Sunday with a running nose and sneezing.

4) Got to be in work, fit and healthy on Monday.

Not chance in hell of 4) happening.

For anyone who noticed I was gone (going to read the pages I missed tomorrow, 612 to 620 so I don't forget), I'm back.

Spent a week is Disney World with my family. Weather was on our side with shorts and t-shirt weather the whole time, with one relatively cold night, and one hour long thunder shower (Florida does not skimp on the showers. When it rains, it really freaking rains). Not quite warm enough to make the water parks worth it though, so that was the first trip there I was on that we didn't bother with them. Getting home was a lot less fun, with snow storms in Canada delaying the plane that was to bring us back so much that when we arrived (in a snow storm, naturally), our plane was so delayed that our connection left without us (to be clear, there was supposed to be a two hour layover and our connection was an hour late leaving). The next flight was booked, so we were for the one after that, which was delayed by 5 hours. They got us on, and its now raining instead of snowing, and our pilots announce that they are about to run up against the legal duty hour limit, and if we have to de-ice we wont be taking off at all unless they can find another crew. So its all good, we don't need de-icing, so the [bleep]ing airport has us wait at the terminal for 20 minutes until it starts snowing again, and the flight gets cancelled. The best part was, we would have left hours earlier, but the plane before it had mechanical difficulties and tied up the gate for an extra 90 minutes, and even though the airport was half empty by that point, they couldn't be bothered to send our plane to a free gate. Airline did pay for a hotel after a 2 hour line up, but the next day it didn't look like we would get a flight back home for at least a couple days, so we got a rental car that needed to return to our home airport (for a sweet deal that saved like $1200 on the rental cost), and spent the better part of a day driving. Got home about 28 hours later than originally planned.

Worked, ate sushi and bought a 2TB HDD External w/USB3 so I can back up everything and reformat my PC.

Only sucky part is re-cracking Photoshop again. (Im not paying $400 for something I tinker with on a rare occasion. )

What a strangely specific thing to block it for.

Weird how it must have been frequent enough to warrant a block.

I'm such a genius that I left my PC at my parents today, and I actually kind of need it for school if only because its holding files I need. This means taking a trip back out to their place to get it once traffic clears up, which is a nice waste of time and money.
