Ha, well my post wasn't meant to start a "who spent more time drinking" post chain (in fact I didn't even read Rpg's post until now), nor am I in high school.

 

It was fun to have a shenanigan-filled day for once though because I know I won't be able to when homework starts piling up.

RPG and I are not in high school either.

Unless you down at least 5 kegs of hard liquor a night you're not a proper drinker. Come on guys get on my level. :razz:

 

 

Meanwhile: College is wonderful. A hundred times better than highschool so far- mostly just because the free enviornment actually encourages me to procrastinate less, somehow.

Of course I have to share one car with both my parents every day, due to our spare vehicle's engine failing a week after we dropped $1,100 into fixing it. But I can stand some inconveniences with transportation until I have enough saved up to buy my own car.

Yes Hawks, you can't take the log of a negative number. A positive number to a power will never output a negative number.

 

Edit: Though, that is also log _4.5 (-3.5) If that helps you any. It's still not solvable, but that's a different form that may help depending on the context of the problem.

I'm starting to go down with Freshers Flu, our next door flat have all got it too. It's been there for about five days but it's starting to really come on now. It's been a good week though.

I had to do a presentation today and it went horribly. Sigh. Bad public speaker, so bad.

Slept for 0 hours last night, and now I'm skipping 2 classes to finish an English assignment that was due last Friday. I use my time well...

Today I got lucky: lots of douches were parallel parking wrong: excessive space between cars but not enough to park in. If the spaces were filled you could of parked 10 more cars in there I swear. At the end of the line I saw a good spot: I parked in the closest possible spot to my class, tightly between the red curb (start of the parking) and the car in front of me. :thumbup:

Had some fever because of the flu today. Was struggling to stay awake during my vmware test and classes this morning. Went and bought some Advils at noon and was able to concentrate this afternoon.

Even with the distance there's always people in the same boat :P. Hope today wasn't so bad for you, I was still feverish today, but luckily I had Advil this time.

 

Also, somehow, I aced the test!

I am quite fed up with having a crappy math teacher. This is the second time I've had no clue how to do an assignment, despite going to class and paying attention and taking good notes on the lecture. I've spent 4 hours, at least, on just half of this assignment, and I don't know what I'm doing, and there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't know what I'm doing because these concepts aren't that advanced. It's put me in a terrible mood all day, I haven't gotten anything else done today even though I needed to, and I'm probably not even going to get it done in time to turn it in tomorrow because I have another [bleep]ing class right afterwards that I have to get shit done for. This is absolute bull shit. I want to go back to high school, for real.

Seems like pretty much everyone is getting the typical back to school illness.

I've pretty much accepted the fact that it tends to be really difficult to learn math from a teacher at a certain point, unless said teacher is very exceptional. Basically I learn everything from the textbook, and just use the teacher as a guideline of where I should be in the book/as a source of example problems.

Lots of studying to do tomorrow, since I've been a piece of shit for the past few days and haven't studied at all. I may have to skip my Krav Maga class, which sucks because it's a lot of fun. Either way, this next week should be good after I take my Calc exam, since my roommate is going back to China for a while and my girlfriend is going to spend the week with me.

 

But yeah, I have to basically teach myself Calculus tomorrow, since the exam is Friday and I hardly know anything. The goal is honestly just a passing grade, although a B would be fantastic. I know I won't get the A because I'm honestly probably not going to be able to get the correct answer for a lot of the questions, but partial credit should be enough tot get by on.
